Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren is the best defender in the Premier League, despite coming 12th across Europe, according to a study by the CIES Football Observatory. The study looks at six complementary areas of the game: shooting; chance creation; take on; distribution; recovery and rigour. Players are ranked according to five positions and only footballers who played at least 60 percent of domestic league minutes are included in the rankings. Unsurprisingly, in the Forwards category, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo come first and second, with Luis Suarez close behind. Meanwhile, in Attacking Midfield, Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez tops the chart ahead of Chelsea star Eden Hazard. Although Chelsea do get one player top, in Defensive Midfield, with the inclusion of Cesc Fabregas above PSG’sMarco Verratti. Barcelona dominate the Full-Back category with Dani Alves and Jordi Albathe top two and Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia coming in fifth, but the Centre-Back category sees Thiago Silva from PSG top the chart ahead ofJerome Boateng of Bayern and Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano. However, it is the appearance of Lovren that is most interesting as he comes in 12th across Europe, but is above the likes of Vincent Kompany, Per Mertesacker and John Terry to stand as the top rated centre-back in the Premier League. http://native9ja.com/dejan-lovren-best-centre-back-in-premier-league-says-cies-study/

Chelsea have signed Brazilian midfielder Nathan from Atletico Paranaense for an undisclosed fee. The 19-year-old will move to Stamford Bridge on 1 July after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms. “I’m very happy to be joining Chelsea, the champions of England, and I hope I will learn a lot and develop my game,” Nathan told Chelsea’s website. The teenager, whose full name is Nathan Allan de Souzahas, represented Brazil at Under-17 and Under-20 level. A Chelsea statement says the teenager has “earned a reputation as an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal and impressive pace”. Nathan bolsters the ranks of Brazilians at Chelsea, joining Ramires, Willian, Oscar and Filipe Luis. The Blues also have young Brazilians Wallace and Lucas Piazon out on loan. Nathan scored five goals in five games at the Under-17 World Cup in 2013, before being named in the team of the tournament. http://native9ja.com/nathan-chelsea-sign-brazilian-midfielder-for-undisclosed-fee/

Cristiano Ronaldo will quit Real Madrid this summer and will be joined in departing the Bernabeu by Iker Casillas. That’s the “certain” view of former Los Blancos goalkeeper Agustin Rodriguez who served the club for a decade up until 1990. He told Radio Marca: “I think Iker Casillas is going to go, genuinely. And Cristiano, too. I’m certain on that.” Real Madrid are in action tonight against Juventus, after which Rodriguez appears to believe some news will emerge. The reigning Champions League holders must overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit if they are to join Barcelona in next month’s Berlin final http://native9ja.com/cristiano-ronaldo-iker-casillas-will-quit-real-madrid-this-summer/

The next question is, why isn’t he getting the ball as often? That is when the discussion should start, because I feel some players still don’t trust him enough. Why not? Partly because he doesn’t seem to link up enough with the team. Despite the fact he runs a lot, he’s the 11th player in recovering the ball, so they don’t see him giving enough solutions. That may be a fair or unfair assessment, but it’s just what Real Madrid players think. For me, there’s another element – Cristiano Ronaldo is the leader of the team, and the superstar if you like. It cannot be any other who has got the same freedom to do whatever he wants and not work defensively. I am pretty certain that the day Ronaldo leaves, Bale will become the star of Real Madrid. But while Ronaldo’s there that’s going to be hard to do. http://native9ja.com/gareth-bale-wont-be-real-madrid-star-unless-cristiano-ronaldo-leaves-guillem-balague/

United announced the news on twitter on Thursday morning, saying they had reached an agreement for the player’s transfer, subject to a medical, and will be complete in June. The 21-year-old Dutch attacker reportedly met with Liverpool officials last month, something PSV confirmed last week. Depay was reported to be one of the main targets for Liverpool this summer, but last week the Mirror claimed that interest had cooled because Rodgers “needs all his transfer kitty to land a big-hitter up front.” A fortnight ago several Liverpool journalists claimed the Reds were top of the queue for Depay, having held talks with Ian Ayre. Alas, instead it’s another big target missed for Liverpool, adding to the long list of high profile players they’ve attempted to sign but ended up failing to acquire. http://native9ja.com/manchester-united-sign-memphis-depay-in-25m-deal/

Adam Lallana insists Liverpool will not give up hope of securing a top-four finish until it is mathematically impossible. The Reds are currently four points behind fourth-place Manchester United with three fixtures left to play for both sides. Brendan Rodgers closed the gap with Saturday’s victory over Queens Park Rangers at Anfield, while United suffered a third consecutive defeat when they went down 1-0 at Old Trafford to West Bromwich Albion. Lallana acknowledges it’ll be tough overturning the deficit, and believes a maximum haul will be required for Liverpool if they’re to achieve it. “It’s not over yet,” he stated. “We can still finish in the top four but we need to take maximum points now. We’ll keep fighting right to the end. We all know what can happen. “United have some tough games to play and I am sure they will drop more points. “We have to put pressure on United by going to Stamford Bridge and getting three points. Pressure is a tough thing to deal with. “We need to beat Chelsea and Palace and hope it all comes down to the final weekend.” Next up for Liverpool is a trip to newly-crowned champions Chelsea on Sunday. Lallana feels Jose Mourinho’s side are deserved winners of the title, but is aiming to spoil their end-of-season party. He said; “Chelsea deserve to be champions. The table doesn’t lie. They have been the best team throughout the season. You have to respect that. “All I know is we want to go there and spoil the party. We’re looking to go there and cause an upset and put a dent in their celebrations. “We all knew that last week was a big week and it was disappointing to only get four points out of the games against West Brom, Hull and QPR. “We would have been right on their toes, if not ahead of United, if we had performed better. But we still have a chance and everyone believes fourth place is still possible. “We have to concentrate on ourselves and look to take maximum points from our three remaining matches.” On a personal note, Lallana made his first start in six weeks against QPR. The England playmaker has managed 38 appearances in his maiden season at Anfield, but admits niggling injuries have been a source of disappointment. “It’s been really frustrating,” he said. “I never really got going and there was no consistency in my form. “We’ve had a couple of tough spells as a team this season but when you have hard times together, you come out of it in a better place and I believe that will happen here. “All the new players are going to be better for the experiences of this season. The pressure is always on at a club like Liverpool and everyone has seen that this year. “It will be a big pre-season for me to ensure I get fit and stay fit. We need a much better start to next season. “I’m desperate to do well here and contribute as much as I can.” http://native9ja.com/lallana-weve-not-given-up-on-top-four/

Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge may not play again this season, says boss Brendan Rodgers. Sturridge, 25, has been sidelined by hip and thigh injuries and has not played since the FA Cup quarter-final win over Blackburn on 8 April. Rodgers said: "We'll see if he's going to be back this season or pre-season." Liverpool have five Premier League games remaining as they look to chase the final qualifying spot for next season's Champions League. They are seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, but can narrow the gap to four points with victory at Hull on Tuesday. http://native9ja.com/daniel-sturridge-liverpool-striker-injury-doubt-for-rest-of-season/

A wardrobe malfunction, or accidental nudity, is accidental exposure of intimate parts. It is different from indecent exposure or flashing, as the latter ones imply a deliberate exposure.
