You could also parboil it, wash and change the water several times.
One is light years ahead of the other when it comes to talent!!!
How do you measure talent?

All things are not equal therefore the comparison of talent is colored  hence the talk of JR being more talented is hogwash.

Like I earlier said, people are taking fame to mean talent in this case. The only true measurement of both talents remains giving both actresses an opportunity to feature in the same movie or play the same character in a movie. Since that hasn't happened, I wonder what other criteria y'all used to reach this conclusion, if not fame.

The only secret I know is - Wash it thoroughly. Yes, Ikaun helps too.

Just wondering, what's bitter-leaf soup without the slightly bitter taste.
Do we really have to insult julia roberts now. No one complained when jim iyke or somebody was called nollywood`s james bond.
Tpia, this shouldn't be seen as an insult to anyone unless there's already a vain feeling of superiority over another on the part of one the actresses or an awful feeling of inferiority on the part of self-made judges like you and me.
This is a simple act of appreciating one's own. The poster's message implies 'if Genevieve can be compared to Julia Roberts, Julia Roberts can also be compared to Genevieve, for Genevieve is just as good as Julia Roberts''.  cool Julia Roberts is a star in her world and, so is Gene, in hers. As famous and 'influential' as Julia Roberts is, some people would choose Gene over her. I, for example.

I don't know why people are making exorbitant noise over the poster's message.
Tell me your jokinghuh?

Comparing Gene to Julia Robert is like Comparing a Skate board to a Formula 1 racing car,  This is a woman that has gone from acting in Romance to Adventure, Comedy to Thriller,  Gene acts the same way whether its Romance or adventure
I really do not have  time to engage everyone. Make it easier by giving reasons as to why you think so.
Oprah made a mistake doing so? Should Genevieve be compared WITH, and not TO, Julia Roberts? Both of them shouldn't even be objects of comparison?

Genevieve has stuck to playing the role of a lover girl only?  huh

Dolemite:
Julia Roberts is a farrrrr more talented actress, Oprah was comparing them on popularity alone, not talent.
I refuse to consider this true. Julia Roberts is more famous and opportuned. I could only rate their talent if they worked in the same industry. Gene is a very talented actress.
What role has Gene played badly that Roberts played perfectly?  huh

@ OP
I'm with you on this.

MyTake:
@Missy B. Thank you my sister- finally some1 reasons with me. I'd stated earlier that i dont mind moderate make up- In fact I buy my wife make up stuff sometime so its not like i dont apreciate any make up at all but I dont like red lipstick, green eye shadows, your know all the very loud stuff all at once.
I understand and I repeat, unless one just wants to be unnecessarily stubborn, it shouldn't be difficult dropping these habits. Seriously.

MyTake:
What I dont seem to get is if these replies suggest I should just shut up?? If I cant tell my wife what I like and what I dont then who should?
Na wao!
I can see you're quite new on NL, and I'd say do not take every 'person' and comment seriously. . . .You'd be surprised at the kinda comments people make.  grin On this board [Romance] especially, most people type before they think  cool

MyTake:
FYI - the gum chewing sound is kinda strange to me- she's always chewed gum but that irritating noise started lately (or maybe i only noticed lately)
It's annoying, I know. I sat close to a dude sometime and he continuously made 'this' sound while chewing gum, I felt like 'killing' him. Worst thing is, the dude ignored the bad look I gave him constantly, and kept chewing the gum. Had he been someone I know, I swear down, I woulda given him a hard knock.  grin It's not cool, I know.

@ Missy, ok i can at least speak for myself. my hubby complains i wear heavy makeup when in the real sense, all i use is just foundation, powder, eyepencil and eyeshadow i dont even use lipstickand i do it moderately yet he complains. some men just like to whip up sentiments undecided undecided
I know some men can whine even when there isn't a reason to, that's why I said
I want to believe by heavy makeup, the poster meant heavy makeup - excess this and that.
Assuming she actually wears heavy makeup, what would it cost her to reduce the application/quantity? If anything, it's even for her benefit - She would probably look better, her husband stops complaining [ -1 problem], and everyone is happy in this regard.

Come to think of it, you really didn't wear heavy makeup on your wedding day- Judging from your profile pic.  grin grin grin
Iyastrustee is married?  shocked

The chewing of gum and making funny sounds loudly isn't cool, neither is it, to go with with someone that looks like a poorly painted puppet.

I want to believe by heavy makeup, the poster meant heavy makeup - excess this and that.

Keep both, and play them against each other. Win win for everyone.
1. You win because I'm sure you are not looking for a serious relationship from these guys anyways.
And please don't play bedroom arobatics with either one. lipsrsealed
I'd say it's a win for both and a loss for her. If she didn't want a serious relationship, she would be okay with meeting Frank at the hotel, hump and bye.

Odunnu:
Poster, it wont be very long before CM dumps you. you really do appear cheap!
I second every word of this comment.

Poster, how old are you, seriously?  undecided

So when women folks say some degrading things about young men, Can we refer them to their fathers?

E.g For everytime women say or insinuate that blackmen are lazy, irresponsible, jailbirds, smal dicked, dropouts etc Are we allowed to redirect you to an image of your dad?
It’s a matter of choice. You wouldn’t be wrong or discourteous to do so, should you choose to.
I, for one, most likely wouldn't take it out on his mother, should a certain he speak badly of black women, even though simple logic points to the direction that he is also, perhaps unknowingly, referring to his mum.
I mean, it’s simple  . . .
Black men have triangular head
My father is a black man
My father has a triangular head.
This is what Mrs chima explained wonderfully in a very beautiful manner.

I can't stop rereading the comment. Queeneve, dalu.  cool
Let me break this down further for you so that you can see the "bigger picture". I am going to put this in a social experiment perspective. We have a sample of black women and one of them is your mother. I want you to remove those black women out of the equation and leave your black mother on the podium. I am going to add a list of variables and I want you to tell me what do you think your black mother will say or feel after the social experiment.

You sit there in front of your black mother and tell her that she is worthless, her hair is nappy and unmanageable, baby factory, uneducated, white women can suck dicks better, treat me like a King although I can't afford to wear the crown, allow me to cheat without talking back, and she is white therefore she is beautiful than you will ever be black mother.

Now how do you think your mother will react? Black women and your mother are cut from the same fabric. Please copy and paste this question to your screen saver and remember it to your grave. "How would my black mother react?"
For the length of time Mrs Chima has been on NL, this is her only post [ I can remember] that makes not just absolute sense, but is neatly put. Void of swear words and childish tantrum . . . . Clear and concise.  cool
