decepticos: yes but comics don't target kids no more, have u seen d boobs on the female characters, e.g Rouge and Power girlthe bosoms omg....heavenly ![]() |
ERTHAENIGMA: bro,the change only applies to the comics. Chris hemswort still has 3 films on his contractyeah I know. that's why they'll have to revert before then, so the comic & cinema universes match . |
Bawss1: Seems people aren't bothered much with Steve Rogers giving up the Captain America mantle - or should I say shield - to his ally Sam Wilson AKA the Falcon. They've been together for years and the fans have had time to get used to the idea. It's not so weird as it seems, it's like Bucky Barnes taking over Captain America's mantle or James Rhodes taking over Iron Man's. |
Oahray: Thor the marvel character exists because there is a mythological Thor. If you are going to be original, be original. But if you are going to adapt a storyline, stay true to the basic building blocks. You nailed it mate; that's the condition. no matter how they wanna spin it, it HAS to make sense. Guess we'll see just how creative that "creative team" really is. jeez I forgot.....Wolverine is dying too....so much to look forward to in comics this year! |
Csami: My favorite marvel character will soon become a woman, GREAT!no one seems to relate to Hulk?? nigga puhleese! check out Planet Hulk sometime.....there's Red, blue etc & the fans sezly love it. The campaign for the next Hulk movie to be a Planet Hulk movie gained so much ground until Ruffalo pissed on the idea ( such a douche) |
it'll be funny referring to a woman as "Thor Odinson". That aside tho, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Marvel are obviously exploring how to make the best use of their comic properties; they're also making Captain America black - Sam Wilson "Falcon" takes the mantle. Whether or not this move backfires I don't see it doing any lasting damage. Thor'll definitely be back with balls by 2018 @ least. |
The Red Knight- Miles Cameron....final page...awesome debut for a writer |
Guy only boko haram can cure your crase. You need to spend a week with them. maybe then you'll get some sense. |
JEITO: Still waiting to see fans of heavy metal, electronic, trance and hard rock musicBros we plenty nau.all these soft folks can get a train if they want, but those who know go hard |
Rock all the way....preferably Metal or Punk |
tuffgongjo: .u are right about been to your opinion, but can ask u this question, are u into Literature?Oh yes. However I believe there's Good literature & bad literature- I enjoy the former & either avoid or tolerate the latter. did I give the impression I'm not into literature? |
tuffgongjo: .u were making sense till u said Ngozi is over rated. It's just my opinion guys, maybe wrong or right but still stand by it. never said she isn't good, only not exceptional. hey but what do i know eh? she's the one with the awards after all about those awards....am I the only one who downloaded a book cos it won a literary award only to fall asleep on the 1st chapter? dunno what criteria they use but I'm sure boring must be one of them. think they intentionally skip the more beloved books/authors & go for the lesser known ones cos they have this subjective idea of what "literature" is supposed to be. |
I have this theory there's a character GRRM does not dare kill cos he knows the backlash from fans would be worse than 9/11. Long live The Imp! |
Watching Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist. #teamryu |
Read through a lot of comments here & can't help feeling we're skirting the real issue. First my unbiased opinion. Do doctors have the right to go on strike? Of course. They have a union, unions go on strike all the time. In fact all health care providers in Nigeria have resorted to that one too many times. Do doctors have a legitimate reason to go on strike? Well in this country any reason is legitimate. Even if it's a simple ego tussle with your counterpart. As far as industrial actions go, this has to count as one of the stupidest. All that talk of improved healthcare for the populace is just "wash". They put it there to make it look good. Bottom line is both unions want better conditions for their workers, but hey that's what unions are for right? The two things that could actually swing this in JOHESU's favour - public opinion & legal backing- seem to be lacking. The average Nigerian is fairly ignorant of the facts of the dispute. All people know is Doctors are going on strike cos that is what affects them at the end of the day. Plus while the existing act is in place NMA can point to it all day long. Little wonder they're pushing for the amendment in the National Assembly. For once the FG can sit back & chill while NMA & JOHESU beat each other senseless. Watching two unions that are supposed to complement each other resort to this sort of behavior is plain disgusting. At the end of the day, the Presidency will simply cut a deal with one of them at the expense of national healthcare. Now my very biased opinion on the matter; NMA has messed up big time. Doctors ought to be agents of harmony in the health sector and not the sticking point. The fact that all the other disciplines are united against them suggests they have grave faults. JOHESU should adhere to global best practices & not make Nigeria more of a laughing stock than it already is. I don't want to start explaining to a foreigner why Nigeria has Clinical Consultants in Teaching Hospitals that aren't doctors. The present state isn't that good and I shudder to think of what it'll be like with the nurses, lab scientists, etc in charge. |
horbeat: Wao! Great avid readers here. Am so happy to meet you guys, and see a lot of books you all are reading, but I am disappointed that many books mentioned here are mostly non Nigerian author or even African author. I marvelled at this, is it that we don't have good writers in Nigeria or there work don't worth reading, or we are not aware of Nigeria writers? I think the problem is that we all are deceived by imported idea and philosophy.Guy go siddon jare......if most people don't bother with your African fiction then there's a reason don't you think?I'm not saying Western literature is all that either......Fifty Shades of Grey & The Da vinci Code exist after all, but i'm saying i get more reward for my time when i pick a book that doesn't scream Mother Africa on the cover. When they stop hyping average authors like Chimamanda & promote genuine talent maybe we'll reconsider. Till then happy reading The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born |

Cold blooded:a Try Fevre Dream by George R.R. Martin. It's a refreshingly different kind of vampire novel. |
