Truckpusher:No sir. Those pictures were taken the day I posted. People were complaining at the office and we decided to act instead of complaining. On way to lunch one of us took the pictures. I am thankful that it is just a handover problem and you seem to be so sure about how and when it would be solved, your confidence makes me glad. By the way, We noticed this morning that workers have been deployed to Stadium road. One abandoned truck was removed and they were even scraping the heaps of sand at the side of the road. Great progress. Thanks to every one who has contributed to this thread, i have a feeling that this might have triggered the mobilization. |
otokx:Oh dear!! |
I really dont know where to complain about this. The garden city is being over run by dirt. Major streets like Stadium road, Ada george, NTA road, Elekhia road...which used to be well maintained and clean high profile roads are now in an absolute sorry state. They have not been swept for months. Please responsible authourities should urgently act to save our city from its degenerate state. Pics below are from the almighty Stadium and Elekhaia roads. Big no. Too much hassle and double cost at once. |
The post reminded me of the ideal gas laws in secondary school. Sometimes its better you dont know somethings. Peoples reaction to issues are as varied as the colour spectrum. You might end up with a result you can never manage. It applies to both things in the past and even in the present. There are some decisions i take that i am certain is for the good of all, but am sure my husband would never see it that way, so its best he is not in the know for the time being. Some people might be blessed with a spouse of like mind, others are not so fortunate. |
Once was trying to wean. After one day I couldn't take the pain anymore and I breast fed my child. At the creche the next day the teachers and minders complained and even wrote in the diary that his stool was very offensive and more frequent that day. 'WE WERE WONDERING WHAT HE ATE'. I just smiled sheepishly. ...I my take .Its not the freshest brew..but it doesn't cause any harm.smelly stool no be sickness. |
simplex2:Yes there is nothing immoral about sec in the right context. Marriage. |
Dnarvaez:For real I watched a documentary once and Indian women had the highest bleaching rate. |
Hello nairalanders, Unfortunately i dont have this knowledge, but the thread is seeking for someone who does. There are so many species of dry fish in the market, some fleshy, bony, tastey and recently i became aware of the nomenclature of salt water and fresh water dry fish. Then the ordinary catfish has the one with bigger head and local and imported. Fish from the north and those from the south..... I am soooo confused. Please is there anyone in the house with experience on the types of dryfish, that can be best used for soups, their names(local of course)? Their specie description(so we can know them when we see them), where they can be best obtained? Which ones would make local soups to die for? Stock fish too, differentiating the cod from the non cod, the white from the brown, the original from the fake. The thing tire me. Very expectantly waiting for answers. Thank you. |
Hello, Am interested, but would require a veracity of your source, to prevent scam. The price of cement at 1000k . SINCE WHen even from the gate of Dangote Factory. Please proove your authenticity. Thank you in anticipation. |
Interesting to see some traditional values are still obtainable. That mother is a role model. |
Nice words. But i think this words are not age appropriate. You sound as if all youre training your daughter to be, is a good wife. NO offence, but at this phase we need to expand their horizons. Peharps your topic should be wise words from a father to his about to wed daughter. No offence oh. |
[quote author=thorpido post=31602561]Your man has got an ego and his statement was a selfish one. Have a talk with him and express the things you just wrote here to him.Tell him the exact words. His response will determine what your next course of action will be.[/tquote] Thanks for the reply. Then and there o tried talking with him and he was re echoing his statement. I think it's something he believes and I can't change. He might just lie to make me feel better but it remains in his mind as is. My position now is to stop contribution until he asks me very nicely and save passionately for the rainy day Many thanks again On the trending topic some men help some don't. If you have the ones that don't. Do what you can...as someone said kick the toys out of the way and take the duties as yours. My own experience is that asking him to help only makes it worse. Keep repeating it and you enter the nagging wife level. Get a house help asap. It's a phase that would pass the babies would grow. |
Great thread. Am married with kids. We are currently building our home. The project has fostered a united front and gives us a topic that excites us both. The property is in both our names which I feel is natural . He however made a statement that I would not have even known he bought land not to talk of having my name on the deed if I was not earning enough to contribute substantially to the project. On another occasion he said his telling me of the projects day to day activities was doing me a great favour. That I should ask all my friends who are housewives if their names all re on their property. Mega Shocked! !!!! I felt so heartbroken and disappointed. I presently want to withdraw all support from that building financial and otherwise. I feel like if not for my financial ability he would not even regard me or even have married me. I wonder what would become of me if I loose my job or stop working. |

chibic:I can almost bet that the husband in the post does not share in the house chores. A man if he can should take financial responsibility of his family. Only when he doesn't have the means should he be excused.its not in a woman's hardwire to provide for like that she would always feel cheated. As for the poster s cousin if the husband has any source of income she should stay clear of some areas.if he doesn't want to pay the rent. Chop liver and ignore it. If when he sees you are not forthcoming he would pay. I had such an experience.first year of marriage we shared the rent 50 50.i was paying cable buying gas buying all the food.plenty love plenty foolishness. School fees sef....The underlying issue was my husband could owe without troubles. I hate owing passionately.so I would run and pay. One day I told him I could pay but out of respect for him I wouldn't. I turned a blind eye and he took care of business. I don't get money for upkeep or food. But I don't mind for now I can afford those |
Why would i sleep over at a guys house in the first place? Sorry thread is not for me. Apologies for occuping space. |
