Statistics don't lie. Facebook all the way! |
SimonAndal: _There are you go again, someone who wants to study embedded systems and algorithms should go and study that. Don't mix that with the entire computer science courses. Someone who wants to study operating systems should concentrate and major on that. That way we would produce geniuses in short time. But mixing all these courses will produces all the computer novice graduates we have today. People who did Java in school but still come out to look for extra training on Java. All Mark Zuckerberg knows is PHP All Bill gates knows is C and C++ Not all those mixture contablated contraption of conjucted embedable jargon. Confusing the lecturer and the students. The disciplines should be more targeted and the time spent in school slashed into two. Surgeons should master the art of surgery and leave dentistry to dentists. The computer science department should be generalised and computer disciplines targetted. For instance, graphic design should be a complete department on its own. Dont mix it with computer science and engineering. Programming with Java should be a complete course on its own. Computer is an age not a department. Lastly If you knew who i truly am, you would be sorry for mentioning my IQ. I respect your opinion so much though. |
dustydee: Electrical engineers need statistics especially when you want to model the behaviour of traffic in a network or in power systems when you want to determine the demand and many other areas. Its not your work to collect the data. All an engineer needs is a look into the chart provided by a statistician and build his Gadget from that. But in our academic system they want engineers to know statistics, know pure mathematics, know algebra, know Linguistics At the end what you get are jack of all trades who cant near a transformer nor build a circuit. |
fellis:That is exactly what you should be studying for the 12 months. Its only a dunce that cant learn causes and effects of tooth aches and diseases within 24 months. This is the problem with Nigeria. Over generational in the academic system. Let dentists study courses pertaining to dentistry alone. And you'll see it wont take up to 24 months. But here they mix it with all the courses related to medicine. |
cheikh: Lexusgs430Money lending intelligence etc. Go and try so you truly understand what we are saying. One nigger can stand firm in a day and scam you of all your savings, capital, profit and all! |
Time i have to invest in facebook ![]() |
The entire system is a crap. What would someone studying dental medicine spend 6 years in doing? There are only 32 teeth in the mouth! Two years is more than enough. Computer science should be a general course. Programming should be specific, that is Java, VB, etc. Each to be studied for two years each. What is an electrical engineering student doing with Statistics? What is an accountancy student doing with physics and chemistry as regular courses? What is a mechanical engineering student doing with English in final year? The whole system is filled with garbage. |
Buhari may be a good man but he talks too much. He could have made such a good point Without incriminating himself The senate wants to know what he means by "dogs and baboons being soaked in blood"
|
soloqy: So cant you all see that this is a grand scam?He made it very clear that a Bald headed man will break into the net with the help of a tall black man in the first half. There is no guessing here. If he fails it will be easy to catch him. Don't concoct anything. |
@OP hope you are doing it for charity and not expecting the money back? Except for charity too of course ![]() |
i heard nigerians are like ghosts lend little money - they worry you before pay back. Lend big money - you worry them till they dissapear before your very eyes ![]() |
bug24: LMAOOO... where were you when microsoft was looking for designers?Am not sure what you mean, but why tagging my post with this picture? Though i've done something somewhat similar, am not this guy nor do i know him. Secondly not everyone would love to work for microsoft nor any company indeed. Some people think better when there are no restrictions to what they can do. |
where's your office located. U forgot to mention that. If you can pay your designer as much as N500K, lets chat. |
goldenval: No Real Nigeria developer! Hire from outside Nigeria!you are probably locked out in some remote part of the country. |

The so called global banks or big money lenders did not exactly start their business enterprise in a perfect atmosphere like you enumerated above. History of companies in those so called perfect business environments does not wholly bear/confirm your logic. Africa and the rest of the so called developing world need a different "Mind-set" and attitude and are definitely doing so in most successful places like the Gambia, Bangladesh, China, Phillipines, Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana.Money lending and Micro-lending is booming and successful those countries. Maybe Nigeria is not happening because of our special peculiarities of "Get rich" quick mentality and attitude of our lazy, uncreative and un-responsive institutions(banks)/legal system.
