cao: I would certainly rank her above all plain humans (empowered ones like Inhumans or genetically modified ones really depends on their abilities. Eg Scarlet Witch, she can defy the laws of physics and plays with your mind - doubt is a strong weapon). Tony Stark's suit is his second skin & he's a genius, so he could actually make a solid plan, when he isn't acting too much like a douche. Drax is a hothead, he's punch first, ask questions never. That stunt he pulled with Ronan was class A case for bat s*** stupidity, his stock plummeted with immediate effect.
As much as Captain America is one of my favourite Avengers in the MCU (the other being Black Widow), I honestly I'm sometimes confused with his powers - I always assumed he was at the peak of the human condition with a shield that absorbs all kinds of pressure, force & vibrations, but the way he fights sometimes just screams superhuman. Plus, let's be frank Cap would actually not survive without his shield in the MCU. Forget the comics - I own a limited run of Steve Rogers comics were he was skinny again and actually won all his fights...sometimes writers really love their God complex...
Plus, folks forget that Winter Soldier has one robotic arm, not a robotic body. Gamora's entire body has been enhanced by cybernetics, y'all should pause the police scene that lists her abilities and rewatch the scene when she gets electrocuted by Nebula and see the X-Ray effect on her body. WS's arm gave way to one of BW's tiny electric discs, Gamora continued her fight while being electrocuted. Hmm solid points. Drax isn't dumb though, that was vengeance talking and they weren't a team yet, so he was carrying out his plan. Rogers is confusing, the guys he has gone toe to toe with, there's no way he isn't superhuman at this point. Same serum Banner modified with gamma radiation so he's definitely more than the man behind the shield. Winter Soldier has the potential to be better than Cap and he's a better marksman. I'm curious about how a fight between Gamora and Scarlet witch would play out. Would SW's mind thing work on an alien? Cos if it doesn't Gamora could likely win and Scarlet could drop in the rankings |

SIRcumalot: Say it ends differently he moves up the list ? It not only that you have hawkeye above black widow. I may be scraping the barrel hear but what about thunder, thunder can mess ultron up na Yes, if it had ended differently he would have been ranked higher. Hawkeye can do whatever Black Widow can plus the arrow. Thunder and lightening might hurt him but only if Mjolnir is in play. He did ****** it, didn't he? |

What did you think about the 2nd book ? And why can't Valien read I missed that part.
Currently reading the shock doctrine by Naomi klein They are plenty my brother. If i tell you i still haven't read Wheel of Time, Shannara, Inheritance cycle or Night Angel you wouldn't believe me. Can't remember the reason, i think it's his upbringing cos his mother didn't get the chance to teach him and the Order didn't encourage it. If i'm not mistaken Dahrena's teaching him some letters in book two. Tower lord was great but i prefer Blood song 1 Like |

cao: Err...DProDG, Gamora is a genetically modified alien, who was turned into a killing machine who was also part responsible for mass genocide of Xandorians. Placing her above a modified raccoon, but below several humans is a travesty. Last time I checked, those humans didn't have superhuman strength, cybernetics and accelerated healing. She is able to withstand an enormous electric shock, she fought against Groot & made him armless, she held her own against Drax and certainly thinks ahead better than he does. Yeah yeah, we don't really know yet StarLord's true potential - with him being half-human, but we certainly know that the aliens usually outclass the humans in the MCU. So would you rank Gamora above all the humans? Drax gets no love from anyone, wny? |

SIRcumalot: Your ranking is very funny I don't think you care that much aside the top three or else quicksilver won't be that low I still think thor is the strongest. I see all the arguments for why Vision is stronger but my money is still on thor in a fight. Quicksilver got mucked up pretty bad by the bad guy and that brings him down the list. The end is all that matters if you know what i mean. As for Vision, i don't see what Thor could hit him with since he can phase through anything. Plus Vision can cancel out Mjoljnir |

