He should be ashamed of himself. With that kind of money, I think he bought the girl period. There are  better, mature and beautiful women in Nigeria. I wonder what kind of food the girl can prepare for him
Cerelac and Babina, of course! angry

point of correction, at the bolded: dat should be for d lawmakers and not for the entire Nigerians grin grin
We can no longer duck responsibility by blaming our leaders. We didn't import these leaders - they are from our own communities! Shame on ALL Nigerians for this!

As if we don't have enough problems already, now we are going to be known as the Pedophile Nation of Africa, what is wrong with Nigeria? Why are these frightening and evil stories always coming from the country? Why should an old man in the Nigerian Senate travel all the way to Egypt, buy a 13yr old child and then marry her publicly at the national mosquehuh!!!! Fellow Nigerians, our children will curse us in our old age if we sit back and watch these animals set up their altars of abomination in our highest national offices! If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything. Shame on all Nigerians! So we are now a country that not only breeds terrorists, but also supports and elects child molesters and child rapists! Shame on all of us this man remains in office! Just when you think we have already hit rock-bottom, we find ourselves a new low to descend to. Animal leaders! Animal country!
PoliticsRe: Acting President Goodluck Jonathan And His Too Many Grammatical Errors by moremi2008(m): 12:23am On Apr 17, 2010
God, I could only get through the first few minutes,  he sounds god-awful! Why can't we have leaders that are presentable to the international community? How can we call ourselves the giant of Africa and our President sounds like a village headmaster! Have you heard the presidents of South Africa or Ghana speak on tv? Go look them up on Youtube and you would be ashamed!

The issue here is not the accent. It's the poor enunciation, incoherence and poor body language. He clearly hasn't had any decent media training. At one point, it looked like he was afraid of Amanpour - he couldn't even sustain eye contact!!!! We Nigerians need to stop burying our heads in sand and then demanding that the world respect us. Leaders in the developed world (political or corporate) are routinely given solid media training before they resume duties. Those that don't have adequate public speaking skills hire professionals and undergo months of private tutoring. Are our leaders too big to learn to do things properly? Or are they too distracted by all the money there is to steal to even care?!

To all those making stupid arguments that English is not our native language, I pray you continue speaking terrible English until you see the light. Good communication has NOTHING to do with language. The presidents of non-English speaking nations give interviews in other languages routinely (the media house just hires a translator). However, we as a nation cannot hold on to English as our official language and then have our national leaders bastardize it at every opportunity they get. You don't like English? Ask your leaders to change our official language but that is still no excuse for poor communication skills. It's no excuse for poor enunciation, inability to present complex ideas in brief but structured coherent sentences, lack of presidential body language and demeanor and certainly no excuse for terrible grammar!

The problem with Nigerian leaders is that they aren't elected. I can't imagine a leader who has to campaign and convince an intelligent population to vote for him/her succeeding with poor communication skills. That Acting President Jonathan and many of our highest leaders sound barely articulate should be cause of concern and a source of national disgrace.

I suggest that Fashola runs this with green energy, maybe horses, or a bunch of those random goats wandering the streets.
