ethicallyright: Means nothing.
BVN, Name, mobile number, Account number are a kind of public information.
He needs safe pins of debit cards to withdraw any amount. Just another attention seeker.
If you fill an IPPIS (Salary) form for instance you'll be asked for your name, account number, date of birth, BVN(to ensure you've not provided another account somewhere). Those papers are discarded in trash cans after data are entered into a computer system.
YOU CAN PROVIDE ANY OF THOSE TO A LOAN APP, to sign up on remita, to withdraw money from a betnaija/nairabet/betway account . INFACT, when someone asks you to fill in those information, the person can make inquiries from your bank to ensure you didn't fill in fake details.
No one asks for debit card security code, not even the bank manager is aware of the code. You can only lose it unknowingly to a phishing attack. That's your only private information in the banking department. Nigerian banks are even more secure than American banks. That's the only thing someone can withdraw your money with. Really bro? I thought BVN can be used to cause someone to cry. Same with debit card inscribed numbers on the card. Do you know I have personally refused supplying BVN to Binance for identity verification to trade crypto, thereby, hindering my chances of making legit money daily. Same goes with another crpto trading site that requested the latter. Please, educate me more. We learn daily. |

ntyce: The idiot probably hacked into the BVN/phone number database. I'm 100% certain he can't hack into the core banking platform ie finnacle or flexcube. If one gain access to one's BVN, can't the person have access and withdrawal to the person's funds? I want to be enlightened |

Skynet45: The strike led more people to seek out illegal means to find money. It also delayed graduation, this guy is in 400l and should have graduated Stop typing rubbish in the public domain. How does ASUU strike correlate with students seeking illegal means to make money? Are there no legitimate way of making money both offline and online for any student who chooses to make money? He should have graduated indeed since he is in 400L. If I may ask you, all final year students must graduate in their possible year of graduation whether they Fail a course or not? And if it is a must that every final year student must graduate, how does that entails that ASUU must sacrifice its welfare for one Yahoo boy to graduate? Please, when next you are arguing in the public domain, be reasonable and logical. Argument like yours is a clear attestation that a lot of Nigerian graduates are unemployable. |

Education › Re: Help: My Family Wants Me To Study Law But I Don't Want To by Mires: 3:21pm On Aug 29, 2020 |
TimoWerner: Hey guys i need ya advice please.
My dad and my aunt wants me to study law because of some reasons best know to them. I am a Civil Servant in a State High Court reason why they want me to study law. I am tired, i don't have the passion non zeal for law.
Right from my sec school days i have always love and dream of being a Banker or an Economist but my family members want to "put sand" in my future
Please guys help me, i am in my early 20s and i don't wanna waste 4-6yrs studying what i don't have passion for.
Pls i need more audience. First, don't be allowed to push into a discipline that you don't have passion for. You might end up regretting. The fact that you have been working in the judiciary is not enough reason to be pushed into studying Law. Gone are the days people were meant to believe that Law pays. However, some individuals still create their niche in Law profession. Years ago, on the eve of graduation from the lions den, the then Dean Faculty of Engineering, UNN, Prof. Osadebe told us the graduands in our fellowship, that during his time, they were made to understand, that any discipline outside Medicine, Law, Engineering and Accountancy is rubbish. Having spent years practising and lecturing engineering in UNN, he discovered that the most widely traveled and richest academjc in UNN as at then did not study any of those courses. He is a Historian. A prof of History. Away from the above, if your quest to study Economics like most people thought is because you think it is about demand and supply, please, I will plead with you not to tow that path. But if you are determined, it is a very interesting discipline. It requires mathematics, further mathematics, statistics as well as analytical skills. Most of the applications will require you to at least perform first, partial and second order derivatives since we, economists are often times interested in the margin (slope). |

