The pastor is rightly wrong, he should have studied the scripture very well before finalising, this also applicable to all Christians, most especially those that always depend on what there pastors has to say, but not on what God says.

In the beginning God created heaven (not even heavens in that verse 1 he quoted). You can't just read a verse in the Bible without checking both the preceded and the succeeded verses or makes more findings before drawing your verdict, that's wrong!

The former heaven according to what Genesis says, implies: the atmosphere, gallaries, planets and any other related. Don't forget there's firmament which can be called the "sky" Gen.2.1 - Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
that shows that we have many heavens, but there's a heaven where God lives, and that heaven is where Jesus was referring to. Now let's see what the Bible says

Though we heard about those who came from heaven in the book of Genesis, can they be related to inhabitants of another planet or in other words, is heaven another planet?

There is a hope of better Nigeria if everyone can be faithful at their posts, particularly the governments and the militaries. If they reorient both the livers and the biles inside of them and come about fixing the money looters and corruption inclined whosoever, the country will move forward. Don't be religious,
Did the church you're attending gives you constant envelope or pulse you put your tithe that can make them know the actual amount you earn, or do they record tithes in your church? If this religious habit is being practiced in your church, then you need to grow beyond them. If you drop your tithe unanonimously, nobody will know the exact amount you're sowing..,

Another thing is that; to what you wrote here, I'm not judging you oo, but I can sense that your motive is not right, hope you're not thinking the money you're paying as tithe is too much for a church (your church) or you're thinking that where you're sowing your tithe is a dry land. Try and check your motive behind what you sow in the house of God, follow the Biblical laid down principles that guides giving

What I can just say is that the deed as been done already. What all Nigerians needs to be doing everyday now is praying for Nigeria.

Nigeria would have or will become a better place if we can just set aside our hope on the governments and set our faces on God to repair Nigeria.

Men will always disappoint us, they can't satisfy us. So instead of critics up and down; prayer will eventually do something.
