Guest posts also boost traffic. I write for top Nigerian Sites Naij and Pulse. I get a lot of traffic from their sites too. You can consider contacting top sites that cover your niche as well and writing for them.

On this, how does one apply to write for these websites. I once applied to Naij but I never got a reply.

Of recent we have seen how a husband beat the living daylight out of his wife for using their savings to invest in the Ponzi scheme, infact I know of a sales girl who stole her employers half a million Nigeria to invest in MMM. Now that the money is gone, who is to be blamed?

There is nothing like "spare" cash. No one has spare cash. MMM was a scam from the beginning.

No. It has never been and as long as people have to vote for the stories that'll be considered, it will never be.

Many people buy votes and others that can solicit for votes from social media and online forums have a better shot at winning than those that do not have high engagement or cannot solicit for votes.

I also noticed that voting could sometimes be a nightmare. I went through hell before I could vote for a friend. Even at that, I never read his story. I only voted for him because he is my friend.

I also observed that some stories mysteriously disappeared towards the end of the competition and their pages were left blank.

Etisalat runs the flash fiction prize for publicity purposes and not to appreciate writers. I avoid it because of this.
