Most letters you see in the new testament are just a little fraction of available write ups then.
The first criteria for choosing the books is if they have a sound moral guidance and christian theological foundation.

The book of timothy, being a more late add up to the bible canon was not written by paul but an unknown author who ascribes this letter to paul.
It was added to the bible because of its fundamental christian theological approach and is referred to as pastoral letters in the sense that is poses a guidance to the pastoral authority of the church.

that verse 1 timoth 2:5-6 can be theologically explained to mean that the man Jesus is referred to the Man nature of Jesus. You do know quite well that the catholic doctrine teaches Jesus have two distinct natures God and man so the verse wasn't contradictory.

I read both the First and Second Timothy and I will say I'm disappointed in you, but it is written : For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to
sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own
desires and will look for teachers who will tell them

I grew up with the belief that Jesus Christ came to this world to die for our sins, and it has been believed as such. Now I'm not doubting that he didn't die for our sins, In the spirit of Easter I'm just trying to figure out the logical explanation behind this.
So if the Pope (as we know him to be a holy man) wakes up one morning and says he wants to die for our sins how does that guaranty our salvation?
My initial reasoning was that well, if Jesus dies, God might be sober and this will make him easily forgive our sins when we offend him. But then again how can he be sober when the plan was orchestrated by him.
Jesus died knowing that he would go to heaven, even God himself knew his son would die so I'm just trying to figure out where the salvation came from.
Anyone with answers should please drop in.

Jesus died for our sins and we are saved by His grace. E.g. 1000 robbers are to be executed and a man comes out to die for them, isn't it right to say he died their sins and died a thousand deaths? What if 100 refuse to accept he was being killed for their sake? Aren't they to be lined up and executed accordingly?
