Christianity Etc › Re: Homosexuals Should Be Allowed In Christendom But Not Homosexuality by MirrorofChrist: 10:50pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
immaculatesense: I respect your compassion and you love, but we can't be more compassionate than our Savior and Lord. Remember even Jesus said he had kept all his disciples except the son of perdition (Judas). The power of salvation is not in the church, the power of salvation is in Christ. The duty of the church is not only to add more sheep to the flock but as we add sheep to the flock we must beware of wolves in sheep's clothing who sneak in unaware to influence and devour the sheep. My statement was clear and I don't think you disagree with dat. If a homosexual comes to church with the knowledge that he is a helpless sinner who needs the saviors help to be delivered from such sin, he should be welcomed, helped and treated with love by the church, that is the church's responsibility to help save sinners from the pit of hell into the kingdom of our Lord and his christ. The same goes for all other addictions. But if the homosexual comes with a different mindset which can pollute the church, it is the duty of the church to excommunicate and deter such person from the congregation. This is also the duty of the church to help protect the sheep from getting devour by wolves in sheep's clothing. We shouldn't focus on a duty and neglect the other, that has done more damage than good to the body of Christ over the years. It is interesting if you to thing about such people who had been saved by welcoming them into the church, but don't also forget to look at the millions of people who had been corrupted by such lifestyle because the church welcomed them into the church. In a bid of winning souls, we shouldn't also be losing souls. When you compare the number of those of them saved to those who had been corrupted to join them, you will know that the church is at a very big disadvantage. Read the verses I quoted earlier in my first mention critically. Thanks. Well said, I just want to add to your comment here. We understand the fact that Jesus had to come to die for sinners due to His compassion; but we're not in the best position to risk the lives of everyone in the church. This was the same thing that made God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. But if to say, someone will say it's in the old testament. Whereas the Bible made us to know that our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Does that mean that what God said NO (frankly disapproved) to, He's now saying YES to it now? God destroyed a whole nation, don't forget that the sin (homosexuality) started from someone, somewhere in Sodom. ROM. 1 vs 1 to the end reiterates on it, just for more understanding on it. And I will enjoin you to stop pushing it further, because it's not valid and also unapproved of God, so that you won't be an example of whom the latter part of the ROM. 1 is referring to (This is for the original poster)! |

Franzinni: I know a guy who was electrical engineering in one university in the north some 17 years back , Steven was his name... He had no family to speak off, he had a gaunt look about him like he will fit perfectly as a member of the Adams family... Anyway, one day we got talking and then he started going through his survival mechanism and how he was able to fund his education... He told me he built a shrine in the bush along Lagos Ibadan express and started posing as a witch doctor ... Lo and behold he began to tell me how people patronize him for money rituals and how he uses the soap washing technique, where he shows them a bowl of black soap rolled into balls and then he soaks one which he has already put money inside and then recite some incantations and viola he pulls out the money from the blackened water ... Then gives the victim the bowl of black soap and also heaps alot of dos and don't to the point that he will be sure that the victim will forget a couple .. and then they go home and wash all the soap and nothing comes out, they come back and he asks them if they did everything he ordered and once they agree to missing one, then he will tell them they need a cleansing ritual or they will die ... Then he bills them for the second round haha ... But strangely he told me how barren women would come to him and he would tell them that they are healed and like a miracle, they will return to give thanks pregnant .... He told me many other things but let me stop here ... Yeah before I go.. you won't believe this guy is always reading his bible on campus and quoting bible verses on a spiricoco cruise. 🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️ |

Everything about you will change, in fact you will need some times to get over it But if this dream come to pass: please behave yourself and be humble No. 1 is still decent But you see; 5,6,7,8&9 No. 5 is like a spoilt brat, who lack manners No. 6 is like as if the person sick No. 7 is like as if that person drunk or sniffed something beyond him No. 8 is like a miscreant who is ready to have unruly discussion with his boss No.9 is like a someone who has committed a suicide or about to |
Christianity Etc › Re: Will A Sinner Who Pays Tithe Make Heaven? by MirrorofChrist: 6:26pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
Yea, God is not bribed, God didn't know you let alone your tithe God can behold you with your sin. Unless if such leave this world without a sin. But dying a sinner can't see God. Then such would have gone to another place outside heaven. Our offerings worth nothing without obedience to His word. And partial obedience is a total disobedience to Him. Mayeldah: Even if you are righteous, paying tithe is not a ticket to heaven
What indices do you or your pastor have to show that tithe payers are doing better than those who don't?
Give to God out of free will but don't let anyone decide what percentage you should pay, we are not under the Law! ednut1: You wan bribe God |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Does It Mean To Know God? John 17.3 by MirrorofChrist: 6:13pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
Once you get to know that God exists, and you want to know Him, then you'll make findings..
Everything in this life that require knowing more, required time to make enquiries and investigation on such a subject. Matt.5:6&8... The more information you get the more your knowledge of Him, when you apply those information to your life, then you're in a boost to know Him sooner.
For example; If I tell you that God is a Spirit, that you must become a spirit before you can know Him.., then your journey continues on how you can become a spirit to know Him.
Or If I tell you that it's by hearing and doing His word. Then the questions are where is His word, where can I hear His word, will He speak to me one on one, etc?
If I tell you that you can know Him from your mind, and you asked why didn't you know him since?
The truth is that there are ways of which we can know God, forasmuch you acknowledge His existence, your readiness and yearnings to know Him, brings Him to you sooner, but there are ways that can be suggested or recommended as WORK for your FAITH to work.
E.g Listen to His word from His Ministers Get the copy of what is written about Him and study (Bible) Praying to God that your mind is convinced exist.
Knowing God is a course. When you're in school and wanting to know a course, it requires you getting the introduction from the lecturer, and thereafter getting the course material. So the same thing is applicable. Use Cornelius as a case study in Act.10
And don't forget how Paul knew God. There are so many ways. His wisdom and mightiness is past finding out |

The virtue of a good woman is not limited to submissiveness, yet it's all about it, because it gives birth to others in Proverb. 31:10-31. Family › Re: Between Owning A Car Or House Which Would You Advise Someone In His 20's? by MirrorofChrist: 9:23pm On Oct 18, 2023 |
The both are liabilities;
You need to be financially independent before you think about getting any or both of it. Look at it, you're still contemplating which to be done first. What if you buy car and you think the money will be consistent and doesn't, how will you fuel or maintain it. So instead of regretting why you go for any of these at this time, look for an investment you can do that can make you more a humble millionaire till when you know you're financially buoyant.
I can't deceive you, none is an option at this point (not that you're small, but the money only appeared big to you).
Note that; when you haven't gotten any of this you're Hale and hearty, then invest with your money. You can't judge tomorrow by today (bóòní rí, ọ̀la ò rí bẹ́ẹ̀)
