My parents are good but I love my mum the most. On a scale of 1-100, my mum takes 100,my dad takes 45.
I've never seen a woman as great and good as my mother, and she sacrifices, very pure hearted, she wants to see people grow, and she is a very good friend to teenagers/young adults in the streets, they always like my mother and tell her things they wont tell their parents, if you come to our house today, my mother would advice you to buy gift for your wife, go and do your masters or tell you how to google to get a good job. She has helped many people in our street to attend polytechnic, Nce, university and solve many teenage parents fight through her advice.
But she easily get jealoused by people, so she doesn't do deep friendship, and doesn't allow us to have any friends, if she sees you with a friend, you are dead. She has had very bad experience with friends, so when we were young, she highly discourages any form of friendship with people.
My mother would disconvinient herself for the whole family, she's always the last to serve herself in case the food is not enough, if food is not enough, she would drink garri or sleep like that.
When my mother receives salary, we are all happy because it means all of us are rich, because, she would give us out of her money and buy things for us, she would always tell us when she receives salary as if we do the work together.
My mother is not in anyway stingy, and Shes not harsh,and she manages her money very well, she collects about #40,000 lesser than my father,but her money would take her through the month, but my father, his money would have finished before the middle of the month. My daddy buys the foods, and he would refuse to give my mother money for soup and if she wants to give her, it would be #2000. And my mummy would make soup as much as #5,000. And she would still give my daddy the biggest fish and she usually end up not eating any fish because she would save it for my father and children. And my daddy will not say he didn't give her money, he would eat it(the biggest share).
My daddy does not know how to spend money, he doesn't think of tomorrow if he's spending outside or giving people money. He's too social and participatory, he would involve himself in community development, he will be the one to contribute the biggest share, family meetings, he would contribute the biggest, mosque programs, useless different community programs, in all these things, we would be the one to suffer it at home when his money finishes. If my daddy is broke and you dare ask him money, you are dead, just don't ask him money when he's broke. If anything happens to my daddy's family member, my mother will take up the responsibility of taking care of them, but if my mothers family member should visit, my daddy would not contribute a dime, sometimes, he would go out so as not to spend anything for them, but my mother carry his own family on top her head.
I will tell my mother not to borrow my father any money, she will not hear, because I know my daddy will not want to pay back again, and will even turn it into a fight and say, won't he buy food in the house. What I used the money for is for the benefit of all of us, bla bla bla, And my mum would turn to us, reporting, I already told her she should never report anything to me again, if she knows she has pity heart to be borrowing him money.
My mother is very intelligent, she has a great foresight, but my father is a follow follow somebody, there's nothing my mother would tell him that won't come to pass, but he will not listen, so far its what his friend did or his siblings advised him to do. He likes people too much and tend to trust them, while he would not think about what my mother is telling her.
My mother likes to do things the best way, but my father, anyhow way, he would always go against everything my mum wants, for instance, my mother wanted us to go to private schools, but my father put us in the worst public schools, told my mother that, a child that would be brilliant would be brilliant, my mother would fight him, but he would not yield, and that set all of us backward in many ways, because we are all very brilliant, my siblings would win awards in primary schools for an exam in the whole of the town and schools, we were more brilliant that children in private schools, with lesson teachers, but my daddy did not allow them to go to even a good public secondary school, my siblings went to the worst of public secondary schools, where they climb cashew tree, farm and play all day, they were doing local champion though. From there, I got to know that, if you are a genius, with bad secondary school(especially at jss1-3), there's likelihood, your brilliance disappear.
My daddy can compare for Africa, he would compare our house with Mr Salami's house, would tell us how Bola is helping their parents, bla bla bla.
My mother likes to do business/earn money, my daddy would say, thank God for the one he has, (we were very poor o)and that some people does not have where to sleep, and would always make jest of my mother when she fails in a business or when she plans to do a business and wasnt able to. My father would tell her she can plan for Africa, and use mouth to do business, he would advice her to do business that cannot be fruitful.
My mum doesn't get angry often, but once she's angry with us, from morning till night, she would be repeating that thing,sometimes, she would start at 5:00am before and after prayers, but truth is that, you would have done something bad.

My Mum too nice behavior made me to be very cold, as I hate it every time we have visitors, how she would sacrifice her health, money. But I'm starting to be nice now, but I can never be like her, because it is love your neighbour as yourself, not more than yourself. I always tell her that and I still told her that this morning. On Alaafin's religion, are you aware that he reads both the Bible and Quran? Are you aware that he has been on pilgrimage both to Israel and Mecca?

Obasanjo is Christian and he has written that Yorubas are from Mecca. The Awujale that was recorded to have said publicly that Ijebus are from Sudan was a Christian. Ooni of Ife, who has an order of the British Anglican Faith has never disputed the narrations contained in the myths of Ife and nor has he ever disputed with Alaafin on the question of origin, their feud is primarily on heirarchy and not on origin of the race.

Alaafin's religion has no significant bearing.
