I stand to be corrected. Though there are a few indecent male lecturers in our universities in particular given that I don't want to discuss about other tertiary institutions in Nigeria where "anything" goes, the gospel truth is that hardly will a lecturer fail any female student who knows why she's in sch in terms of answering her questions objectively.

As someone who has being in the system for years, I can authoritatively state that some girls especially those who are always ready to do anything to passed are the ones that do seek the attention of the vulnerable male lecturers. Come to think of it, what do they expect to be awarded where such indecent lecturers opt to concede to their deals? To be awarded A and drag the lecturers reputation to mud when obviously such result will be an outlier when the student semester results are examined. My kin advise to lecturers is if you must play along, the grade shouldn't exceed Denmark, "".

I sympathise with you any way. However, why do you anticipate to attract a lectureship position in a university with BSc in a country where PhDs are unemployed? In addition, BSc is not qualified to lecture in a university. Some people happened to be employed because of their academic performance and who they know. Even at that, the min NUC requirement for such class of people is 2.1 and they are to proceed to MSc immediately.

Not just for doctoral degree holders but with at least a min of three years lecturing experience and publications on reputable local and international journals for the least position.

This is really serious if positions in academics could be advertised and there's no display of Lecturer 2, let alone AL. It's worrisome for fresh PhD holders without experience. The implication of such advert is that the university is bottom heavy which could have been driven by nepotism. Hence, needs high level academics for accreditation.

Why should medical students be protesting of a sch fee of about #100k when a junior registrar in practise earns about #300k monthly. At practice, a medical Dr who hardly knows his profession but raising unnecessary ego will be quick to tell people that medicine and other disciplines are not the same, hence, they deserve more wage. But as medical students, they want to pay the same with other students. Ui is a national patrimony that can't be bring down

concerning the fees; there might have been an increase considering the economic situation in Nigeria but it's should be around 250k+ for 2 semesters and it includes feeding, laundry among others. I don't really know about the female hostel but the boys hostel is mostly 4 in a room. The answer to the last question belongs to you because it is hinged on your ability, seriousness, determination, prospective course and desired grades. It is actually 10months for the 2 semesters, just like my oga said, but some don't spend up to such duration and they've achieved their goals. Although, they will doubt you and want to discourage you not to write the exam because they feel the duration is too short and they don't want you to waste your money. However, if you're determined and insistent, they'll ask you to write a letter of undertaken just like I was asked to. In short, you must be very prepared to face the battle if you're writing this May/june because anybody going for medicine needs at least 13points( though some schools don't take that e.g. Unilag). So it's no child's play but you won't regret writing the exam. Can someone bear me witness?

Well said! Having prepared students for Cambridge A level examinations in a number of years in one of the leading schools at Ibadan, one must be very ready for it. Over the years, all my students obtained A* (90 - 100) and A (80-89) with only about four students who ended up making B (4 point in a class of 70 - 79) in the subject both at AS and A2. A good number of my students graduated with First Class from the University of Ibadan and University of Warrick, UK.

NWC comprises of party executives whose functions is to see to day to day affairs of the party and its Secretariat. NEC comprises of party executives and big wigs in the party in the likes of President, Senate President, Senators, Governors, etc. They vote during crucial decision making in a political party since often times, they are the major financiers.

Ui system there's fairness. And 99% of academic staff have what it takes to be in the system.

The students in question should have known their strength before opting for the first and the best. It is very disheartening to see that some students in Ui including finalists and extra year students could hardly write something that justify being awarded 40 as passed mark. Sometimes you just look for where to award marks and you can hardly find.

It surprises my imagination why prospective students will opt for State universities as first choice. The cost implications to their parents and guardians is second to none. Nonetheless, the choice has been made. Firstly, congrats on your lofty performance if the effort was all yours because I am an apostle of it is more honourable to fail than to cheat.

Secondly, post UTME has come to stay. Hence, it is left for you to prove that the score is actually yours.

In addition, I will advised you to ascertain if ABSU adopts O Level grade alongside in deciding candidates chance of being admitted. For instance, with your O Level grade mostly C, if you had applied to the premier and first and the best University, popularly referred to as Ui, I would advised you to opt for a change in order for your effort not to be an exercise in futility.

Lastly, best of luck

Your claim is pathetic. However, I can authoritatively assure you that the fault is not attributed to Ui. It is one of the institutions in Nigeria that you don't need to know anybody to be given admission at any level; undergraduate or postgraduate. The fact that you claim to have obtained Distinction at ND level is not sufficient to be given admission at Ui. I wish you have also informed the general public your O Level grade and the Polytechnic you obtained Distinction.
