I don't blame anybody but especially those "wise" Igbos who come out in public to engage in all this vain arguments. It makes no sense trying to attack people whose place you are living in. Choice of voting is a personal thing and does not at all deserve all this cursing and all that, if not that we usually lack in how conduct ourselves.
The wise will ignore the Oba's threat, etc and go vote for whoever they like, and that's it.
I still do wonder how Nigerians who still live together come out on a public forum like this to exhibit so much hatred again one another, simply because it is a faceless forum. We all know we have our issues, but somehow we still have been able to carry on somehow.
People should learn to let sleeping dogs lie!
Many Nigerians especially those on this forum are shameless people!
AndreRose: What circumstances would warrant one to be sexual worker and be proud of it too? This SMS irks me. They don't even have shame. Well, what can say, there are different people in this world. SMH
No big deal my sister, it's that same thing that will make an average woman today come out in public half naked. After all, isnt s*x in itself so sweet?
Crazy Nigerians. Whatever it may be, if the Niger Delta region does not get the treatment of the goose that lay the golden eggs it deserves under this dispensation, apathetic Nigerians should not just think the worst they will do is do nothing.
People easily forgot how Yar adua came about the amnesty stuff.
They will shut down the economy, after all nobody might be interested in anything else but the Niger Deltan oil as source of income.
It wont make any sense for anyone to take them for granted!

torhuke: Some are calling GEJS defeat a disgrace. Some say he destroyed the pdp. And I say they are ignorant of Nigeria's configuration and political history. As far as Nigeria is concerned, the north will continue to determine who governs Nigeria. Ask Obasanjo and he will tell you that Alliance For Democracy (AD) was the dominant party in yoruba land when he became president under PDPs umbrella. It was the North that made him president. But for GEJs inroad to the NorthCentral in 2011, he wouldn't have been president. The same north that brought the PdP to power in 1999 is the north that has brought APC to power in 2015. And fact is that apart from those who have reasons why they didn't want GEJ and the PdP, if General Sani Abacha resurrects to contest elections against a southerner, he will still get the kind of massive support and votes buhari got from the north. It's not just at the federal level. In Kogi, the Igala's of Kogi East determines who becomes governor of that state and they have remained in power like forever. In kaduna, the people of northern kaduna determines who governs that state and the same luck that made Goodluck Jonathan president is what made Late Patrick Yakowa, the first governor from southern Kaduna after Namadi sambo was picked as Vice President by GEJ. In Benue, the Tivs determines who becomes governor and that's is why the idoma's are clamoring for Gurara state. In Borno, if you are not kanuri, I doubt if you can be LG chairman. I can go on and on. So as much as majority of NIGERIANS wanted change, it will be ignoble to vilify GEJ for PDPs fall. The Igbo's did very well supporting GEJ and the Niger-Deltans owe them a lot. As long as we remain one Nigeria, they will be supported likewise whenever the need arises. But they will still need the north just as this years elections have shown.
Be That as it may, I still love you Jonathan. You have taught me another class of humility, how to smile in the face of challenges and opposition, how to be a winner, how to rise from grass to grace, how to be a Goodluck charm, how to be calm in the eye of the storm, how not to give up because you never did, how to accept criticism, how to smile with even with the enemy, how not to allow your background determine your future, How to accept defeat no matter how Painful and many more.
Be that as it may, one of Jona's greatest undoing is his inability to deliver/perform. At least conspicous projects that will appeal in the south west, esp Lagos that could make great impressions would have made a lot of difference.
Krak: Nigerians are so used to the idea that an incumbent should win presidential elections that President Goodluck Jonathan's failure to beat Gen Muhammadu Buhari needs some explaining. Here are five reasons why the opposition won:
1: Harder to rig Past elections have been marred by serious irregularities and suspicions of rigging. In 2007 observers said the presidential poll was not "credible". In 2011 the vote was considered to be better run but observers said that rigging and fraud still took place. This time the electoral commission took more steps to prevent rigging, including new biometric voters cards. Also President Jonathan's party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP), had lost control of some key states which meant it could not control the electoral process there.
