I went to primary school with children from "Little Saints Orphanage", Lagos and I built a good relationship with the kids. We were all calssmates. I see their struggle. I see their pain. It's not easy growing up without a Parent. I made them my friends. We tried to make them feel good. I loved them and showed them love. I was always happy anytime I'm Selected by my Primary School to go and sing for them on their Anniversary every July.

Then when I was 13yrs old, tragedy struck, my father died right in front of me. I was the only one at home when it happened. Very traumatic. I then knew what they were passing through. All well and good, God has been faithful. Being raised by a Single Mother and to God be the glory, here I am.

The good aspect of it all is that myself and most of those wonderful "Little Saints", now "Big Saints" reconnected on Facebook and still talk often.

May God grant this Poster the financial resources and Wisdom to raise a child.

I have a B.Sc in Geography and I have teaching experience but I have discovered that if I send my CV to a School, they will call me fast becos my course "Geography" is rare and most schools search for us but teaching in Nigeria is frustrating and that's why I don't want to teach.

What makes it frustrating in Nigeria is
1) The LOW PAY!!!
2) People Look Down On Teachers
3) School Owners don't treat teachers well
4) Corruption has eaten deep
5) Parents don't train their kids well in terms of morals thereby making teachers look bad.
Eg: You correct a child. Child reports to the parent and the parents comes to fight the teacher

When I used to teach, the SS3 students reported me to the VP for giving them Impromptu Test. VP called me to caution me
All becos their school fees was 150K per term. Story for another day.

Back to my story.

Teaching is a profession that can never be taken over by technology unlike some fields that technological advancement have rendered its employees jobless.

Who will teach your children?
Will you leave your jobs to teach your kids up to Secondary School level.
Everybody looking to advance in life will one time or the other need to enrol in a school or University to be trained in a field.

I am a self taught person. I could count how many times I attended classes in the University yet I graduated with a good grade. I was always teaching myself. Not everybody is wired like me. Some people need teachers to teach them.

It is well.

In all, This Country needs to do more.
This country needs to invest in the educational sector.
Private Schools should be regulated if possible. If not, create more government Schools and employ more teachers while paying them well.
Also, there should be good facilities also in these schools.

In all, yesterday I learnt that some schools pay their teachers above 200K-250K per month even more. I heard they are the British and American schools in Nigeria. These type of schools, even if the students slap you, the school will tell you to apologize to them

Nobody should ask me about them becos I don't know. Hmmm...it is well.

All of you mentioning "Go And Learn A Skill", don't forget to tell the poster to add Marketing skills to it o. Becos it's one thing to go and learn your graphics or web stuffs and it's another to get jobs per second.

Let me tell you how I go there.

There are two ways.

From Iyana Ipaja, enter a bus going to IFO.
When they stop you at IFO. Right there you will see cab going to Ilaro or you ask around, let them show u.

If you don't see, From that IFO, just take a bus going along that same road. Tell the driver you are stopping at "Papa". When u stop, cross to the other side of the road and ask for where you will get a Cab going to Ilaro. They will show you.


OR

From Iyana Ipaja, take a bus going to Sango. From Sango, ask around especially conductors or bus drivers where you will get a Cab going to Ilaro straight. They will show you
(though it's use to be quite expensive. Around N500 then during my NYSC year and they will squeeze you all in the Cab. 2 infront and 4 at the back in a small cab meant to cater for just 3 at the back).
Though this route is quite easier.

I know already.

It's already week 6 and they are about 17 Housemates in that house. Show ends at week 10.

Hello everyone. I want to share my experience yesterday using Bolt. Yesterday, I had a job interview at Jibowu, Yaba. It was raining heavily and I needed to be there on time. I would have opted for jumping bus under the rain but I decided to use bolt for comfort and to avoid getting there all wet.

I ordered for bolt from Ayobo (Near Access Bank). It told me 2100-2700. Now it's been a while I used bolt so I was kinda confused which price it was so I configured my app so I can pay with my Bank.

They sent me a driver by the name OMIDURO SUNDAY. Immediately I entered his car, he did not even let me land, he started asking me "Are you paying with Cash"? I said no. He said Why? That he wants Cash. I said I didn't have. He started asking me "How much is the trip"? I told him the range I was given. He said No. That when we reach, it will be more than that. That the price will go up becos of rain which I did not believe and told him to move that it won't change. He kept being uneasy saying Uber is fixed by Bolt is not. He later opened his Uber app.

Next thing he said was let him end the trip and I give him cash and it will be 3000 which I declined. Remember, the rain was falling like mad. I was late for an interview due to rain. At this point, I couldn't understand his entire explanation.

When I questioned him again after seeing his disposition, he then opened up to me saying why he insists cash is becos HE HAS BEEN OWING BOLT SO HE DOES NOT WANT ANY MONEY TO ENTER TO THE BOLT ACCOUNT.

At this point, I now understood his agitation and told him I will give him cash (planned to give him the 3000 he asked for) and that he should end the trip immediately by parking now. He said he will, let him get to the next Bustop. That took like 5 mins.

Next he kept on agitating that I should give him the 3000 immediately. This time we were around Ipaja. That was where he parked.

To cut the long story short, I got to my destination late, gave him the 3000, later realised that Bolt debited me 400 again from my app.

This is becos the man decided to eat my time of 5mins to stop at the next Bustop which cost me extra 400 which I told him to stop immediately but he refused saying let him get to the next Bustop.

In all, he got 3400 in total. I'm sure he would be smiling seeing I didn't make noise about it smarter but I know what to do.

My Anger Is The Extra 400 He Made BOLT charge me and to make matters worse, I didn't still get the job. N3400 all wasted plus stress

He even stopped at Iyana Ipaja to buy food begging me he is hungry. Left me in the car. Took like 5 to 10 minutes buying food. Wasting my time. Was even eating and driving becos he knows nobody will see him becos his car glass is tinted.

I'm going to call Bolt today and tell them all these.

His name is OMIDURO SUNDAY ROTIMI and I also have his phone number which he gave me.

I will call Bolt today. Such driver is not a good person and shouldn't be working for them.

I'm using my experience to enlighten others on the evils these men do to we passengers.

Please know alot about Bolt, Uber before entering becos once these drivers know you are a newbie, most will want to cheat you.

Corruption is deeply rooted in them and they will reap what they sow.
