It's surprising that visit visa takes relatively a couple of months to process, given peoples' accounts i read so far on this platform. More surprising for me because I know of someone who applied for study visa and got approved within a couple of weeks last year.

You would need to sign up with the actual email address (the one SHL contacted you with). SHL and PwC linked your profile to the said mail.

One thing you should understand is that in government agencies, there are lots of bureaucracy involved. They cannot give you a timeline because timeline can change. Soon is a relative word, it can be next year August and it can also be tomorrow or next week.

If GMD had said by Dec 2nd the list will be out and it turns out the next was not released on the 2nd, it is still these same people that will start calling him a liar like someone is already calling him a fraud.

Meanwhile, you can do well to show me any organization that make unambiguous statement on when to resume instead of the general “We will get back to you” mantra.

And the serious employers would get back as they promised in due time. If he comes out to give a date and circumstances make it change, transparency requires he gives reasons for the change and accountability requires he communicate the new date. If he doesn't do any of this, people have the moral right to question him! This is how sane countries strive- nothing is magical- all checks and balances!!!

I don't knw what the current oga is doing but It's crystal clear that there has been a deviation from what the former oga had planned. I read the true intent of transparency and accountability from his response on delayed process even when he's not the oga anymore. That's what transparency requires.

One day, you will get to a managerial position, then you will understand its better to take your time before taking final decisions on issues.

Baba, it seems there's a miscommunication between us. I never said due process shouldn't be followed; I only supported transparency. This ensures that people are carried along.

They have a milestone, no doubt. Correctness and timeliness are somewhat mutually exclusive, I'm aware. But carry people along! Tell them what stage you're. When should they expect the call up. Communicate the time limit- make it unambiguous and not some 'soon' comment.

I can assure you that you can pass through 4 stages in 4-5 days including their video interview and then boom you won’t hear anything from them again in months. Infact it is when they start see them advertise another vacancy you will know you haven’t heard from them the last time you applied.

Organization recruitment differs from company to company, while some organizations does their recruitment with the speed of light depending on the vacany and the volume of applicants involved. Shortlisting for CBT and Interview is the easiest part of a recruitment process, picking the successful candidates is were the real work is.

There’s a reason why those giving us info on this thread has gone silent, even Jarus had to keep quiet also. It’s more or less about our conduct here. Seeing as how guys on this thread are unstable emotionally, I’m not surprised.

Dont even mention Standard Chartered Bank abeg...that one na company?? They bring up vacancies to fulfil their CSR. Is that what it does in other countries it operates?? The other one was saying some of us have not had enough recruitment experience. While this isn't an achievement, I want to point out that this is a faceless forum and as such, make I keep quiet.

Things needed to be done rightly and people needed to be carried along- accountability and transparency. People have the right to request info from officials that they entrusted their resources with. This is an important part of transparency and accountability- holding your officials accountable.

How many organization that recruit over a thousand personnel at a go have you seen? Even banks and the likes that recruits in 100s take several months but you want to compare them to a government agency recruiting in 1000s. The process will take him.

I’m not stopping anyone from voicing out in whichever way they want too. All I’m advocating for is they personalize their concerns. They should use ‘I’ in place of ‘we’. At least I didn’t authorize anyone to talk on my behalf.

I'm sure if this was a Shell, Exxon even NLNG-that took almost 2 years, nobody ll be clamouring for protests. I wonder why it has to be different with NNPC. And to think NNPC isn't even top tier Oil and Gas company in terms of remuneration.

APL isn't far off. I already dropped next month starting from next week. The letters are being prepared and has to align with vacant positions prior to posting esp for EH. All things being equal december is sacrosanct.

That economist didn't hold 'all things' (including indicators in the situation he was examining constant) he held 'all other things' (not to include examined indicators) ..please take note.

Was it in their contract that NNPC is mandated to make them full staff? If it's part of their contract, then NNPC has got to do the needful according to law.

But if it is not, wouldn't it be wisdom for these few to be silent and stay in what binds them together with NNPC. Abi, una think say contract staff in this country are scarce. This attitude, well by a few contract staff in nairaland is appalling and unprofessional. Contracts of employment in the Nigerian context have big big conditional statements like "upon stastifactory performance and need"...while contract staff strive to meet the former, their slave masters shoot them in the head with the latter.. Bro, I can definitely tell you your claim is as wrong as one can imagine. Yes, I've not been paid. But my brother, am more than 75% certain of receiving APL when it finally drops. Not boasting here but to let you know that when some people don't comment here it's not because they don't know how to do so but will rather keep silent on what they know concerning this recruitment untill NNPC finally decides to send APL alerts.

How do you explain that NNPC would conclude the scoring of a selected people and a particular date and leave out others on that same date while they move on to another date?

I really do not know if the payment is by date but if it is. My own hunch thinks everyone on a particular date has been scored and put into the divide he or she belongs

Given that ppl testified to receiving payment on 16th of July (barely a week after last batch of interview sessions), it comes to mind to wonder if it was that easy to select from a large pool of candidates in such a span.

It is most likely that everybody will be paid regardless of the success/failure outcomes.

No correlation whatsoever between TP and APL, logically.