2: Boko Haram and security
The Nigerian army has made some recent gains against Boko Haram, but not enough to convince Nigerians The election took place against the background of an Islamist insurgency in the north-east of the country. The Boko Haram militant group has killed 20,000 people and forced some three million others from their homes and President Jonathan was criticised for not getting to grips with this. The poll was delayed for six weeks to give time for the security situation to improve, but even though most areas controlled by Boko Haram were recaptured, it seems to have come too late for many people.
3: United opposition, crumbling PDP
The extra six weeks of vigorous campaigning by the PDP was not enough to halt the slide in the party's fortunes The PDP has been described as an election-winning machine. When it was created it united a northern elite with leading politicians from the south, but that alliance has broken up and the party lost some key figures. Even former President Olusegun Obasanjo came out against Mr Jonathan. At the same time, the opposition managed to unite under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner. The last six weeks of desperate and dirty campaigning, in which the APC responded in kind, was not enough to turn the tide.
4: Economy
Nigeria's economy is growing but the wealth is not being spread around Nigeria is Africa's biggest oil producer and its largest economy, but many fail to feel the benefits with nearly half the population living below the poverty line. Continued corruption is seen as partly being to blame. National income is due to grow by more than 5% this year and next year, but people did not seem in the mood to thank Mr Jonathan for this.
5: Time for a change
APC supporters chanted "change" wherever they went and it seems to have caught the mood. The PDP has been in power since the end of military rule in 1999, and 2015 is the year that Nigerians decided that someone else should have a go at sorting things out.
President-elect Buhari now has to prove he really can change things.

Any specific installation instructions. That is just the apk file. What of cache? Did install and run the apk, it aint enough. Please throw more light. Thanks.
kosovo: This is just one of the news Nigerians ought to have heard 3-4 years ago. However, because of how complex Nigeria is and sympathy to ethnic bigotry, I guess the president was slow to avoid rebellion from the North, which is still obviously visible.
Senerio1:
Had the president declared full scale war on these terrorist before Now. The Northern statesmen who have sympathy for these terrorist will start their madness, insisting a Minority leader is killing the Hausa(s).
We heard one of the clearless statements from BUHARI, where he wanted faceless terrorist to be given same treatment as the Niger-Delta militants. He concluded by saying "an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North"
When President Yar Adua wanted Amesty for the militants, it was Vice President Goodluck Jonathan they picked as the negotiator. The VP went into the creeks without his security men. They secured a deal which ended the crises.
Reversal1:
Buhari is picked as the negotiator for the faceless terrorist fighting for an Islamic state which is not justifiable like the what the militants fought for. (note the usage of militant and terrorist for Niger-Delta and Boko Haram respectively). Buhari accepts initially, then rejects the process because he sees that he can use the insurgency to gain sympathy votes which is what could have happened today. Buhari claims he can end insurgency in one month, but can only do that from Aso Rock. This does raise eyebrows. If he decides to sit and watch the throat of innocent Nigerians being slit by these terrorist, when he can do something but refuses, it sends a very strong message to those who can make use of their brain to think.
Why the sudden offensive by the Presidency?
Good question. If you read scenerio1, you'd realize a lot has changed. Chad and Cameroon decided to show total commitment to ending insurgency.. Then, there was a boost from the AU, which affirmed 7,800 troops for the same cause. Obviously, the Northern elements can't use Jonathan as the scapegoat when the bombardment of the region starts. It's no longer an internal issue, forces from the AU decision makes it a continental problem. Is Jonathan Afraid to Lose?
If Jonathan was scared of loosing, he would have quickly accepted the suggestion of IBB at the security council meeting not to conduct elections in the troubled states (Buhari's stronghold). President Jonathan rejected the idea immediately it came, insisting elections must be carried out nation-wide. Things like this, you are probably reading about it for the first time because the media we have today, only search for bad things and these are further echoed by APC apologists.
President Jonathan would be returned elected, Nigeria hasn't got to that point where you can oust an incumbent president whose powers know no bound. It is not enough to perform media hype with a slogan. This isn't the United States, elections are not won online but by grass root politicking and on the day of the election.
Most of the APC agents would be rendered powerless on the day of election by the monetary power of the PDP. It's always going to happen.. Anyone deceiving the APC and her candidate is really doing a nice job.
Until we have a democratic system, where Police and Army chiefs are not nominated and appointed by the president. Until we have a system where the electoral chairman isn't nominated and appointed by the president.. We would keep enduring this wild goose chase.
