Politics / Re: I Am Impressed With The Quality Of Peter Obi Written Address by Mordecai(m): 5:48am On Jul 22, 2023 |
Philgafauto: Well, if you are arguing on points of law, that doesn't apply. INEC refused to provide the "top copies" they used in collation despite being subpoenaed to do so. They also affirmed the copies submitted by the petitioners as CTCs. That automatically raises questions on 18088 PU results. Your argument would have applied if INEC provided them and they were up for analysis. Even at that, the reply addressed the issue of mutilation and rewriting of the PU results. There are also 39546 PUs without results on IREV with over 5m votes for whom INEC refused to provide "top copies" of results used in collation of votes. They specified that it is settled law that counsel's address, no matter how fanciful or eloquent cannot substitute for evidence of record. So clearly, the respondents that had PU agents all over the place have to evidence to prove their own points š¤£š¤£. These are from the document, not just my opinion. 1 Like 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Nigerians, Rise Against Tinubu; Calls For Massive Protest by Mordecai(m): 3:32pm On Jul 20, 2023 |

The problem is lots like you that want to tell the man what he MUST do be happy. In all his actions, he has never forced himself on May, neither has he forced himself on Judy, nor on you. May has taken her own decision, he has accepted it and moved on, yet here you are vituperating. You just want him miserable, but he isn't, so you are. Stay so, please. IconicR: |
Politics / Re: In Less Than Two Months, Tinubu Shatters Buhari's Eight Year Record by Mordecai(m): 2:24pm On Jul 12, 2023 |
All those sycophants that hailed PMB as a messiah until the twilight of his administration have started the same with BAT. We are not surprised. We only feel pity for those they've been able to control using their tribalism and ethno-religious politics. One of them helinues couldn't even help showing his disdain for the poor, showing clearly the kind of people they are. 1 Like |

codemaniacs: That's the way for us to go then. In addition, rather than encourage a few billion naira companies, we need to have plenty cottage facilities processing the product. Competition will thus lead to quality improvements and better pricing. In that case, when the Governor of Osun State for instance, is negotiating trade deals, he can be talking about biscuit makers in UK buying their chocolate powder from Osun traders. I believe such a deliberate policy will have more impact on their middle class. |

ednut1: When we say chocolate, we do not refer only to chocolate bars. What is generally referred to as tea in Nigeria is actually chocolate drinks. Recount the chocolate bars, the chocolate spread jars as well as the ones used in biscuits, then add it to the tea, and you'll be shocked how much chocolate we import. |
Agriculture / Re: What Is Nigeria's Biggest Agricultural Export Now? by Mordecai(m): 9:47am On Jun 27, 2023 |
FreeStuffsNG: Please do your own research and not parrot propaganda also. Sesame seed export has always been viable, even more, before PMB came on board. It was just unreported. Unless you believe that Mungo Park "discovered" the Niger. Secondly, look around you and tell me how many shops you have ever seen the Lake rice. Rice production grew because of the border closure (thanks to PMB) and the enterprising spirit of Nigerians, despite the terrible insecurity (knocks to PMB too). Individual little efforts aggregated to give us food, not the billions given to a few Nigerians by CBN. When you talk about coping during Corona, it is clear you do not see that Nigerians really suffered during the lockdown. Stop reopening those wounds, please. 1 Like |

ednut1: Maybe we need to ignore them, and focus on the end users. For instance, why export cocoa and import chocolate at a much higher cost? If we insist that the cocoa be processed, we can focus then on exporting to buyers of chocolate. We could at least save up on the forex used in importing chocolate and in addition to the farmers create additional employment. These "buyers" have always exploited us anyway with unfair trade agreements anyway. mariahAngel: Sure, but then the present situation isn't helping too. |
Agriculture / Re: What Is Nigeria's Biggest Agricultural Export Now? by Mordecai(m): 8:02pm On Jun 26, 2023 |
mariahAngel: Nigeria needs to place a ban somehow on the export of raw Agricultural produce. To qualify for export, it must be made to undergo a certain amount of processing. 2 Likes 1 Share |

SangoOlukosoOba: You wrote: I donāt know why people find it difficult to respect the religion of others when they find themselves in locations where they are minorities. In the context of what happened in Sokoto, that is a flagrant disregard of the rights of religious minorities to hold views different from that of the majority. |
