I suggest people should give it a try . I have tried it severally and there is no comparison weather the tomato is fresh or not. In fact those big red fine ones in my experience have the most sour taste.
I use porous bag .like the akamu type to drain mine. The snag is that it reduces the quantity of the tomato.as for the vitamins if you fry to madness as some people suggest. I don't think any vitamin would survive so this method is still superior . the taste is always well worth it. You don't have to fry it to madness with this method so it saves gas and makes the stew taste fresher.

I also agree that some species are less sour than others and might not need the method. But they are not as common. Also when buying in baskets I first taste the tomato before buying. If the available speciee is too sour I postpone my bulk buying.

Well poster i am a woman and unfortunately your post is partially true. Where you are wrong is in the generalising....qualify the nigerian women with 'some' to be fair. Me sef i wan flog some of us for road, they can be sooo anoying. I dont know weather they learnt driving at old age or they are just distracted or plain scared, i really cant explain it. However we have some mumu male drivers as well that make me wonder what they were doing when their mates were learning how to drive.

But for the record i am female and a very good driver, men i give rides always comment and unfortunately the comment is ''you drive like a man'', still supporting the posters statement.

I dont understand why people fail to apply simple details of modesty and separation. Why should she be sleeping in her dads room at that age? Why should he even come into her room anyhow? Why should she be scantly dressed in the house? After inviting the devil we start shouting.

When i was unmarried my father NEVER once came into my room, he calls me from far. Those are little details of modesty and respect for the other person. At an age i would not even allow my husband bathe my daughter, infact the guy would not even agree sef......Please she should use common sence and apply modesty with her dealings with her father. She is right to an extent. Married couples owe it to themselves to look out for each other. If i wear nonsence my husband would ask me 'and where do you think youre going with that nonsncence' and vice versa. Especialy in matching clothes and the like. There was a bill that was sponsored about a year ago in the house to prevent the woman from claiming her state of origin, but that was purely because of political beef, as women could fall in line in which ever direction was pleasing to her. I wonder if that bill was passed sef.

First point of correction being a house wife is more challenging and difficult than being a working woman. Primariy because its a thankless stressful job without monetary rewards.

Second it depends on your value system. Stay at home mums invariably have time to take better care of the kids and the home. The children at a particular age crave just for mummys presence and the stability of having her around. I know a banker who hardly sees her kids cooks only weekends and is highly strung out. The children learn from their house help, thankfully in her own case she has a good one.

Third the only solid point (from my view) is in case the breadwinner dies, so a woman should at least have some skill and some knowledge of the business world incase....

All in all, i think men who drive on this are just plain lazy and looking for who to feed them. if ur lucky enough that your spouse is working always revaluate your self and remember that it is a pure bonus and should not be relied on or make the man lazy.

Both parents were wrong to have lost their tempers. Your parents who were the hosts would have played a more mature role to calm down the situation. You are asking for someones daughter and had the audacity to walk the father out of your house, they acted as if they were doing your inlaw a favour.......If you were there you should have also intervened sharply. IF you have a sister imagine your father being walked out of his future inlaws house. Shame on you all. I smell class difference thus the audacity and rudeness.

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has said about 162 electrocutions and 132 injuries, all induced by poor safety regulations and compliance were recorded in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) in 19 months.
NERC stated recently at a public consultation on its draft health and safety code authored for adoption in NESI that most of the accidents were recorded in the sector between January 2102 and July 2013, mostly at various electricity distribution companies and points in the country.
The commission thus noted that when approved for operation, it would not hesitate to initiate penalties against electricity distributions companies that fail to comply with extant provisions in its health and safety codes.

Very insightful and interesting. I actually agree with some of it e.g the seriousness of the matter and the young people not being alone together(occassion of sin) very very true....it could lead to sinful acts.

However one question that comes to mind is would this same process happen when the man is going for the 2nd, 3rd and peharps the 4th round? In my thinking a poliferation reduces the seriousness that is preached in the first place.
