@ Mr Mo

Please listen to this interview,Julius Malema on 702

The link,

http://www.zoopy.com/audio/3e9p/redi-direko-interviews-anc-youth-league-president-julius-malema
Impressive interview. It seems the reporters are trying to frazzle Julius into ranting in an attempt to get him to say something outrageous. The guy is becoming a master of interviewing.

As far as i am concerned I see no clear evidence presented by reporters regarding any corruption issue at the moment and therefore at present cannot fault Mr. malema for anyting

The journalist really need to do better. This is just pure sensationalism
CultureRe: Wodaabe Tribe & Fulani Tribe by morpheus24: 6:46pm On Dec 13, 2010
Tsiya:
The internet is there for you to search. It will give you idea of the Fulani as a cultural and ethnic group.

But generally Fulanis re found between the edge of the Sahara Desert and the tropical rain forest, sometimes called grasslands suitable for grazing their cattle. Many fulani still lead the normadic life and hardly have a permanent abode however the large majority have succumb to the pressure of globilisation and what we called hausanization. Many of us have been forced to abandon our native language, dressing and even way of life to accept the more dominant hausa language and culture. In Nigeria in particular, unless in the remote villages some states particulary Adamawa nd Taraba, the language is fast disappearing.

Politically, the Fulani were more dominant in the Northern Nigeria, but now because of assimilation of the minority ethnic groups into hausa, it will be difficult to claim which tribe is more dominant politically. For example, Sultan of Sokoto, who is supposed to be the cultural leader of the Northern Muslim states, is Fulani by heritage but a Hausa in reality. Reason being that neither he nor his father or grandfathers speak and understand the fulani language. That is why in Nigeria, they call us Hausa-Fulani, although against our wish.

Physically, the Fulani are generally tall, lanky and a little bit fairer. Some claim that they re decendents of Arab, just like Somalis and Ethopians. But to me that is bull poo. Humans of all races evolved from Africa (if you belief in evolution theory), and therefore there is no way Fulanis or Somalis or Ethopians will come from Arabs. It is all inferiority complex. If you belief God Created every human and gave it it race, colours according to wish, then it is even simpler to belief that God created Fulanis, Somalis and Ethopians this way and that is how he wanted them. Personally I hate it when I hear any freak calling me a descendant of Arabs or something like that bullshit.

As you have read, here and on many Nigerian Newspapers, Fulanis are not loved by your people. Everybody in the Southern part of Nigeria hate us for no reason. We are simply the most hated and attacked ethnic group in Nigeria and we are subject of the most heinous, xenophobic and racist attack.
Where are you getting this rubbish that Southerners hate Fulani people. Please correct yourself.

As far as the Fulani of Nigeria go. They are an extension of the Fulani that inhabit the sahel regions strecthing from the western most point in senegal to the tips of the Chad.

Fulani are indigenous to West Africa and have been within these regions for quite some time now. As you mentioned DNA evidence shows they are not descendants of Arabs but have a very small trace of genotypical dna traits as indigenous Berber north Africans, probably through intermarriages or trade. The dna gene is calledU6
They are quite distant from ethiopians and Somali and cluster more with West african Senegambian types like the Mandinka.

Again no one hates Fulani people as far as a people are concerned. Politics is another issue. Their nomadic natures have allowed them to be absorbed into more dominant settler groups like the Hausa togethter with its socio political views

SportsRe: Why Does The West Dominate African Football? by morpheus24: 8:08pm On Nov 22, 2010
medjai:
Morocco is in North Africa. . .

Because West African players make up the bulk of an award doesnt mean they are the dominant force on the continent, that to me is North Africa. 1994 was the last time a West African nation won the nations cup. That is 16 years ago. North African nations have won the nations cup 5 times in the last 16 years.
If you also look at the CAF Champions League, the last time a club from a West African nation won it was in 2004. Clubs from North African nations have won it 4 times in the last 6 years.
North Africa is clearly the dominant region when it comes to football in Africa

P.S: Cameroon is central Africa
I sense some recentment here my Northern brother

The reason West African' dominate in football stems from their indoctrination into the game early on in colonializm and their physical attributes that aid their development.

It is no coincidence that Britain and France, being world class soccer countries have had a large influence on the game being played heavily in their forma colonies.

Sorry but north african players don't comeup on the blimp of highly skilled individual players.

Ya'll do perform better as a group but that is more of infrastructure and higher training facilities than anything else.

The individual flare is stilll home in the WEST,

By the way Cameroon is considered West Africa
PoliticsRe: Sahara Reporters Interviews Fashola, Watch Video by morpheus24: 8:03pm On Nov 22, 2010
Sorry to say but those Sahara reporters lost credibility and are weakening their news agency. Fashola butressed the points quite eloquently and addressed al their issues without going into specifics.

Nigerians just look for the sllightest opporutnity (which they rarely have) to challenge leaders in the hop of shedding the spotlight on themselves.

In this Instance, Fashola 1: Sahara reporters :

Sorry!!!

shakers:
still waitn for info pls, SA guys or anyone with this info pls say something
I don't know how many times we have to come on this site and tell you people about SA.

1. Secruing a visitor visa and trying to swap it out for a student visa requires adequate financing. Does your friend have money? Doubt it, cause if he/she did they would not be inclined to move to SA.

2. SA is becoming increasingly difficult to immigrate to, especially for those who are underskilled workers who do not bring a valubale skill or who are not investors into the country. Your friend will be running undercover for an extended period of time and will be tempted to engage in illegal activities once their money dries up.

3. Hustling in SA will frustrate the hell out of your friend. He is not going to find it easy at all. Prepare him for the hardship

My knowledge comes from working with several NGO's that lend advice to immigrant groups in SA.
