Just got an email from apple inviting me to try out the new icloud system (Beta).

For a beta, its pretty good. I think apple is trying to find an answer to Microsoft office 365.

Anywayz, long story short, you can now edit documents online via icloud.com using apple's software.

(Keynote, numbers and pages i think) which is equivalent to Word, excel and powerpoint.

tumababa: U can activate ur ios7 without being a developer. All u need to do is to enter dfu, downgrade to 613 or 614(for i5). Then u click on shift and "check for update" to select the ios7. DO NOT USE THE RESTORE BUTTON.

Datz all. U will be on ios7,no activation needed.
Right!!! So whats happens when beta 1 expires and you have to install the next beta. I am guessing you would do same thing also??

I mean you are an iphone geek right. You of all persons should remember what happened with ios 5 and 6 betas. anyways, no biggy. until then.
PhonesRe: iPhone Killer Apps 2 by moonraker(m): 8:11am On Jun 16, 2013
Kunle_ic: Hi Tumababa, how did you upgrade to iOS 7 without issues? I tried it and I have not been able to activate my iphone 5 since then. Do I need internet connection throughout the duration of the upgrade?
you need internet access to activate. plus if your not a developer, u will not be able to activate your phone.

ProgrammingRe: Best Laptops & Desktop Computers For Programmers?? by moonraker(m): 12:55pm On Jun 08, 2013
Seun: Fellow Programmers,

I'm looking to select a computer model to be bought for the programmers I'll be recruiting to work on Nairaland and related online ventures.

Which laptop or desktop model would you recommend?

I'm currently most attracted to the N150k Dell XPS 15 L502X which has a quad core i7 cpu, 8GB RAM, 15" 1080p screen, & backlit keys. The only important feature it lacks is a solid state drive, though it's pretty fast without it. It also lacks portability due to it's bulky size and short battery life, but since it won't be taken out of a computer room, that may not matter.

Other laptop models I've looked at: 15" retina MBP (too expensive at 350k+), HP Envy 14-2160SE with 80GB SSD (mediocre 14" HD screen @140k), 13" Macbook Air with a sweet 900p screen and a SSD (too expensive at 250k), HP Elitebook 8770W with SSD and 17" 1080p screen (too expensive at N250k). HP Folio or Dell XPS 13 with SSD, backlit keys, and great battery life but tiny 13 inch screens and wimpy processors. iMac 21.5 inch which is probably too expensive and may require a UPS.

What do you think about the above laptops & desktop and which models would you love to have as a programmer?
Maybe you can contact one of the foreign importers on this site. You could get a much better deal with good specs at the right price by importing.

If truly, the OP isnt of nigerian or african origin, then the responses so far hasnt done any

good in portraying the friendly nature that he (the OP) has come to know. I was brought up under

a doctrine of answering a question with a real answer and not question nor any other unrelated statement angry

I for one cannot ascertain whether or not he is of Nigerian or african ethnicity based on his writing structure.

Apparently some people on this site can, Amazing!!!!

@ OP

Erm, going to be honest with you. The answer to your question lies within you. We dont have a clue what the girl

in question is like. So we dont know for sure if she is genuine or not. Best thing is follow your heart??
RomanceRe: Nigerians In USA, Why Do You Always Go Home When Searching For Wives? by moonraker(m): 11:19pm On Jun 02, 2013
Kinda ridiculous what the men and women on this thread are spitting out.

Here's what I think. Race or nationality doesn't matter. Marry who you love or

Someone you think you are compatible with. Not everyone is the same.

You can't just conclude that since some Nigerian or Jamaican bleeped up somewhere

That everyone is the same! That's not done.
