I feel sad for his loss. May the Lord comfort him andthe family in general. It's wise he gives both children to his mother-in-law since he's close to her. The baby needs a lot of attention right now which he might not be able to give because he's grieving.

Life has always been about choices.
If a woman chooses to breast feed, wonderful. She may also choose not to. The child will still live.
If she decides she and her partner can cope without a nanny, that's still great. If she can't cope without one, there are always options, provided she and her partner can afford it.
When a mother goes all the way out for her child, she should be appreciated, and never forget she had other choices or options.
All the royal household have always been raised by nannies, so nothing new there btw. Despite the fact they don't have serious jobs, except occasional ceremonial visits

I do agree with you here. Child upbringing is a major task on it's own and a mother deserves all the help she can get. How a mother chooses to raise her child is up to her as long as the child is not harmed. If she chooses formula feeding and having nannies around to help out, it's okay as long the child is proper taken care of. But for people like me who can worry for Africa and beyond we would prefer to do without the nanny. It's all part of the joy of motherhood.

This is very untrue. Physics cannot be a foundational course for biochemistry when the term biochemistry is obviously a collabo of Biology and Chemistry.

During my time as a BCH undergraduate, we did Physics ONLY in 100 lvl and 1st semester of 200lvl. A total of 3 Physics courses out more that 40courses in the entire 4year period.

I see the word 'foundational' threw you off balance. What I meant was that the OP has to pass physics to get admitted as a biochemistry student. Without a doing well in O'level physics how is the OP going to pass physics in 100lvl. I'm also a biochemistry graduate if you may know.

Physics is a foundational course for biochemistry so you might need to rewrite and get a C at least. Wish you all the best.

I am sure you have your 10m ready for the Canada trip, this is what you should do, continue your work in-country for some more time and triple that amount, you have nothing to loose as you would have gotten more experience and more money.

When you triple that amount, you don't need to come to Nairaland, on your own like this, you go just dey get divine inspiration on what to do :- .

Here's a simple thing to try. It works for me.
Focus on that one thing that has made you not commit suicide or give up, your daughter. Take a moment to look at her before you sleep at night and before you go about your business in the morning and make a solemn promise not to let her down. Always remind yourself about how much she needs you.

Most parents especially moms are so carried away with fashion, makeup and slaying for intagram pictures that they impose such lifestyle on their children knowingly or otherwise. They do this cause they want to feel and act like the 21st century mom. Growing up my mother taught me that a lady can be beautiful without makeup, jewellery or seductive clothings. Even till date I'm very careful about how I dress and can go out without makeup and feel very comfortable.
Parenting is a task that has to be handled carefully. A mom that sees herself as a slay queen will definitely raise her daughter to be a slay princess.

That's true. I know a child that calls her dad 'honey' just because she heard her mom call him that. She will definitely outgrow it with time.
