The bible itself is a book and even as a Christian, I don't take everything written there literally.
As far as training and instructing children is concerned, there are no specific laid down rules on how to go about it. Every parent or guardian chooses what works for them.
Just like every other book, the words in the bible can be turned, twisted and interpreted in various ways that would suit the way one chooses to train a child. So I do not agree to the fact that using the bible as a tool or guide to train a child is destructive.

My daughter is 4months old. She's learning to sit and reach for her toy, plays and laughs a lot. What I find fascinating about her right now is that when we go out for a party or something, she won't cry or disturb even though she's hungry but a mom's instinct tells me she's hungry, then I breastfeed her and she sucks hungrily. Once she's had her fill she lets go and smiles at me or sleeps.

Cheating and adultery is a planned process and also a choice. Telling women what to do so that their men won't cheat on them gives the impression that men are animals that have to be tamed and I totally disagree with this notion. Men are humans with brains and consciences. A man who won't cheat on his partner won't cheat. And there are certainly good men out there that don't need their wives to call them 'Sir' or walk about naked for them to remain faithful and loyal. It's all about decision making sir. Enough said.
