Meanwhile, assuming but not conceding that figure is correct, it consists majorly of Hamas operatives, and the civilians that they killed directly themselves, as well as the ones they killed indirectly, by refusing them to leave war zones. We are not talking of those caught in the crossfire because Hamas uses essential public utilities as military facilities.

Looking at all of these against the background of Gaza having a population of millions, and Israel's military capabilities, it is easy to deduce that Israel has no interest in killing Palestinian civilians.
