babadee1: I don't believe one iota of your statement. No Yoruba person in Ilorin told you any such nonsense. And even if they did, well in every tribe there are always a few sellouts. That Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh came out to categorically deny being Igbo doesn't in any way mean that he automatically ceases from being one. Baba u no need to dey 4llow dt guy argue....na why I no bother to dey quote am be dt. I'm also 4rm Kwara n a yoruba boy too. So you don't argue wit people like that jare. |

dare2differ: You are welcome
However it hasn't changed my opinion. You and I know that your leaders do not care about loyalty to Oodua. I have met a few Yorubas from Ilorin, who claim to be Yoruba yet would tell you why you cannot really call them Yorubas. Some of them even told me that they belong to the NC if anything should happen (that would be your leaders stance if we break up today), some of them couldn't wait to tell me the number of Fulanis and Hausas in their families, some of them have told me how other Yorubas are different, some of them told me how they prefer to marry a non-Yoruba girl, some tld me that the traditional Ilorin outfit looks nothing like our Yoruba traditional wears....I am sorry but a true son or daughter of Oodua will never hold such opinions.
I understand you might not feel the same way but as along as your leaders themselves are not willing to fully associate themselves with other Yorubas, what you feel holds no weight. Arewa forum (I suppose) have once held that you belong to them. There is so much going on with you guys. I know there would be those of you who are Yorubas in thoughts, culture etc but I don't see you anywhere. It is no big deal to be part of NC. I am cool with it but I wouldn't want us to be dragged into your issues anytime you feel like it.
You are still Yoruba however in the interest of politics and the general interest of other Yorubas, you are not Yoruba.
Ermmmm....Alaafin still owns your lands though
Babadee1, shey you grab now Kk |

booqee: Nairalanders of these days mehnn
just one simple polite correction devoid of insult...and you all came for his throat without been objective.. except for one person, the rest of her butt lickers didn't even stay on the subject and argue rationally.. (I had to go back and read the guys post again to be sure it wasn't somehow laced with insult).
Even the corrector can be wrong... but how do one take you seriously when you fail to prove sensibly how wrong he is?
even kids don't behave in this manner.. Seriously I never meant any insult whatsoever, was just correcting her politely I swear never knew she's one of those "so called knight" well not everybody is ready to learn anyway. Thanks again Bukola |

booqee: mama I'm more interested in what you mean by 'constructive criticism'.. I'm eager to know what nots constructive in my post..maybe I might learn a thing or two from you tonight...(for real).
You seem to have an habit of using words without knowing what they really mean simply because everybody is saying it.. lol Seriously u don't need to be trading words with her. A lady/ girl of such shouldn't be taken seriously. Just leave her n her "PIECES" |

Creamish: Babe... If we were in an English class, I'll take every single word I type seriously.
Seeing that we're not, and we tend to mix proper grammar with slangs ..I don't see how Mimzy's post is such a big deal. One of her lecturers made an error in his bid to correct her and prove superiority ...which erm kinda makes him look stupid if u ask me...
On NL...typos happen, auto correct changes some things. Stay focused on the topic and pass ur message.
It can't be that hard now can it? I corrected her politely without anything attached, dunno why she took it personally. A guy corrected me sometimes ago too and I was so happy and really thanked the guy. |

TheSonOfMark: Semantics! Pray tell, mademoiselle, isn't "piece" alluding to a single quantity? The omission of the article "a" in no way subtract from the intended message. Maybe Misternas89 is being petty.
Misternas89, if you're as old as you claim, shouldn't you be in one of the abounding old people's home, reclining on a creaky sofa and telling war stories to some bored intern nurses while chewing tobacco instead of boring us with your retro-imagery? Kk bro. Good night |

booqee: you just munched a page without learning from it. You said she should be found 'in piece'. That could mean anything, it could be half or whole. BTW it even sounds more like a bad prayer when you don't specify what kinda piece u mean.. cos that what I thought. If your gonna say that next time, you say she should be found 'in one piece' like you googled up from what I see in the pic. But that's not what you wrote earlier except you wanna go modify your post silently.. God bless you Bukola, munching an American English 4 us is what I don't seemed to understand. The statement I made is not an idiom hence there is no specific way it can be used. A child is missing, you're busy looking for who and who committed grammatical blunder... Oh pls...
