A leaked Spiderman licensing agreement has revealed the restrictions Marvel has placed on the potrayal of the character.
So no Miles Morales folks, too bad. Now we now Peter Parker has to be dull and boring. Perfect! . undecided.

this is one series i'll never read again even though i enjoyed it
kehllus is a sick bastard.
True, i can't wait to finish. Had enough misery to last me a while. The worst part is i can even understand where Kehllus' perspective. When all that matters to you is the shortest way, morality becomes a luxury. As Cnaiur says there is no honour, only advantage.
SIRcumalot, would you call Kellhus a hero, anti-hero or villain? I honestly don't know what to call him. Villain seems to regular for him

reading The Thousandfold Thought by Scott Bakker, Page 503. Great concept, really good series. It's very depressing though, the good guys don't get breaks ever but keep getting screwed over, just like Game of Thrones. It's painful watching your heroes suffer

Of all the theories it seems that the most likely is that Loki is working for Thanos. Afterall Loki got the Sceptre/Mind Stone from Thanos' right hand man in the Avengers and Loki now rules in Asgard.
What i can't figure out is this...Who is Star-Lord's father?

Never seen Scandal. Now I'm sure I won't be seeing it.

Started with Dare Devil yesterday (finally) and after the first episode almost put me to sleep midway, the second isn't very inviting now.
Funny enough the 1st episode is the weakest. After that it gets better, and bloodier

Most series have that effect the longer they run. The worst offenders for me are Supernatural and Smallville

Now you've reminded me of all the heartbreaking deaths in Season 1. I can usually predict who will die in a movie/series but i was taken totally by suprise at least 4 times. Damn! I wish they kept some of them alive at least.

Haha i literally rushed to post it bro, was so happy! Bleep Jason man, Marvel will cast someone better . That's how everyone wanted Tom Hardy for Punisher then Marvel gave us this guy and we're ecstatic. Oh and Elektra will not suck, i guarantee it. All the female characters in season 1 had great performances, Madame Gao, Vanessa, Karen, Night Nurse...so i'm not worried. They'll do her justice

Why not? It uses nanomachines so the technology is sound. Remember he didh't just jump to it, he's been making small improvements to his armour and adding designs based on his friends and foes. He got the Hulkbuster armour from observing the Hulk, Destroyer armour from Asgard, Adamantium and so on. When the Mandarin took over his suit he knew he had to find a way to make his suit a part of him and he got the clue from the Extremis virus. Right now the bleeding edge is inert cos he lost extremis, reading between the lines he became too powerful and the writers had to find a way to depower him, but the next step has already been taken-he is Iron Man now, down to his bones and no one can take it away from him even when he drops the title and gives the suit away

This is the most stupid question I have seen so far on Nairaland.
Superheros can't just be judged only on strength and abilities, if what makes a superhero was based on that alone, then it will be very childish.

Mind you, the fact that Batman does not have super strength like Superman or Thor does not mean he is weak, I can say that Batman is very strong. He will likely defeat Hawkeye and Black widow on one to one combat, he should be able to beat Flash and Green Arrow too (only that Flash is ern too fast?) and will hold his own against Green Lantern and Hawkgirl.
The real nerd among all the Superheros is Ironman, without the suit, he is very weak compared to the rest.
You don't know Stark dude, he's currently one of the most powerful heroes with his new Bleeding edge armour. This suit is kept under his skin in his bones, controlled by his thoughts, made up of nanotech, can transform into any type of superstructure, is invulnerable and self-healing. He's beaten Red Hulk, Thor....Stark is no longer the man in the suit, he is the suit now, he's the literal Iron Man.

I barely read comics as a kid, and I don't have any inclination to them anymore. I know some people here are really into comics.

So I was wondering if there's a comic about the upcoming Ant-Man film? If so, how good is it? Does it make sense? Is it entertaining and exciting?
The name sounds weird to me, and it doesn't cause any curioisty or zeal in me to see the movie.
It kinda reminds me of that Sandman character in Spiderman III (staring Tobey Maguire). I always thought that was a really silly character.
And now Ant-man? Ants? Really?
I know I'll still watch it, as it's part of the MCU that I love, but still...

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I get where you're coming from, Ant-Man can seem weird if you're not familiar with the character. The only Ant-man comic i've read apart from where he appears in the Avengers issues is Irredeemeable Ant-man which was pretty sick and fun.
They're basically 3 guys who have used the Ant-Man costume...Pym,Lang & O'Grady. Hank Pym is the original, one of the founding members of the Avengers and one of those brilliant-scientist-whose-invention/mistake-grants-him-superpowers types...like Bruce Banner & Tony Stark his greatest asset is his mind. Scott Lang's a con artist/thief who donned the costume for family reasons. Eric O'Grady was someone who didn't deserve the suit, though he came good in the end i was glad when they killed him off.
Ant-man's abilities make him useful, on the Avengers & FF teams he usually plays the role of the ITK, always in the know and always aggravating. He usually gets them into and outta the tights spots. The pym particles allow him to shrink and increase in size...Ant-man/Giant-man combo. He's smart & resourceful, cos he's constantly underestimated you don't usually see him coming, he could take out any superhero from the inside, being miniature does have it's uses. Plus he has an army of ants he can control. I've always liked Antman cos he's never a straightforward typical hero, as Pym/Lang/O'grady he's an alcoholic, addict, wife-beater, thief, traitor, murderer....there's almost no line he hasn't crossed. So he's a psychologically complex and unstable character. I always hoped the movie would focus on Pym but it seems it'll focus instead on Lang with Pym as a mentor. Lang is more likable than the other iterations of ant-man so i guess that's why. So i think it'll be a fun, thrills typa movie

It does, they're just not noisy about it. Not sure if it's the most beautiful musical ever, but it's definitely a contender. Lost count of the number of times i've rewatched it and it gets better with each viewing

It is a bummer that Nick Fury won't appear in Civil War. His character is so important that him not showing up would be hard to explain, what could he possibly be doing that he won't show up.

Star-Lord is just delusional if he thinks he can take on Cap even with rocket's help, He may be the space version of the guy but he is not even close in skill or anything to the Captain.
Tbf to Star-Lord he has access to technology no one on earth has seen. With his Jet Boots & Element Guns, he could hide behind a tree and take Cap from behind cheesy. If it comes down to hand-to-hand fighting though, he's dead. Rocket or no Rocket
Which begs the question, who would win a fight between the new Avengers and The Guardians? I'm thinking Avengers. Vision alone should be enough
TV/MoviesRe: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 1:40pm On Jun 06, 2015
Samuel L. Jackson has confirmed Nick Fury will not be appearing in Captain America: Civil War. Good idea as i don't know how he's expected to choose a side without breaking his heart in two. Chris Pratt thinks Star-Lord can beat Cap with the help of Rocket. I don't know about that, sounds like wishful thinking.
New Antman TV spot as well.

I loved Gambit in the Xmen cartoons. If they could pull off a similar characterization on the big screen it won't be so bad.
Granted but there is cause for worry. The movie doesn't even have a director, no script, no marketing, nothing

Exactly. Yahaya grabbed a goal and assist. I'll understand if Success is injured but it doesn't make sense benching our biggest goal threat after one game
