pino3011: I need your urgent help regarding my fixed deposit. My fixed deposit is a 1-year term. I opened it in June 2016, which means it's older than 6 months now. My concern is that its maturity date will be Jul 20, 2017 however my deadline for APR is Aug 16, 2017. I got the bank letter already and it clearly mentions the maturity date. Will this make CIC disregard my PoF because it will mature before the deadline? If yes, what should I do? Pls help me!! And also, how long is the bank statement valid for APR? I did it today, which means more than a month till my deadline. Thank you. Hello, Fixed Deposit is not encumbered funds you can terminate at any time. You will only be charged a token of your interest. That's why canada accepts FD and Treasury bills as proof of payment. It's easily liquidated. Please keep earning ur interest till you are ready to go. |

t405: Guys I was reading on canadavisa forum that during medicals the doctors asked a 4yr old some questions and the child dint respond and it prolonged the medicals of the family as IRCC requested for subsequent evaluations for the child.
Am asking because my 3 year old is quite timid, she won't talk to someone she doesn't rily know except she's in a very jovial mood. Ve bin trying to get her out of her shell against our upcoming medicals but my madam can't just be bothered
Pls those that have done medicals for their kids of around age 3/4yrs old what was the experience like.what is expected of the kids? HI dear, My 4 year old was not really quizzed cos she wasn't even answering. It was only my 6 year old that had to do eye test I.e reading d letters from across the room. There must have been other issues. we all passed medicals. |

Stages in Canadian PR journey
1st the profile 2nd is ITA 3rd is AOR 4th medicals 5th background 6th ppr 7th COPR 8th landing 9th pr card
=======================
These are 3 different stages that majority of the PR applicants in EE will see against Background check in My CIC.
IP1 -------- IP1 will be shown when we pass the medical. Some people get this update on the same day along with their medical and some of them couple of days after. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office)
NA --------- This stage, our file will be transferred to CPC (Case processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.
IP2 -------- This status will be seen in my CIC account once Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF upfront. These things will be done at CPC office.
It is not necessary that every applicant will undergo this process. But majority of the cases, I have noticed the same status. Hey guys thanks So we all have UCI nos...... Medicals passed background check showed not applicable. And all additional documents are being reviewed Eligibility is also being checked. Interview not applicable too. Those were the updates I saw. |

boldinc: Welcome...
1. You can show your receipt and also documents to prove you owned the ladn (copies of the original document). Also attach the contract of sale and make sure your account statement show the lumps sum paid t your account from the buyer.
2. You can use your account statement still as long as the balance has enough for your respective POF... Also state where necessary in the form that you have outstanding loans. Give the details...
3. You do not need medicals until post ITA.
All the best! So guys please if I alter my information post ITA....would if affect me? I.e changing the date on my work experience and removing some positions I have worked in the same company for 10yrs in 4 diff units which is what I put in EE.....now I want to collapse the 1st 6 years into 1 function n the remaining 4 years my current function as stated in my reference letter. Would it matter? |

dupyshoo: There is no restriction to where you can settle once you have got your PR. Only those that got PR through Quebec or PNP have restrictions. You can decide to choose any province you want.
Saskatchewan is cool, good for family, cheap and affordable accommodation but you might be better off in other provinces when you are considering job prospects. Thanks dupyshoo So is it possible to give an idea of these provinces....I can do further investigations on them Thanks |

Hi guys,
I am filling out my intended location....whilst I have heard that Ontario is very busy and not a lot of jobs. I am considering Saskechewan. Is there anyone that has information on this province or any recommendations. We have 2 kids ages 4 and 6. I currently work in a bank but open to other sectors. Thanks |

dupyshoo: Short landing means landing in Canada briefly mainly to activate your PR status and then leaving shortly after landing. So that means I can go for a month come back home , maybe leave my husband behind to secure a job before I resign from my own job here. Anyway let's not get ahead of ourselves...I'm still compiling my documents.....also my husband did his masters in the Uk 11yrs ago...would we need police certificate from the UK? |

dupyshoo: Hi all,
The journey that started last year May has finally come to an end. We finally landed in Canada yesterday. Glory to God as we are now officially Permanent Residents of Canada. Nothing much was asked except if we have new family members and if we have any criminal record. Even POF was not asked.
Want to wish everyone with their applications still in process all the best. For those that are still awaiting ITA and PNP, God will perfect it and finally for those who are contemplating on starting this Canadian PR journey, please start as soon as you can, you have got nothing much to lose.
I will still be on the forum to answer any questions you may have but I won't be able to answer any job related questions as we are only doing short landing. We will be travelling back home in the next few weeks as we are not planning to move to Canada permanently until the next 2 years. Hello , Kindly explain short landing to me. Sounds like a good plan. You can send me a mail on rolakeh@gmail.com. Pleaseeeeee |

Hello guys ,
I am new to nairaland altogether...good job here helping one another.
Congrats to all who got ITA so far....I have a few questions please.
1. I intend to sell a piece of land to show my POF...what docs do I have to show?
2. I have a mortgage (house loan) running...on my current account (salary account) does this affect me negatively? Rent from the house pays back the loan or can I just use a different account.
3. Do I do my medicals upfront?
Thank you guys. |
