My take on the issue goes thus is very very simple and straightforward and it goes thus:
Muslims can make heaven, so can Christians. The gates of heaven are open wide to both groups.
Howbeit, it is written,

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation. Romans 10:8-10
The above is all i know that is guaranteed of making heaven. So, making heaven is not a function of bearing the title of a Christian or Muslim. If you do the needful above, you are good to go.

Kingsleyinfo: First thing you need to realise is that Christianity is not a religion, its a 'faith' (something you believe in), just because someone goes to church doesn't exactly make them a christian, so no one can become a Christian by association. Its a personal decision.

Secondly, as far as am concerned, its wrong in all its totality, I see no reason why you would want to mix water and oil and expect them to have the same viscosity..
Granted they are both liquid, but serve very different purposes.

No matter how similar Christianity and Islam might be in terms of morals, at the end of the day, certain issues will always arise, that might become cause for concern.

Please, no one should talk about religious tolerance here, I believe marriage should be between two people who have the same fundamental beliefs, which in this case is not.

Still under the 'faith' umbrella, I believe that both side of the divide see each other as unbelievers..... So why would I want to burden myself with such issues.

Its difficult enough marrying a fellow 'so called christian' I don't wanna imagine what it would be like getting married to a 'non christian'

You can't become a christian by association, I don't know about Islam, but I know too well that being a Christian is a personal decision that not even your parents can make for you..... So getting married to a Muslim, is already against the christian faith in the first place. So to answer your question properly, no Christian would marry a Muslim, if he or she does, then he or she was never a Christian in the first place, its as simple as that. So I see no reason why the Muslim lady should not continue with her fastings and prayers, because she is definitely not married to a christian. PERIOD. She has her beliefs and should be allowed to practise them.
