ogugua88: Ahn ahn. It was a season opener na. Do you expect all the action to be in one episode? The Big Spot accident and Rick being lured was enough suspense. It laid the ground for the episodes to come. Like ogagusps3 said, it's a disease, and after 1-2 seasonings of knowing this, we're finally seeing the effects apart from being victim of a scratch, bite, or savage feast.

In terms of action or pace, the episode was no different than openers for seasons 2 and 3.

I agree that all things considered the premiere was not bad. But this premier cant compare to that of season 2 and particularly season 3. Season 2's premiere had some TWD classic moments. Even more so for season 3's premiere which was truly action packed.

Remove individual awards, popularity, hype e.t.c. Purely ability wise, Valencia is still light years from Beckham. Only thing I will give him is speed and pace which he has convincingly. Also power and strength, but those are pretty close.

the way things are looking adnan is likely leaving this summer. it looks his advisers are determined to run down his contract and cash in and boy is simply ffg what they say. unless he establishes himself as not just a 1st teamer but also confirmed starter, it's unlikely we'll be able to fend off the ridiculous offers he will receive.

without getting sidetracked. if the choice was whom to come into uniteds midfield as it is presently constituted. I would take pogba well before fellaini. I would take cleverley before either fellaini or pogba. for his long legs and languid style, pogba often goes missing for long periods in games, his work rate is not high enough to partner Carrick. I have already stated my views on fellaini in midfield for united. cleverley isn't the best fit for Carrick and our midfield, but of the 3, he is my preferred option.

I don't agree with Cleverly being better. They actually play different roles. Pogba is your natural powerful DM while cleverly was moulded into the likes of Scholes iniesta or xavi but he is not anywhere near it yet. He is majorly a substitute for the 3Lions and for United.

Pogba as won U20 and Serie A, which he played major role in whereas cleverly contributed sparingly to our EPL success.

pogba played a major role in juventus' title, while tom c contributed sparingly in ours? do you really want to stand by that assertion? maybe you meant that differently than it came out.

abeg what is all this over hyping of pogba. because he shows flashes everynow and then, playing in a packed juventus midfield, where the likes of Vidal and marchioso e.t.c cover for his failings and pick up his slack.

saf did his best. he was training with the 1st team before his departure and his antics did not cease. infact he was even more of a handful, insulting backroom staff and other reservists and youngsters. how would his involvement even in starting lineup have changed his self destructive mindset. if anything he would've gotten even worse. fact is saf and united tried extremely hard and it is just sour grapes to point a finger of blame at saf or united. Morrison blew the numerous chances he was given at o.t, saf isn't a magician. to effectively help someone, that person has to want to help themself. and it wasn't until he saw his ass bounced out of o.t did he finally begin helping himself.

Morrison is a prodigious talent, but he was also a lad headed for almost certain time behind bars if he didn't get out of Manchester when he did. The best thing SAF and United did for him was letting him go. It was a good wake up call and also an opportunity to remove him from the harmful elements seducing him. Now that he is seemingly getting plenty of attention again, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he once again begins his thuggish antics.

On serious note what are Moyes, Round, Neville and the rest of the backroom staff doing during training, team activities e.t.c with this squad. We just look totally unlike any United team I remember in the final 3rd. The number of needless and wastefulness crosses we swung in the 1st half was staggering. Too many long balls and not enough movement. Even established heads like Vidic, Carrick no longer look as comfortable on the ball as they once were.

Can't be just that we are missing Rene's stellar work in training and running the skills department. Also now would be a nice time for Giggs to use his experience to kick the entire squad up the backside and get them to put in more effort. Their demeanor is more like that of perenial lower half of the table side, than EPL champions.
