Politics / Re: Tinubu Posseses Skills To Address Economic Challenges, Says Babangida by Mordecai(m): 6:39pm On May 29, 2023 |
Reading between the lines, IBB is saying that the country is in tatters and needs urgent attention. This is essentially an assessment of the past administration and frankly, he is just being diplomatic with his words. What remains to be seen is how one that ran a campaign hinged on hate towards the SE would be able to unite a country whose most potent binding force remains the people of the SE. For those who would want to question how the SE is a binding force on the nation, they can as well ask how NYSC helps in uniting the country. Simply put, the SE has the single highest population of indigenes residing peacefully in states outside the SE. Whatever the case, we from the SE will continue live among our countrymen as we have always done, with respect for their way of life and customs, albeit with our heads held high, and not as slaves like the BATists would want. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Mokole2023: Ignore that kobojunkie. She probably works for an NGO whose objectives are to increase divorce rates whatever the method used, whether it's in the interest of the woman or not. Take time out and read all her posts. All she wants is that no woman should stay married to a man. Given that she's always on this forum without a break, it means she has no other source of livelihood and this is her paid job. To induce divorce. So listen to her at your own peril. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Only a titled man will do those handshakes. The actors will greet their own traditional ruler the same way. They mean no disrespect. Infact, their gestures after the handshakes tell a lot about their high regard for the Ooni. From here too, we're saluting him. Kabiyesi!!! 13 Likes 1 Share |

Here they are - the bigots that nearly did PYO in. I hope his next few years out of power will open his eyes to see their bile-filled hearts, and keep away from them. Hopefully, his experience would be handy to PO, if and when the PEPT do justice and pronounce their judgement in fairness and with truth. Offpointng: |

We like PYO. He was the only one that appeared sane among the whole of PMB's team. However, we do not appreciate that his crew chose to run with BAT's crew and in so doing imbibed all the negative traits the BAT gang were known for. I believe they ended up misadvising the VP on the actual state of affairs on the ground. Luckily for him, he escaped the anti-Igbo paintbrush those charlatans used in presenting BAT to Nigerians. (Nigerians bought it well though and showed that bomboklaat that they prefer love to hate). It is very instructive to note that in the few cases when PYO was apprised of the true situation, he was decisive and his decisions were praiseworthy. Fare thee well, Prof. |

Imagine this commenter and his question!!! Obi was not rejected. As a matter of fact, his victory shocked you, your likes and your principal to the bones. Reason the election was rigged. Moreover, that explains why it's a party we were made to believe placed third, that's giving APC sleepless nights. A party that could not boast of a councilor before the election. Lol. Even if it's only Igbo youths, they are not Nigerian youths abi? And all the votes PO got were from only Igbos, abi? You labelled all Obidients as IPOB before the polls. You lost the polls, when Nigerians from all parts of the country voted their minds. You had to resort to rigging. Yet you're yet to learn your lessons. Kwantinue... Lifestone: 6 Likes |

Wike betrayed his people that have looked up to him for support, and supported him throughout all the attacks he faced at the hands of APC. He should have just let their votes on Feb 25 count, but no, he rewrote it. Flangelo12: |

We are not planting factional chairmen in APC, neither are we using incumbent power to snoop on opponents' private phone conversations. More importantly, we are not the ones smarting after taking a beating in our headquarters 🤣🤣🤣. We beat you before at the polls. We will beat you again at the courts. We are the many. Alaigbo again. Where is that coming from? Your demi-god assembled a warchest over a period of 22 years, placed members of his mafia in positions of authority, including a President and his VP, Governors of about 20 States, Senate President and Speakers etc. Only for a PO from Anambra State to join a relatively unknown party LP barely a year to the elections, and knock him around like a child in a campaign that kept Nigerians thrilled and hopeful for the future, topping it off by giving the old man a sound beating even in his own home. A very sound beating. Your demi-god had to resort to rigging in many states to get between 25%-29%. He couldn't rig FCT obviously. All the international observers are quartered there. And he needs to make a show of legitimacy... Ever since PO gave your demi-god a beating in the campaigns, locally and internationally, gave him an even bigger one in the elections, and is set to give him another in the courts, you have all been writing irrationally. Obi did not beat your god only in Alaigbo. He beat him in over half of the states of the federation including Lagos LeoDeKing: 2 Likes 1 Share |

