Hello people, for those who did dropbox recently how long did it take. It's about 10 working days since I did the dropbox and status hasn't changed from "Application Received" since Aug 2nd.
Called customer care and the lady said I would be informed via email when status changes or visa is issued.
My intended travel date is 8 days away.. any ideas please?

Thank you

Hi people! My previous visit to the us I stayed with my sister who no longer lives there (diplomat visa things). I'm applying for renewal and the question about immediate relative pops up. I feel that I should state no but hubby thinks they may view that as a lie and deny based on that or call for interview which I dont have the luxury of time for.

Please advise. Thanks

Hello house,
I dropped my POE transcript about a month ago .
Had my LO over a week ago. Everything was okay , less than 3mins apart , called Uber and left for the hospital . Heartbeat was monitored : I'm sorry baby's getting distressed . Need a C.S done fast . Was already in full labour less than 2 mins serious contractions .
Baby was out : what's going on , can't hear him , they were apparently trying to suck out a lot from him . He had swallowed meconum ( not fresh ) . He started crying , was shown to me and was rushed down to
Congratulations sister! Your baby is alive and well. The bills, God will sort you Out. Explore all options but stay away from Medicaid.
All the best
Hello Nairaland Mamas & Papas!

In the spirit of giving back....
I came into Washington Dulles airport on Tuesday via Turkish Airlines... no fit to fly nor doctor’s report asked. Flew at 34weeks. Flight wasn’t so bad on the first leg because I was lucky to get empty seats to sleep. Istanbul to Washington flight was full and so it was 12hrs of torture and discomfort (no leg room and it was tight). Food wasn’t nice at all but I was compensated with the lovely airhost and air hostesses who gave me bread and butter every time I asked for (as that was the only thing I could enjoy).

Arrived Washington Dulles airport late in the evening. Queue wasn’t long as there were just two flights that landed around the same time. Before I could say Jack, I was in front of the CBP officer.

CBP: Good evening
ME: Good evening Sir (he was an elderly man)
CBP: Can I have your passport please
ME: Yeah sure! (Handed it to him)
CBP: why are you here in the US
ME: i’m here for vacation and childbirth
CBP: and how long will you be here for?
ME: 10 weeks
CBP: do you have any food?
ME: Yes please, I do! I have frozen pap, grounded egusi, grounded Ogbono, garri, pepper (I kept listing and listing until he interrupted...)
CBP: do you have any fresh foods say banana, orange, meat, fish....
ME: oh no...not at all
CBP: ok
CBP: Welcome to America!
ME: Thank you!

And that was how he stamped me in oo. He stamped and wrote “July x6” (has anyone experienced this before?) Just to be double sure, does this mean I was stamped

Congrats! July ×6 means you got in on the 6th.
Did you renew your visa via dròpbox and are you using same hospital? Thanks
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Momo13: 3:08pm On Jul 04, 2018
Hello people..so I have a question or 2
1. I presently work with a multinational that isn't an entity in Nigeria but operate through a distributor here in Nigeria. I have been with them for 5 months. I get paid through the personal account of our HR head and I am not given payslips. My guess is this arrangement stands till I am confirmed.
How can I explain the lodgements in my account asides submitting my offer of employment signed by the same person ?
2. Does it suffice to show this nd explain the same through my statement of account?
In previous applications, I didn't have this issue and I fear this may affect my application adversely.

Gurus and experienced people pls weigh in on this.

Thanks

Hello people.. Please I would like to find out from anyone who recently submitted an application in Lagos, the closest dates for visa application submission. I need my passport back by end of the month latest and not sure if there are dates for submission this week.
Or anyone who knows how I can see appointment dates before I pay for visa application.

Thanks as I await your input

shrekandfiona:
If you haven't done this already, fill the form, attempt to schedule an interview by answering all the questions that come up if qualified for a drop box you'll get the confirmation. Take to Dhl for submission. they dont give kids the 221g form only when it's time to thumbprint.

If you are not renewing, you need to separate her profile from yours. but if you are, I'll suggest you both do the Dropbox.
Thanks for the heads up!

God please give me the strength to leave her behind.
Hello. I was in your shoes in 2016. I travelled with my toddler girl ( few months shy of 3). I later realised it was not such a great decision as she stressed the life out of me especially when my baby was born! It was really tough. And I stayed with family over there.
Few things you need to consider
Where will she stay when you go in to have your baby and more importantly with whom?
How will you cope with a newborn and a toddler, trust me it's not easy.
If you can have your mum or trusted relative take care of her ( esp since your hubby won't be travelling with you). I think she'll be fine.
I'm going for a 3rd missionary journey later in the year.
I will not be traveling with my kids, 4 and 2 years.

They will be fine. angry

Congratulations!
This bill looks great. Did you stay with family? if no, please where did you lodge and how much did accommodation cost?
Did the hospital give you an itemized bill and zero balance? I'd like to send you a pm please.

quote author=deevuu post=66661301]Hi guys!! so ive been a silent follower on this thread and trust me i read through all the pages and picked up plenty useful tips that helped myself and DW before we traveled...POE and even before delivery. We had our baby boy last week!! and it was here in Atlanta (Atlanta Medical Center).
The Hospital fee was $3200 and the doctors fee was $1000 and $50 for each of the six prenatal visits! We are still waiting for our clearance letter for all the bills tho...but im thankful that everything is in order so far. currently we are using south-side medical center pediatrics and each visit cost $60. i just want to thank all the guys sharing useful tips on here and useful experiences...God bless y'all.

I'll share my own poe experience and that of my wife later tho...cuz we traveled on separate dates.
Hello everyone,

Please I'm new here, though i have followed this thread for some time now. I am 24weeks pregnant for the 1st time after 4years and its twins. Based on our reading, we got all the necessary documents and applied for visa. Today was the interview date and we were denied visa. Please we intend to reapply but the next available interview date is May 31st. By this time i will be 34weeks and may not get airline approval to fly with twins. Please see transcript below. Please your help/advice.

Do I reapply?

Is it possible to apply for an earlier interview date and I have made another payment today for visa cos they said they want to increase the fees to 100k?

Do I use an agent to enable me get a close interview date?

VO: Good morning
ME/DW: Good morning.
VO: Passport please (We gave him)
VO: What’s your purpose of travel?
DH: To have our first baby after….. (VO cuts in). Was going to saying “after 4years plus of marriage and medical issues.
VO: Where in the USA?
DH: Houston, Texas
VO: What do you do?

Did you fill out the form at the hospital before you were discharged? Which hospital did you use?

By mail? Is it the BC or SSN?
How did it come by mail. ..tot it's same process of pay and get a printout.
BC in 2 weeks then SSN a week later. I stayed in maryland so I considered it exceptionally fast. Got both in the mailbox i.e. by post.
