I would Like To know if it is possible to book an appointment using my profile or if i have to create another for my daughter.

Hello people, I got a shocker from Naija embassy at DC. They stopped giving booklets to babies. Said they would rather give adults cos of the "scarcity" of booklets.
Option they gave us was to process emergency travel certificate for the newborn.
Please who has used this recently? I read sometimes back here that it is no longer accepted.
I have about 4 days to my travel date..anyone who knows how I can still apply for visa on arrival ( I know..it sounds very ridiculous but I am desperate).
Any insiders pls help a sister!

Plz my people.. I need clarifications, I couldn't access my daughters page again on DS 160 application portal, so I wrote the embassy about it. The response is as attached. I understand that I have to Start another application for her and generate another ID which I have done. But what to do aside printing the application page to take along for interview is what I don't understand considering the clause that states that ID numbers must conform with the ID on the schedule for interview... Plz I need help here.

I think you should log in to your profile.
Change her old DS-160 number to the new one. Print the new confirmation page as well. If you have trouble changing it via that option you can call customer care, they'll get it done.

Don't panic. Some states do not put address on birth certificate. I had my babies in virginia and no address on birth certificate.

Anyone used Delta airlines? Please what was your experience and how is the POE (Atlanta) . Hubby thinks a direct flight will be better cos of long flight hours.

I did. At 38 weeks. 12 hours from Lagos to Atlanta. POE was a breeze. Wasn't asked for previous receipts, asked about how much cash I held and if I declared childbirth at visa renewal interview. My experience overall on delta flight was great. I was allocated a row with 2 empty seats so I was able to lie down and sleep. In flight entertainment was great as well. Above all,Pray to be favoured.

Read a page or 2 backwards. A moniker mentioned wyckoff in Brooklyn. Search the moniker and read up the details of her experience.

I doubt anyone would pick issues with her for going on a VALID visa. It was the smart thing to do at 35 weeks.
Only hitch is you did not declare at POE that you came in for childbirth even though you're obviously pregnant.
You should have mentioned it even though you were not asked.

I travelled with Delta airlines at 38 weeks.No restrictions on gestation age. I wasn't asked for fit to fly either.

Please note, I have been to the US several times and I have never committed any crime Ooo I had also written to the embassy of my plans and got a reply from them (check my previous post) Before my mums interview.
I renewed my visa when I was not pregnant via interview cos my previous visa wasn’t issued in Nigeria so I didn’t qualify for drop box, My first baby was born in US, I paid all my bills and have all receipts , itemized bill and Zero balance letters, so I came clean in everything guys.
I had way above 20k dols for the trip in my statement.

I was invited in for questioning on the day of my mums interview after I dropped her off, she had already been given the white paper and asked to come and call me I don’t know who that VO went to consult that changed everything by the time I got in, while I was with her she kept going in an coming out, infact make I stop here, I don’t want to break down again, am putting the past behind me.

My Advice:
Stay away from cheap hospitals, HNWMC has a red flag with US VO, the miracle moment package given to self pay patients has something to do with insurance, read in between the lines on the document usually sent. They have a list of hospitals with red

Congrats! Please did they raise any eye brows about any discount received by the hospital? I went for follow up and the VO kept saying he must see itemized bill but itemized bill I have has a huge discount. Hope its not an issue and no risk of it being said that the discount was borne by tax payers.

No they didn't raise eyebrows. I showed the letter that states package price for self pay and told her the bill was prepaid else I would not have been eligible.

Hello people.. I went for a follow up interview at the Lagos embassy yesterday. Visa was approved.

Not many questions were asked but all my documents were checked including itemized bills.
The rate of refusal was very intimidating..i was there for over an hour and only about 2 or 3 visas were approved! Blue papers were flying all over.

My advice to returning moms please stay away from hospitals that dont itemize services and also low priced ones.

I have 4 children, 3 are US citizens and I had the first in Nigeria. I came back from my last missionary journey in Jan. My husband wanted alone time with me and asked we renewed our visa. I applied for Dropbox for just I and my husband and we got invited for 221g interview. Today was the interview and here is my transcript:
Vo: you were in the US in 2017
Me: Yes
Vo: how long did you stay
Vo: 3months, and my husband 3weeks
Vo: why
Me: I went to have my babies
Vo:how many children dof you have
Me: 4, and 3 in the states. The last one were twins
Vo: let me see your receipts
I handed them over and she took like 10mins going through them then types for long then says
Vo: you paid a total of what for your twin children?
Me: I had then in Houston northwest and I paid a total of 8650 for hospital n doctor Dr xydas and 1500 for pediatrician.
Vo: for a CSC?
Me: Yes.
Vo: No that is not possible (emphatically ) you had twins with a CS n paid that amount. I am sorry you do not qualify for a visa.
Me: but I paid all my bills and all the receipts are there
Vo: thank you for keeping good records but you didn't pay all your bills. Cs in the US cost 20-30k dollars n you had twins. Not possible to pay this. I am sorry

Hi. I had same experience though my previous visa was a medical visa.
This is what I did.. I called the US travel docs customer service agents and told them I was confused on what next to do. They told me to scan the 221g letter and my passport data page after which they responded they had escalated the case.
Today I was asked to schedule a follow up interview which I have done.

You could try that but be discrete.

Just log into your cgifederal profile and there would be an automatic pop up asking you to select an appointment date for your follow up interview. there, you would see available dates and would be able to select. What exactly was on the form given to you?

Hello Kemmy.. Thanks for your response. I did log in but there wasn't a pop up.
Just the regular new application/ schedule appointment. Also on the form nothing was checked of the 3 boxes. Just date and my surname written in biro.

Hello..I had exactly same issue. Were you sent a mail in addition telling you specifically to schedule a follow up interview? Nothing was checked on my form which was in my passport and no mail either. My visa status reads administrative processing.. I called customer care to enquire and they asked me to scan my passprt page and the letter.

Please who knows what dates are available for the follow up category sef.. I dont know how to check for that.
I will appreciate quick responses from gurus here as my EDD is next month. Thanks

My husband and I were granted B1/B2 visitors visa in 2016 and in 2017 I gave birth in the US although we wrote to the embassy informing them of the change of plans. We paid all our bills and we have our zero balance.

We sent our passport via Dropbox for our visa renewal but we were asked to come for an interview. No reason was ticked on the form.

We are about to schedule our appointment, has anybody experienced this. Please advise Thanks.
