GboyegaD: Are we discussing the same issue? The reason for this strike is comparing Federal pay to State pay which makes your position entirely different.
Below is a section of their notice of strike FYINA
GboyegaD: They are never fighting for better facilities but pay. I wonder why they would concern themselves with how much Federal employed doctors earn. Why not protest that private doctors should be well paid?
A solution in my opinion although not the best is to relief them of their jobs. This would help them understand that while they could agitate for a better pay, it should be because they have a justification and not comparing with others since they are not withheld from applying for federal roles.
This is one of the entitlement mentality we suffer.
Please stay informed. Nigeria spends money to train doctors, but is losing them to countries that value them more, including Ghana. Pls stay informed.
flexd99: All these doesn't work in Nigeria Anyways, I hope the fg hears their plea
BTW, Kindly check signature for uk used dell latitude laptops corei3 and corei5 at 45 and 50k respectively
It usually fails because they know that people won't join the conveners. They know that most people are all about their quick personal gains than collective societal struggle.
IamSalt: This may be the longest ASUU strike in history. E go complete Six months next week Thursday and if e continue after then, I comment my reserve.
No cause for control, everything is under alarm.
It's definitely going to be the longest cos the end is not here. Government cannot use ippis as an excuse to cut lecturer's salaries, and all that nans can do is appeal to both sides. They should rather appeal to the government.
Why appeal to a Prof whose salary is now 300k and graduate assistant (i.e. new lecturer) whose salary is now 75k? ? ? A lecturer to receive 75k and all that some people's brains can do is to appeal to both sides?
Is that what their children's lecturers abroad and in Nigeria get paid?
GOFRONT: And Sanusi lamido said lastweek "Gov Elrufai, thank you for the good work you are doing"
It is double standards that we exempt Ortom from the insecurity of Benue because he is "only a governor" but blame el-Rufai for the insecurity in Kaduna because he is "the governor".
Pollosa1: God! At this juncture we don't know who is a bigger failure between Elrufai and Buhari
It is double standards that we exempt Ortom from the insecurity of Benue because he is "only a governor" but blame el-Rufai for the insecurity in Kaduna because he is "the governor".
this shameless old man is now talking about turn by turn. What did you say in 2011 when Jonathan took the turn of the North? You said turn by turn in the name of zoning has ended
ChuckKingston: When I saw this event play out, I realized that you don't need to attend business school or read business oriented books to understand certain basic business strategies.
So from this picture, what lesson can you deduce from this event played out by two business people.
One is wearing a long dress. The other is wearing skirt and blouse