DProDG: AoU SPOILER alert!!!
I think the fact the this Vision has a vibranium self-healing body makes him literally indestructible plus the fact that he's got a damn gem in his head, so yeah, he should be the most powerful avenger(especially since they've changed most of the team).
My ranking will be similar but really can't put Cap above Ironman and have War Machine that is almost Ironman's parallel that low. Also, Quicksilver really kicked a##(language!). I haven't seen Quake in action nor read her comics so can't tell. You also kinda forgot the whole GOTG crew(everyone kinda does lol).
Vision
Thor
Hulk
Scarlet Witch
Groot
Iron Man
War Machine
Quicksilver
Drax
Captain America
Winter Soldier
Falcon
Starlord
Daredevil
Hawkeye
Black Widow
Gamora
Rocket Captain America approves of your use of language! How on earth did i forget the Guardians? War machine keeps losing his armour, i don't really rate him. Quake is really powerful, there are some others from AoS i can't rememer now. If i'm revising, no way Falcon ranks above Daredevil |

DProDG: Rather than do something productive, I spent the night watching a ripped version of AoU(I just couldn't resist anymore) and words can't explain my nerdgasm!
Was awesome as expected. The only downside is that it seemed like they had to cram everything into a 2 hour time frame so the story wasn't really fleshed out. The action and comic relief made up for that though.
By the way, what happens when you put mjolnir in an elevator? Mjolnir's enchantment is funny, it behaves like a normal hammer would sometimes, yet other times it doesn't obey the normal laws of physics. In an elevator, i guess it would be carried up and down like it should. Just like how the helicarrier was able to carry it in Avengers. An elevator is definitely worthy |

After watching AoU again, i reached the conclusion that Vision is now the most powerful superhero in the MCU. I know feige said some months ago that Captain Marvel would be the strongest but i don't know how that's going to work out, and there's still Dr Strange.. Vision is so powerful i think he could take both Hulk and Thor easily in a fight. Those two were the ones i considered the strongest but that has all changed. If i were to do a power ranking of all the superhetoes in the MCU, it would look something like this; Vision
Thor
Hulk
Scarlet Witch
Captain America
Iron Man
Quake
Winter Soldier
Hawkeye
War Machine
Black Widow
Falcon
Quicksilver
Daredevil
I can't rank Ant Man, Black Panther, Dr Strange, Captain America, Inhumans, Spiderman, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage because their films haven't come out yet. I can't use the comics either cos they maybe over/underpowered in the movies. So we'll wait and see. I suspect Captain Marvel, Dr Strange and Black Bolt will end up very high in the power rankings. Thoughts? Who would you rank as the most powerful MCU superhero? |

I can also argue that the only way to objectively measure a superhero's popularity is by using the merchandise sales. After all the most popular will definitely sell the most comics, movies, toys, games and books yes? Well that title goes to Spiderman, handsdown. He sells more comics, games and movies than Superman and Batman combined . Therefore he is the no 1. The gap isn't even small http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/KingPatel/news/?a=111109

cao: I personally prefer Agent Carter to AoS, Peggy's fighting is brutal - she will beat you with any and everything she can use. I know some folks got tired of the sexism (against Peggy), they complained it was too heavy handed, but that was the truth of the matter then (and even now, but that's another story). Since AC is a shorter series, the story's tighter and there are no filler episodes. Thanks a lot cao |

TV/Movies › Re: Is MARVEL Better Than DC by moneyallowed(m): 1:19pm On May 10, 2015 |
Dragonking: DC is better than marvel, go to Google or YouTube and type top 10 superheroes. Number 1-5 are mostly DC characters.. Also, type top 10 supervillain, number 1-5 are mostly DC characters.
This signifies that DC characters are the best superheroes and supervillains. There is really no such thing as top 10 superheroes. What you're more likely to find is top 10 most popular, most powerful....you get the idea. Those lists that usually compile a top 10 settle on popularity as the matrix and your assertion therefore is wrong. Most if not all lists have Superman & Batman as the only DC characters in the top 5 with the other 3 spots going to Marvel. Same thing goes for Supervillains. So using that arguement, Marvel is better. Or we can go the other way and check top 10 worst superheroes/supervillains if you want If the OP really wants an objective assessment, he has to be more specific. I'm just flattered that comic book companies like DC & Marvel are now important enough to get their own "Girls is cooler than boys" thread |

