I would have liked to hear how Ava convinced the chopper guy to take her away that would've been the actual test for me,since she was tailored to explore caleb's weakness.
Btw I think Caleb will starve to death.

What does it really mean to be human? Does our nature boil down to love and manipulation? She passed the Turing test of course, but it's how she passed it, how it proved the flaw in using ourselves as a unit of measurement. It captured the futility of playing God and also the inevitability, cos that's where we're headed.
The ending is also ambigous and open to interpretation; did she abandon him to his death or leave him a way out through the power shutdown he activated in his last scene. I appreciate that window the director left open, where you make up your own mind about the ending. Like Birdman, the ending elevated the film.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Guess you didn't but hey,different strokes

Wait a second, it's (YT video) missing the reaction video from MAOS, plus for those who have watched Dirty Dancing, the woman who played Baby is Jennifer Grey AKA Gregg's wife. Anywho, the MAOS reaction video has Gregg dressed as Carter crying while the last AC video is playing on a tablet. That was actually the first video I watched, so I was confused as hell, while laughing my ass off. Final random tidbit - the song that Atwell & D'arcy lip synced to and then showed the video to Bennet, is actually a song that Bennet did when she was a singer.

Watching A Most Violent Year.....really good movie. Don't know why it took me so long to get to it. Heads up...don't go expecting violent action cos of the title. It's more like a drama, an emotional crime drama

It looks like it's a day for teases. Daredevil facebook account posted another frickin 2-in-1 tease. The chainsaw, the DD suit sketch and the words...MP
Now the sketch looks like it's for a new DD suit but of course he's getting a new suit. What drew my attention was the saw. That's the signature weapon of Gladiator who also goes by the initials, yeah you guessed it, MP...
...and MP stands for Melvin Potter, the guy in season 1 who...SPOILERS for season 1.... made Fisk's suits with light armour. Yup the same guy who's not quite right in the head and kicked DD's ass, well kinda, and who finally agreed to make DD's suit after getting a promise regarding Betsy. Apparently Fisk was using Betsy, whoever she is, to blackmail Potter, but we don't care about that, alll we care about is Potter makes suits for people. Why wouldn't he make a suit of armour for himself? Well he's not that dumb, forgive the pun. There's actually a design in his shop when DD breaks in before their fight. It resembles the suit he dons as the villain, Gladiator in the comics(that's the 2nd pic)
So are they messing with us or are we really getting the Gladiator himself in season 2? That's a lot of villains if you're counting Bullseye, The Hand, not to mention Elektra and Punisher. Makes sense cos.....SPOILERS....Fisk is in prison and a power vacuum exists. Whatever they should just bring on season 2
In related news Jessica Jones is now gonna be out in Dec which is a long time. That's 5 months without any MCU content. Meanwhile....anyone else seen Antman yet?

The Russo brothers are teasing a new spidey costume for Civil War via their twitter account. From the pics it's looking like the classic red and black suit. Everyone's gotten used to the red and blue that he wears now but maybe it's an initial design. Speculation is that Peter Parker begins with a homemade suit before getting an upgrade from Tony Stark complete with web shooters. That would be so cool!
Anyway we only have to wait for a month or so till D23 when Marvel will probably unveil the costume, hopefully with a trailer for Civil War

Infinity War is divided into parts 1 & 2, confirmed. A movie that big with possibly a teamup between the Guardians and Avengers, plus new additions of Dr Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant Man...maybe Inhumans.....someone has to die bro, it's almost certain. Imagine part 1 ending with Thanos getting hold of all the Infinity Stones + Gauntlet and wiping out half of the team. That would show just how badass he is. It would also give space for the new members to join cos i honestly can't see them adding all the new guys with the old ones around. At the end of AoU, they had to send Hulk, Thor, Iron Man & Hawkeye away. I'm guessing that those will be the guys who come back to save the day, that is Hulk and Thor, after the team gets their asses handed to them

Whedon also said before the movie came out that whoever died in AoU would stay dead. That Coulson coming back was the idea of the Agents of Shield crew, not his, which is why they don't even mention it in AoU. Maybe with time Coulson's resurrection will be made official in the movies, but for Quick there's no hope. He's dead man *sobs*

Whedon shattered my belief. I always thought the good guys could never drop. The way it's looking, more heroes are going to die. That makes it worse, knowing Quicksilver's death is only the beginning

Quicksilver is not on Flash's level but he should still be fast enough to dodge a few bullets. Yet he got hit.Maybe it's cos he really didn't "see that coming". Maybe he was tired like you said or cos the studio guys just decided he had to die. Maybe it's cos Ultron was behind that gun and calculated his trajectory, just like how Gorilla Grodd hit Flash by calculating his movement in that episode i watched....maybe i'm just overanalysing cos i''m heartbroken he's dead and never coming back.

Thanks for staying spoiler free. Last question, is it better than Age of Ultron?

So, yup there were two after credits. A mid credit scene that hinted on the continuation/creation of a character. The second is about the discovery of another character.

Anywho, it wasn't bad, you can definitely feel Edgar Wright's (the former director) touch and it felt a bit more dramatic than the other MCU films. Plus, it does have its comedic moments especially when Michael Peña's character gives his succinct tips. The third act's fight scenes were brilliant - the combo of shrinking and growing was quite entertaining with some tongue in cheek moments - and absurd - who the hell shoots those with a gun, while they're in that?! We will blame it on the excuse we were given earlier...

Plus, the opening scene had one slightly weird moment - they used CGI to make an old person look younger and practical effects to age a young person older. Oh and someone makes a rather awesome cameo...

All in all, it wasn't a train wreck, maybe not as crowd pleasing as GotG, or as in your face as Iron Man, but still better than Thor*. We've gotten a bit used to Marvel giving us action and a punchline every 3.5s, but sometimes a change of pace is good. Plus, we get another strong female character in Evangaline Lilly's Hope Pym, who I hope gets more to do in the future. Oh and please...girl we need to talk about that hair, I'm not the most fashionably conscious woman, but that hair doesn't really suit your face...

*Although, some folks will probably consider A-M as the weakest MCU film. I'm not going to lie, there were times I kinda thought the film was the worst in the MCU. I felt like I was almost watching another film (maybe it's the Edgar Wright effect). I liked Paul Rudd in this and A-M could pull a Captain America 2 with his sequel/next appearance and become a hot MCU property.

Thanks for the review. I'm just relieved to hear it's not total crap. Of all the films they had lined up, this one had to most potential to suck, and if it didn't things can only get better.
Some questions though.....how was the villain? Was he as terrible as Mandarin/Whiplash/Malekith or as good as Winter Soldier/Loki?
Does Antman become Giantman in it? Is it funnier than Gotg? What makes you think we'll get a sequel?

Elodie Yung. That's our Elektra. I know absolutely nothing about her except that she looks -exactly!- like Elektra looks in the comics. Honestly Marvel really got this spot on, at least in looks. All we can do is hope she can act as well