You have not responded intelligently to the first question I asked you. You have just been raving and insulting yourself. I believe it is better we address the cause of your depression - PO slaughtering your god at the poll, especially at home . When you finally have a grip on your emotions, you might finally have the presence of mind to think rationally about how possible it is to fit N250m into three suitcases. Sonyboom: |

You have been throwing insults about, because clearly you've been triggered. By the mere mention of Obi's name? By the truth? By what exactly? Your demi-god assembled a warchest over a period of 22 years, placed members of his mafia in positions of authority, including a President and his VP, Governors of about 20 States, Senate President and Speakers etc. Only for a PO from Anambra State to join a relatively unknown party LP barely a year to the elections, and knock him around like a child in a campaign that kept Nigerians thrilled and hopeful for the future, topping it off by giving the old man a sound beating even in his own home. And he needs to make a show of legitimacy... Ever since PO gave your demi-god a beating in the campaigns, locally and internationally, gave him an even bigger one in the elections, and is set to give him another in the courts, you have all been behaving irrationally. So get a cup of water, drink, and accept the realities. You're just in the second stage of grief. We'll wait for you to come around. We'll need you when we begin rebuilding Nigeria, maybe as a scapegoat. You decide. Sonyboom: |
Politics / Re: Video: Moment Angry Obidients Chased Lamidi Apapa Out Of The Court Room by Mordecai(m): 6:22am On May 18, 2023 |
First and foremost, you have to admit to yourself that N250m cannot fit into three suitcases. So the amount of money in those suitcases was clearly blown out of proportion. Your favorite newspaper house The Nation reached out to the Governor and his aide made it clear that the amount of money involved was less than a tenth of the amount being bandied around. If you cared about the truth, you'd have seen that report too, and that is more in line with what is realistically probable or possible. What we have here is clearly a case of imaginations running riot, as all the accounts by different persons quote different amounts. I am responding to you because you placed a curse on yourself and your generations. Obviously, you couldn't lay a curse on me even if I'm seated by your side. Most probably even, I might be old enough to be your father, or maybe not. So think rationally and hard, and count your teeth with your tongue. Don't go and die for the one caught on camera with bullion vans... Always apply reason. Sonyboom: |

yarimo: Misspelling people's names, especially people whose names are heard of often tells a lot about the writer. Don't be that writer. Do the needful. But most importantly, in your assertions, separate politics from good governance. Eg. Tinubu is excellent at politics, but terrible at good governance.... 30 Likes 1 Share |

TheRareGem1: The people do not need to be enlightened. They are the ones on the frontline, not the VP. Infact, he needs to be enlightened on the actual realities on ground. Prior to that 7 years, it was easier setting up a business. The only gains made today is that CAC certificates can be gotten online. In its place, the additional hurdles placed before new businesses are quadruple. Try it yourself. Register a business, get a license for it from the relevant regulatory authority, open an account for it. Then come back and tell us your experience. Even banks are scared of opening accounts for new businesses now because of the multiple needless regulations. 2 Likes |

Well, I believe it depends on the training the officers get. And their outlook on life. Which is shaped by society too. When the guardian of the law survives by getting handouts from lawbreakers, they can snap too. They're human. We need to get our leadership right, first and foremost. Then our law enforcement will have to be reoriented to place priority on "keeping citizens safe and secure" over "chasing after criminals". |

Kobojunkiee: 1. You once argued on another thread (some issue in Ghana, if I'm not mistaken) to the effect that verbal agreements are enforceable in court. I guess we don't have to revisit that, unless you have no principles and change stance on subjective whims. 2. Nigerians are well informed about marriage, especially as it relates to their culture. It's the bigots that believe Western culture is superior that need education. 4 Likes |
