kikikikii. grin I remember those days.
2013/2014. I have been to all the five eastern states, they are just like a normal Nigerian towns. but those guys like living in self denial, they can only deceive themselves and the gullible ones that haven't been to their Land, I always wonder now that where are these iboe boys trooping From? because they don't use to be much before.
that customized Own is Ibadan matter he will be masturbating. I remembered when ilugunboy told him to meet him. the idiot was just beating round the bush.
small iboe boys claiming to own estates in Lagos, where as, in reality they are nothing. idiot was busted when he took pictures of his hand (was wearing 300 watch) grin

@shymm3x ,

That's the thing, The Civil Service is a packaged welfare system designed to look like active duty..

Ain't nothing happening in 90% of government offices..

Come to Abuja, you'll see Nigerian wonder, Agencies of govt occupying the 2nd floor of a residential building & only a 3rd bother to be punctual & regular & some even if you want to work dem nor send u message..

My younger sis' office was a rented bungalow that they have been evicted from since a yr+ ago & the salary hasn't stopped neither is the govt aware that the bosses are just balling on govt dime....

As long as NASS is getting their cut, appropriation of funds for its mgt is not going to stop...

Told her a few days ago that we should place a bet , that before this month runs to an end, an office space will magically appear, hope to win...

They cant scrap those dormant ministries because of the people who work there who would be unemployed that would raise hell and make the ruling party lose elections.

When Buhari delayed ministerial list and even pruned it down many people were already complaining that. There is no money in town. That the money budgeted to ministries would trickle down in form of money for PA, DG, perm secs, hiring of staffs etc

So if a budget of say 100M was allocated to a ministry before they think of any project they have to remove the money for salary and travels/training. Its whatever is left that would go to projects (ignoring that they are stealing). The cost of governance is so damn high and not sustainable

Those 6 months we didnt have ministers in Nigeria that we raised hell, Do you know how much in salary was saved? The truth is the people that really do the work are usually about 10, the rest are just there to fill constitutional quotas

When growing up I knew a friend whose mom was employed by FEDECO(INEC of the 2nd republic) the ministry was no longer in existence but she was still collecting the salary till the mid 90's almost 15yrs after the scraping of FEDECO while she would resume to her shop and still collect salary

Nigeria is a very complex country I tell you

Let me give you an example. When Akala was voted out in Oyo state he set a landmine for the incoming Ajimobi by hiring many people with the intention of dumping their financial burden on the coming govt on top of little resources
I don't know much about state civil service save for the hullabaloo of relatives & media but for the federal i am a semi authority cos i'm the product of career public servants & also in same shoes....

The civil service is really more of a welfare package as it stands now,the government know they will have mutiny on their hands if they don't try & absorb some of the populace....

Power problem killed so many industries that would have been employers of millions, & ensured that international FCMG all hightail it to neighboring WA countries. ...

Let me give a lil scenario, a teenage BF in lag just after his SSCE got a Job in a Rubber & Automobile tyre company in Ikeja , when he got admission after a few years he was still working on a part time basis (father was a senior supervisor ) during long ASUU strikes & school breaks...

Fast forward to his service year, he worked his PPA to said company who had promised to retain him cos he has On the Job Experience, has a degree & has been tested..... He got in only to be told the coy was relocating to Ghana cos the cost of Diesel was honna break the balls of the company....

Now, he is in the Lag civil service ....

Egbon, you don't know dayokanu? He's a Kabiyesi. Ekun oko awon omo Igbo. One man riot that used to give flateeno a run for their money. He's been here since 2005 or 2006. He's a Vet.

Many people have left. Politics section is no longer interesting anymore since veterans left. Smallies and I-POD youths have taken over now.
I'm also getting tired as well, it's a tedious exercise trying to rouse people pretending to be in la la land.....

Use to just glance in & just prop up the "Like" quota of people speaking my mind till a break early this year coupled with the BS i see in Fed civil service & the kind of daylight robbery going on all day EVERYDAY got me commenting to pass time.....

You hope to engage in robust & balanced discuss (even if partisan) but you end up feeling like sending sopana & ara to people!!! Curses & insults cos rational & sound judgement is alien to them...

Baby leave will soon be over & real life will continue..

However, are they really building infrastructures that can generate/create wealth? I'll probably give Lagos a pass here cos of Eko Atlantic and a few other decent projects.

But can the same be said about Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Oyo, and Ondo? Didn't Aregbe build a massive drum, despite the fact that he knows the state is broke?

PUTTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT...WHAT I KNOW ABOUT REMITA....

(Please be alert to my emphasis on some words and phrases using capital letters)

......But I do also know for those who see everything wrong with PMB...or who are looking for ways to accuse him, ...had he cancelled the contract, they will still say he is REVERSING ALL THAT FORMER PRESIDENT GEJ DID!!!!......

May be Nigerians should be told, that the standard applied by SYSTEM SPECS is acceptable globally and various govt revenue agencies using online medium like Nigeria Immigration (ePassport) (never mind they have gone manual to enable the usual fraud to continue), have done similar things.....Blame should go the govt that signed the contract because they could have negotiated better and much lower charges considering the VOLUME OF TRANSACTIONS INVOLVED. Or even negotiate an outright purchase of the platform!!...I suppose should not have cost more than $10-20m to purchase it and then ask SYSTEM SPECS to operate it for annual fees!!

Surely, if some Nigerians are not careful, the way they are going they will use propaganda to set this nation on rage..
Learnt something, thanks OP.....

& that Dino of unverifiable & shrouded in mystery income stream is a straight up MOFO....

Trying to get back at Jagaban but has set the polity on fire with his high level ignorance. ...

If you know anything about the civil service you'd consider things from a different perspective. ...

When Perm Secrs & Ministers "contribute" to PCO & the "power that be" does not deem it fit to ASK from which account of the MDAs it was sourced from like the heads of MDA have side businesses.. lipsrsealed... said more than enough, deduce the rest...

kahal29:

“Remita is an e-Payment/e-Collection software that has been in place since 2011, because the TSA transfers started under the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
“It was Tunde Lemo’s baby and approved by former Governor Sanusi for the transfer of funds to the TSA.
[b]“But when it was discovered that SystemSpecs had deducted about N8.6 billion for the recent TSA transfers of N1.5 trillion, we immediately asked them to reverse the deduction, which they complied with.
“The issue was brought to the attention of the president (Muhammadu Buhari) and he asked that the money be returned immediately which is what has happened.

“Going forward, it is our intention to review the contract on the software, because the CBN has its own software for e-Payments and e-Collections,” a CBN official, who did not want to be named, said.
