that was an easter egg. It didn't link infinity war to marvel. But cap marvel did the linking in its film. It's like u saying just becos a guy wearing a jacket with the name Jordan whose face wasn't shown on an arrow epis0de meant arrow linked up with green lantern. All that symbol showed was fury reaching to s0me0ne who could've been any0ne. It didn't link directly to the cap marvel film. N0w had it been, fury said s0mething like "where in the galaxy are u danvers?" b4 the symbol came on, then it's a link to the film.

As it is, shazam stands al0ne fr0m the dceu that if it isn't c0nnectd to it at the end, then n0thing is lost. Same can't be said for suicide squad, bvs, jl., aquaman, ww cos they fall into a narrative. They affect each other. That's linking. One is a sequel to the other. @thekingishere

bros, u mistake easter eggs with links. Links has to do with the st0ry i.e aquaman t0ok place right after Jl. Shazam has no links as regards story or narrative wise. All there was were easter eggs and a superman without a face whom may be a cosplay paid to act as superman for freddy. Going by ur theory, then superman returns links with the dark knight tril0gy c0nsidering gotham was menti0ned by jimmy olsen. Link is when we knew suicide squad t0ok place after the death of supes, w0nder w0man c0ntinued the story fr0m bvs and aquaman right after jl. The story c0nnects. They didn't just show us a c0stume or just reference a character without menti0ning in c0ntext i.e shazam.

Same thing that happened with the recasting of Affleck as Batman. You can't be shouting reboot for DC because it recasted its character, sacked the director and tweaked some stuffs a bit but say MCU continued when they recasted their own character, sacked numerous directors and tweaked some things too.

Yes am Zack fan, and am his fan because I love movies that are dark and gritty, which fortunately for me he is one of those few directors out there. Even Kevin Feighi saw that in the Russo's brothers that's why he couldn't let them go after Winter Soldier.

Is not a crime to like your heroes deconstructed, which, any day anytime I will choose it 10x over the so-called fun, funny movies.

I don't remember last (aside Bumblebee) when any Transformer movie was certified fresh, yet they still keep the franchise going. They don't armtwist things by creating stupid multiverse by rebooting once a movie fail to meet their delusional expectation.
They still maintain momentum because there is no actual way or only one formula to make your franchise successful. That is what our WB is lacking! They see things from MCU stand points, yes, we can't say MCU invented or reinvented fun movies but they have come to realise that that formula works for them perfectly.

It's funny how many of you so much love Swamp Thing, but forgetting that it leans toward what Zack had given us..lol! I bet if it were to be a theatrical movie many of you praising it will spit on it - probably because the way must of you want everything to be MCU-like.

I hope most of you here give "The Boys" lower ratings even if its classic because of your taste for fun and popcorn-flick kinda movies you preferred.