There's no doubt that the Governor might chose some people more especially in his ward and LGA but not the entire wards in the state. This reminds me of one Sunday service at then Rhema Chapel Agbowo, now Rhema Chapel Bodija, when a visiting pastor from Lagos in his sermon said one of the miracles heaven still renders to his faithful children is crediting their accounts from unknown source like it happened to him and he withdrew it and cleared his debts because he prayed to heaven that his debts must not accompanied him into the new year.
According to him, few hours to the glorious entry of a new year on the 31st of December the year it happened, heaven answered his call and he got a credit alert from GTB headquarter which is unusual. He went on, a lot of people have returned (transferred) such heavenly blessings to bank staff and owners because of their ignorance. According to him, immediately, he saw the credit alert, he notified his wife who is a banker and she advised him against withdrawing the money. That it could be mistake. He went, on, that he ignored the wife because she didn't understand the mystery surrounding heavenly blessings.. He entered his car and used ATM and withdraw part of the money and cleared his debt that night. Years after that action, no one or bank has called him that money was mistakenly sent into his account.

Irrespective of the fact that one cannot deduce exactly where the arrest is being planned but the arrogant manner they were discussing shows it is planned for a challenger and not a criminal.
Both of them were buoyed with the power they have acquired. This arrogance is a trade mark of an average black man in power it does not matter the party he belongs.
Nigeria really have a long way to go. Please share the video with me |

Family › Re: My Boyfriend Is On The Verge Of Leaving Me. Help! by Mires: 3:30pm On Aug 17, 2020 |
Heartheart: Hi I just needed to bring this here. I am 22 years of age and I am not happy at all. My boy friend and I are in a long distance relationship. Not long perse. He is in lagos while I'm in abeokuta. I served in lagos so that's how we met and we got to spend quality time together.
Now since I've passed out I've been at home. I passed out in June. So it's been June that we saw last and now we're in august. He has been disturbing me to come visit him as it has not been easy staying alone, loneliness and all. I promised to visit him next week which also happened to be my birthday week. I have super strict parents but I still promised I will find my way.
I told them (parents) that I was travelling to visit a friend (girl). I could not tell them it was my boyfriend I was going to see because I knew deep down they wouldn't allow me travel to another city to see a guy. But my parents have blatantly refused that I cannot visit this girl. I had to tell my bf that I was not going to come. He was so sad and angry and he let me know he has wasted a lot of money preparing to surprise me for my birthday. He was so excited to see me and he had made a lot of plans. He told me he was disappointed in me and he doesn't think he can continue a relationship like this. Yes he comes to abeokuta sometimes but he mostly lodges in the hotel. He told me he can't continue lodging in the hotel that if I love him I will make effort. I tried to convince my parents they did not gree. Imagine, I told them I wanted to see a gf that they knew and they refused. What if I had told them he was a guy.
Pls guys how do u advise me to save my relationship, I'm in a tight spot right now and really sad. That guy you claim loves you is only interested in what lies in between your legs. Get pregnant tomorrow for him, the story will change. You should be thanking your parents daily for ensuring that at 21, you are a graduate and have served this useless country. |

Mizflo: Thanks for the advice. I have lost faith in Jesus because if he was there I wouldn’t have been suffering like this . I don’t want to look for him because he has never care about me and I don’t want to know him I will quote you for the second time. Your sense of judgement is so awkward and goes a lot to speak what is happening in your family. Jesus is the only way in addition to my first advise where I mentioned you earlier and gave you detailed steps on how you can turn around your situation. Someone advised you when you spit this, that Job, Joseph, Sarah, Hannah, etc passed through a lot. Yet, with Jesus Christ, they all came out strong. I am one of them,. For the past four years, it has been battle. You won't understand. Friends have deserted me. Family members have all ran away. But one thing is certain. Jesus is still with me. I live in a comfortable abode without any form of illegitimate financial dealings all my life. Eating good meal daily despite that I have not work for the past four years. Above all, I have not begged anyone N1 or come to nairaland to say please help me with N1. I have not gone to any church to begged N1. Neither have I reached out to any pastor or prophet to give me N1 since I have a greater pastor and prophet in Christ Jesus. At least, I can still live comfortably for the next fifteen years. It is all about Jesus Christ. Neighbours are asking where does he get money from? Whenever I overheard it, I tell them, Jesus is the source. He promised me i will never begged all the days of my life. Like someone advised you here when you spit what angered my spirit man, mind your utterances against the holy spirit. Blasphemy against the holy spirit can not be forgiven. Shalom. If you like, take my counsel. A word is enough for the wise. |
