Politics / Re: Grid Collapse Triggers Nationwide Blackout by MisterKings(m): 9:02am On Nov 30, 2020
adonainana:
Sometimes I don’t how Nigerian leaders govern Nigeria. What is so hard about generating electricity

Like what can possibly be so hard about building and generating electricity in 2020

Same
Year where some are already thinking of going to Mars for vacation and coming back and using electricity there of course

If I was Nigerian president for a month, all you have to do is send a team to counties who have built a POWER PLANT ( GAS, TURBINE )

There are many countries on this planet that have numerous power plants who have been generating electricity for more than 200 years

Send a team to them , tell them you want to build a power plant

Send 10 teams to 10 different countries, give them a blank cheque on the condition that is is completed by each team before a due date

Problem solved within 10 months you can have 10 power plants built by 10 different counties or teams

Infact they can all put thier flag there self who cares, connect all the 10 new built power stations at once to the national grid, of it
Overloads so be it

Surely this would solve Nigerian 60
Years old problem within 6 months

Why is it so difficult for the so called and powerful and probably the richest country in Africa to build and generate its own electricity
Like forget bad roads, bad schools, I’ll quiped hospitals, those ones would take so much effort to fix

Power supply is that one I think can even be fixed in 4 weeks more less 6 months

Why waste time and so much resources not being able to satisfy the demand for power within the country like its such a basic and easy thing to do.

Like it’s so obvious what to do

Do you know the amount of money they are making from citizens who buy generator and fuel every single day?
Someone is enjoying in our predicament. So these cabals will never let good things happen.
Abeg we need to divide this country and go our separate ways abeg, enough is enough

Although I am an avid supporter of President Buhari cos of his many stellar achievements, honesty and integrity, it's things like this(his softness) that's making me not very happy with him. Why sit and watch wicked elements and fake news purveyors run this country aground? What's stopping him from declaring war on enemies of Nigeria and fake news merchants?

President Buhari is TOO SOFT for my liking.. If he were Obasanjo or Yaradua or Goodluck Jonathan, would criminal elements like Sowore, Aisha Yesufu and their cohorts dare attempt one quarter of the nonsense that he (President Mohammadu Buhari) has tolerated from them?

This is sad.. President Buhari should do something to nip this nonsense in the bud as quickly as possible before it gets out of hand!

And by the way, what happened to the Social Media regulation bill? Seriously, I am not happy with the way things are going.. I just hope Nigeria survive the wrath of these fake news vicars before PMB comes up with a decisive solution.

May God help Nigeria.

I wanted to fire you but then I just know you wont go unpunished by the numerous Nairalanders who will definitely quote you and finish ur career. So I will just check through their response to your stupidity and just keep liking and sharing

The protesters at Lekki are full of Igbo & IPOB members. They should have gone to South East for the protest where Abaribe, Ekweremadu,Kalu & co are squeezing them dry.

Is this one mad? So because Dj switch is ibo then it means most protesters were ibo. Its like you have ogi in your brain. Coming here to start a tribal war. Idiot

We are alone in this world. Neither christian God or muslim Allah are doing a great job

If thunder does not strike evil men who kill in his name or men who rob congregation with tithe and offerings in his name.

But yet allow peaceful protesters and good people die for doing the right thing.

That's not the answer the OP needs.
It's your type that usually travels with "common sense" as their only skill and then engage in crimes abroad, thinking they're smart, and soiling the country's image.
What's the "smartness" in robbing and scamming/duping people?
If you don't have any skills, please, do not dream of travelling, because the Nigeria has already had enough bad image from idiots like you.

Thank God many more people are now recognizing that skill acquisition is a necessity for travelling.

Lol I am sure he was only trying to be funny. But his answer was ignored anyway as it is not helpful

Those are super talents.... yes you could probably need a certificate if your profession is regulated but a professional body. What I mean is if you didn't get your certificate from an institution, its advisable you register with a professional body.

The events sector has been killed by Covid restrictions ..people are no longer throwing parties/weddings like before ..

If you can learn handy skills like plumbing, gas boiler service/repair, flooring installation like carpet, tiles, luxury vinyl, laminate. . One can make some nice cash on the side doing these alongside your main profession.

Even if you learn IT skills in Nigeria, you will still need to obtain training and certification in whatever country you're going to before you can get a job there.

Do you live abroad?

You no mention my category also do I need a certificate to show them I sabi am?

Then you will be alright.

UI/UX I am acquainted with that term but I don't even know where to start or what it does. I am a bit interested in software development but my mind has been sunk in filmmaking that I feel e go too much for my brain

Hello guys, a good morning to you all. This is a question for Nigerians in Diaspora. Just want to know
What skills should a Nigerian acquire before traveling to Europe or America.

I would like to know if it's something one can acquire here or needs to come over there first. We have heard of how some of our people go over there to wash dishes or even dead body (not sure how true that is).

So I just want to know what jobs are best for people coming to Europe like the UK or America like US and Canada from Nigeria.

I have heard some say one should get skills in IT, others say learn to make hair, others say Nursing etc. Thank you.