Well they might not be the most cherished after i love you, but those words are surely welcome once in a while. No matter how hardworking a woman is or how much she likes to cook, being fed is a welcome intermittent change. As for him excaping from my food, its only when a woman has inferiority complex over her food she should bother about that. The man eats the food everytime and he wants a break, whats the fuss about that. |
petikal: That's another thing. The reality is that many of these househelps aren't paid well - some not at all. Sure, you may take care of their academics/shelter and feed them, but that's what most'll get! Please is this any different from what children of the house get? What else is there? If the maid is not in school however ensuring the person also learns a skill or trade while with you is highly beneficial as it empowers the person for the future, the maid work has no future career. Personally i employ only people above 20 for that work no child abuse tins. I cannot cope with the work alone, i go old. Husband is not the type inclined to help and i would not even bother asking him...fight tins. If one has a spouse that is inclined to domestic work then all good, they can cope without a help. |
Interesting thread. Peharps its my husband that should be telling this story, but i would attempt to join his side and my side. He recently moved into my area and told his friends while moving that he was going to find his wife in this area, that year. He saw me one day walking down the street, i noticed his clean fine look but didnt really give him any thought. He later said his attraction was my legs..... He cornered me a few days later and told me he wanted me to be his wife, i replied just like that, you dont even know me, that infact i was engaged( i had a boyfriend and we were making plans..or rather i was making plans), he looked at my ringless fingers and laughed out loud, that even the ones with ring are not sure talkless or me without a ring. That struck home. Then i found out he was from a different tribe..i totally logged off. But that guy chased me eh...I have never seen such tireless zeal and tenacity. He used every trick in the book(yeah he later showed me the book, it has a lofty place on our bookshelf today - art of seduction(rob greene ). The final trick that worked was the impression he gave me that all the girls in town wanted him, that guy sef, many tricks, well hes so good looking, well packaged, very funny and intelligent that that line of seduction worked. I unbelievably married someone not from my tribe(people who know me personally would understand why it was a massive deal) and three children later(baby 4 on the way), i have absolutely no regrets. I would rather be with no one else. My top notch correct bobo. |
passionate88:Even if they can it would be an unwise move. Bringeth insults later in life. |
Still do. Very yummy. But now use a toothpick instead of my fingers as too messy. |
I dont know why i dont like that man... He dosent even have a manifesto only saying what others have done or havent done. This our politics sha, i fear. Esp as the probability of him winning is high. He dosent seem a good person at all, i fear for Rivers state. |
My husband once told me that if you call someone a dog the person would behave like one. Another man told me he married a second wife be cos the first one became James bond investigator.this particular guy told me that when his wife trusted him Though it didn't stop him from cheating but he was very discrete. That when she bad friends and advisers and she wanted to prove tough he showed her pepper by marrying another wife. Well all men are not of the same mould trying to trust him and showing him you trust him might prolong the guilt feeling and make him come to his sences. I wonder why men take the risk of 5 mins of enjoyment at the expense of a good home. Na wa. |
DaBullIT:Sorry dear happily married with kids and a good career to boot. You feel you are showing women pepper, but you are also doing your self a diservice. Imagine, you think you do women a favour by marrying them... |
Long lonely days ahead mi dear poster. Long lonely dayw killjoy:s. .my days are definitely not painful. Well but since i am a woman it would not count as your focus is on the guys. At least you did not deny the fact that your ideology would lead to lonely Ness. It makes plenty sense don't vex or get me wrong it's just the repercussions i am scared of. But if you are happy then who are we. |
Poster makes sense. But you don't have to be a soothsayer to see the lonely life ahead with this kind of philosophy. Very lonely. Marriage is not for everyone sha..I wish you the best. |

Very creative but I personally don't like it. I would be too embarrassed and shy there. Dinner ke. What can you eat or drink in such a public place with everyone looking at your mouth for your expression. Yuck. Someone would just be smiling sheepishly. |
That's where their power reach.they are not man enough for o more mature women. Cheap game. |
LaShawn: Do you use the ALWAYS to wrap the other ones or is the ALWAYS under them. Doesnt it bulge? I always wear a black skirt too.I use the always at the bottom of the others, (but you can try wrapping to see if it would hold better, my only fear is that always gel, i dont know if it is harmful if it comes in contact with ones skin) . The Yes it buldges, thus the tight panties. I also try to choose an outfit that would not show my silouette. For me that extreemely heavy flow occurs for only two days out of the entire period, day 2 and 3, with plenty cramps On the cramps they also reduced significantly after child birth and i observed that the longer i am not pregnant, the more the cramp increases with time. its a cross i have learnt to live with. BTW i have 3 kids |
I had the same issue. It embarrassed me to a point that I stopped getting embarrassed. I only went to two doctors though and both said I was fine no fibroid etc. The blood even used to come in heavy clots and clumps as well. I started to fabricate my own padding. Get the ones thy use after giving birth Dr brown I place two or three on top of each other. I use blade to cut the middle of each one so the blood would not spill over but funnel Dow. I then round off with always that is extra long the one that is 7 in a pack.then wear very tight panties to keep it all together. I then ensure I wear a black skirt or trouser. At the same time I keep tabs of all the nearest toilets and keep changing the topmost pad when ever I can. I avoid journeys during that period as well. The last doctor told me it would reduce with childbirth and indeed it has. Btw I married late so had to suffer this for a while. I was also not sexuallyactive. The use of a tampon is not enough reason to have sec. And I feel tampon sef cannot take that heavy flow. Also contraception pills can drastically alter your cycle.they stop being regular and might still contracept even when you want to start having kids. |
