Yesternight, a friend of mine confided in me that he sold his kidney to provide help on MMM. MMM crashed three days after he provided the help and he is now left with one kidney and no money. He has been very concerned and dejected since then and is contemplating suicide. How should I advise him? What can I tell him to make him shelve the idea? Please I need quick answers before he does something stupid. Lalasticlala, Mynd44, front page please. |
He is not ruined yet. By the time he is reduced to begging to eat, he would know the meaning of ruined. We warned you people but you failed to listen. You all deserve it. Greedy creatures. |

everozone:MMM might come back. Agreed! However (if it returns), the Mavros would be depreciated and users would earn lesser than they were supposed to and it would remain like that until it finally crashes. |
samuel051:You initially said a pairs of brains. Now it's two pairs of brains. That's good. At least, it shows that you're slowly grabbing my explanation. However, the new phrase sis still wrong because BRAINS DON'T COME IN PAIRS. You should have just said "you need a new brain". |
samuel051:Mr man, na you suppose learn tenses and rules of concord. Pair is singular and pairs is plural. "Pair of shoes"and "pair of trousers" are singular terms, which mean two shoes (that is, one left and right leg of the same kind) and one trouser respectively. "Pairs of shoes"and "pairs of trousers" are plural terms, which mean at least four shoes (that is, at least two left and right legs of the same kind) and at least, two trousers respectively. Brains come in ones and not in twos, so they are neither in pair nor pairs. And even if brains came in pairs, it should be "a pair of brain" for one pair and "a pairs of brains" for more than one pair. You said "a pairs of brain" while referring to one brain, which does not even come in pairs in the first place. Stop confusing yourself. Lastly, I am a graduate and I am through with NYSC. And mind you, I am not one of those graduates that don't know their onions. I know mine and I know it well. Use of English has never and will never be my problem. ![]() |
AnodaIT:Also bookmarked till January to make sure that nothing is edited. |
everozone:Non-MMM participants do not wish MMM participants failure. |
samuel051:Stop trying to justify your use of pair. As I said earlier, the human brain does not come in pairs. And even if it did, it would be "a pair of brain" and not "a pairs of brain". |
egopersonified:They need it now than ever because MMM would not open in January. And even if it does, their Mavros would have been depreciated. |
samuel051:Humans only have one brain, so it is not a pair. Even if it was a pair, we use "pair" and not "pairs". Is that clear? |
I am running a mini promo ONLY for those who lost their money in the recent MMM crash. You are to answer all three riddles correctly and write a very short statement of not more than two sentences, explaining why you took part in MMM. 1. I am something. I am everywhere and I am nowhere. You can feel me but you cannot see me. What am I? 2. Which is heavier, a ton of feathers or a ton of stone? 3. Which is faster, hot or cold? Only one answer is allowed per person and anyone with more than one answer is automatically disqualified. Also, don't forget to add your short statement explaining the reason(s) you participated in MMM. The first three correct answers with the most convincing reason(s) get 6,000 naira each. No questions. |
These moderators have killed this thread. :-? |
INTROVERT:Sorry. You are not qualified since you didn't do MMM. |

SpicyMimi:You don't need to pay into his account. You pay into his proxy accounts that are disguised as that of other members. He would be requesting and getting help while not providing help. |
I can no longer count the number of doctors that have found cures for HIV/AIDS. |
queenfav:You are right. Tecno does not own Gionee. I never said they did though. I only said they "might" and that was inspired by an article I read about Tecno and Gionee opening factories in India. I later confirmed that both companies were of different owners immediately after I wrote the post but I did not edit it. |
Zamfaran:Remove the plugin. The adsense does not belong to you. |
TheTrueSeeker:You have a nice plot here. Unfortunately, you and not the money lender is the cause of your problems. How can you even borrow money at 20% interest? DO you know what it means? The first step in living a fulfilling life is staying away from debt, which I have decided to do. The so called debt you take from banks and the likes always put one pressure on you that you end up making wrong business choices. Ask people paying LAPO loans what they go through and you will be surprised. Unfortunately, many never learn. Your problem had nothing to do with the money lender and absolutely everything to do with you. |
Acidosis:And what do you mean by "priests"? So far, I know landlords call mostly alfas or pastors, depending on their religious alignment. So please clarify the word "priest" because you make it sound as if they call some occult people. |
erico2k2:All the weapons she mentioned (L115A3 AWM, Cheytac, Barrett .50 Cal, AS50, Dragunov SVD, PSG1, M21, etc) are all marksman/sniper rifles. They are used to take out enemy combatants and sometimes, vehicles, from behind the frontlines. The weapons in the list you shared includes weapons like the M-16, AK 103, H&K G3 and the FN Scar-L, which are all assault rifles. Assault rifles and marksman/sniper rifles are in different classes altogether and cannot be compared together. We also have other classifications of rifles like anti-materiel (not material) rifles and battle rifles. each classification has its purpose and weapons should only be compared with those in the same classes, not in different classes. Also, in the link you shared, you'll notice that the M-16 is listed in number 1 followed by AK 103 in number two and FN Scar in number 10. I do not know if the list was listed accordingly but the M 16 should not even appear in a list of rifles yet it did because the site is American. |
kenonze:These are marksman (aka sniper) rifles. The AK is an assault rifle. It is also difficult to compare weapons. Different sites would always give different rankings. What might be number 1 in one would be number 10 in another. There is also the issue of politics. An American site would never put a Russian weapon over theirs just as a Russian site would never say an American weapon is better than theirs. |
bettercreature:Nigeria does not use AK-47. In fact, it would be very difficult if not impossible to find any standing army or terrorist group using the AK-47 today. The variant we use is the AK 74 and several similar derivatives. The AK 74 is not outdated. Military hardware do not become outdated that easily. They simply go through series and series of upgrades before they are put into storage and finally, taken out of use. Modern AK's - which are derivatives of the AK 74 and consequently, AK 47 - have polymer (and not wooden) buttstocks, rails for scopes and other accessories and the likes. Nigeria simply needs to either upgrade the existing AK's in its armouries or just buy the modern variant. Either way, the AK is still relevant but it seriously needs upgrades. Note that the 72nd mobile strike force of the Nigerian Army makes use of the Beryl carbine, another AK 47 variant made in Poland. The Quick Response Force of the Nigerian Air Force, the Special Boat Service of the Nigerian Navy and the State security Service (SSS) also make use of the Israel made Tavor 21 bullup rifles. The SSS also uses the Belgan FN F2000 bullup rifle and the FN Minimi machine gun. They are all sexy looking weapons. Also, 30 round magazines is the standard for assault rifles. |

It seems the new strategy omo-onliles use to extort people is by dragging them to court. They did a similar thing in my area and surprisingly, they won. Now, many homeowners (who have owned their houses for decades) in my area need to settle the omo-oniles else they would lose their house. |