Let me state here that I have no sympathy for any political party and/or their candidates.
You seem to know so much. Hope faithful moles in the army still find their feet.
Guys, either way with these two gladiators, isn't it a deadend?
Besides, those screaming pdp is this and that seem to quickly forget that very many of these APC people were themselves core PDP elements who have not changed their characters, including likes of Atiku, Obj even IBB people we hv suffered under them.
Interesting times. Watching to see what plays out.
konos: Bihari, talk, talk and talk! U when someone is not the driving a car, he wil say "if I am giving the opportunity to drive, I will do so and so..." it is so easy to criticize. But when he gets there will he do as promised? I rest my case
Reminds of Obj who had 3 different shots at the presidency yet could not perform all the wonders one could imagine.
He now speaks against the current govt as a "messiah".
nwanna89: I am sure the current administration is doing all these. The real problem with this Boko Haram issue is internal sabotage. I think the govt realized this late, and has started dealing with the problem. Many soldiers and officers are being charged now. Honestly, none of the ideas in that post wowed me. From what my soldier friend who is in the Northeast told me, all those ideas are being implemented currently.
Word! Obviously a major target of these boko murderers is to end up rubbishing the current govt, which already they have achieved as many have simply lost faith in the current govt.
Boko haram is actually a well organised confusion being faithfully and well funded by our very own influential people. They are the major issue!
Very worthy of mention in all this is fact that these boko haram murderers are not just doing these things on their own.
Many fail to recognize that these guys are being backed by our very own very powerful and influential people over there who are themselves are the real bokoharam.
Shekau does not have what it takes to cause this kind of vioence. I am more concerned about their sponsors, and the real undisclosed motive behind all this bloodshed.
People should think deeply about this:Who are those our people behind this bokoharam, and why are they doing this?
HighBK: Earlier this week, Ayo Fayose sponsored a controversial advert in Nigerian Newspapers, notably front-page of Punch (check it here if you missed it). The advert generated a lot of buzz in the media, PDP was quick to disown the advert while Fayose maintained that he has no apology for the advert.
Well, seems the advert fund is not exhausted. The Governor today sponsored another ad-set, taking a shot at General Muhammadu Buhari. In the advert as seen on page 9. of the Punch; he emphasized that Buhari is too old to be President at 72.
Buhari is too old to be President at 72 Even APS Governor Raji Fashola admits the need for youthfulness in governance. Fashola has said, "When I took this job at the age of 44, I was counting the number of white hair on my head. Today at 52, I am counting the number of black hair on my head. "You see, this job is a tough job, you need youthfulness to do this job"
Hmmm! This Fayose guy still sayng the same thing in a different way. Fact that the general has come of age is undeniable. Even his shaky voice says so.
Wahala90: Who killed Ben Ogedengbe by a death penalty for a crime that didn't carry death penalty when he committed it? Who doesn't attend the Federal Executive Council meetings yet collects his allowances? Who cancelled former Lagos Governor Jakande's metroline and forfeited the $50 million paid for it by the then Lagos State Government? Who used Violence to stop the 1985 National Conference of the National Association of Nigeria Students? Who jailed Tai Solarin and denied him his asthma drugs simply because he campaigned against military rule and for democracy? Who Jailed Nduka Irabor and Tunde Thompson for writing a truthful report which embarrassed his Government? Who raided respected Papa Awolowo's house and seized his passport so he couldn't travel out of the country? Was he also corrupt? Who threw Former Vice President Alex Ekweme in jail even though it was proven that Ekweme never stole any money? Who jailed honest and respected Pa Adekunle Ajasin? Who jailed Fela Kuti in I984 for singing against the dictatorial tendencies of his Military Government? Who banned the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) during his regime? Who stopped the Ooni of Ife from traveling abroad simply because he visited the holy land of Israel in 1984? Who broke up the press conference of ASSU in 1984 and detained four of their executives? Who jailed Beko Ransome Kuti who only demanded for the release of his brother?
OP nice one! One thing I can say is people esp in position should be warry things they do, as some day, the stories will be told like this. Obviously, every little mistake a person makes can turn to become a big issue in times to come. . .It's always good to carry the people along.