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/437967-marvel-studios-reveals-captain-america-civil-war-synopsis-confirms-castToday Marvel confirmed the cast of Captain America :Civil War. The big news is that two major guys have been added- Antman & General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. Ross has been an enemy of Hulk since the Incredible Hulk ,so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. In other news, Hugh Jackman has confirmed he will hang up his claws and will no longer play Wolverine after 2017. It is a sad sad day for humanity lol, Wolverine is always Hugh Jackman in my mind. When he goes i feel they should just retire the character |

Daredevil news...Well Charlie Cox figures season 2 will introduce Elektra, Bullseye and Punisher.....speaking about Punisher, Tom Hardy says he wants to play him. I don't see that happening unless Punisher gets his own movie. Most likely he'll appear in the series and that rules him out. Civil War news.....well Sharon Carter from CA:WS is joining the party. Seems like she's going to be on Cap's side. Martin Freeman has been cast in an unknown role, probably a civilian or government official. Ant man has a new poster. Oh and some promo art for Civil War has surfaced...Cap gets a new outfit while Iron man has a suit that looks a bit like the Bleeding Edge armour from the comics. Now this is important because that armour's made from improvement he made to the Extremis virus, and we saw Extremis with the bad guys in Iron Man 3. Really don't know how they're going to make it work because the nanotechnology required to make him mentally create the armour from his body cells hasn't been introduced yet. Oh and AoU continues it's box office success, currently sitting at 700 million globally. It's anybody's guess how much money it'll make. I think it'll end up around 1.5 billion

cao: Unlike most MCU fans I kept the AoU trailers at a minimum, I watched the strings trailer and the next two trailers, so I didn't really spoil anything for myself. I had no clue about the Hammer scene at the end of the party, but I certainly liked how the other Mjolnir scene ended. Seriously, sometimes it's best not to watch any trailers at all - it worked for me with Serenity and a variety of other films that I simply watched 'cause I was in the cinema*.
*Or in the case of Iron Sky, it was the secret film in my first comic book convention, that one was a special kind of weird - tongue firmly in cheek film with Nazis in space. So true. It's funny how we judge a movie based on a 2 minute trailer, but it is what is is. For AoU, i feel there was too much marketing. I'm jealous of your ability to resist temptation. On my part the spirit is willing, but the flesh is very very weak |

Wow! Just saw Avengers: Age of Ultron and my head is still buzzing. I can honestly say this a better film than Avengers. This has the bestaction of any superhero movie! Handsdown. It's more complex than Avengers, more backstory;we see their past, understand their lives and motivations. What i love the most is unlike most of these kind of movies where the world is about to end and yet it's only America that gets saved, or New york, like the rest of the world doesn't matter, unlike that this was actually the whole world getting saved. In Avengers Hawkeye looked super useles at times, here he was the MAIN guy. Well that's debatable cos Vision was great. And Black widow. And Scarlet witch! That chick is the bomb, Thor, Cap & Iron Man chilled for this one i guess they wanted the newbies to show themselves. I was almost pityng the villain Ultron but he proved a match, almost. Ultron was just ...,weird. They cleverly made him in the image of his creator, in the comics he was this disturbed sadistic wicked robot just like his "father", but here he is more like his new "father" - selfish, funny, intelligent and just plain annoying. I liked Ultron. He isn't usual I-will-kill-you bad guy. He was more I-am-doing-you-a-favour-by-killing-you. If i have any omplaints, it's that it's too short! Ultron should have gotten more screen time to shine and several plots were just cut abruptly. Minor complaints though, i enjoyed it and i'm watching this again I have a feeling that Marvel fans will enjoy this the most; so many comic book references and hidden meanings that most won't get. The post -credits scene was simple but powerful. Shit's about to get real! Some advice; watch this on the biggest screen possible. If you can get to a cinema do, if you can't get the highest video quality you can find. |

cao: Hooked on a feeling, I'm high on believing... This is one hell of an entertaining film! This was the MCU's we-don't-give-a-damn-if-you-don't-know-these-guys-but-we-guarantee-you'll-love-them moment, they proved they could turn an obscure franchise into gold. This a 100% popcorn film with all the works. I remember the first time I watched it in the cinema & Quill was dancing to "Come and Get Your Love", I knew I was in for a good time. It might not be the best film, but it's certainly one of the most entertaining films of 2014. The soundrack! That was one of the best ever opening sequences in movie history. Can't wait for part 2! |
