"resemblance" also depends on how YOU wanna look at it. The association between blacks and monkeys, or other colored people and monkeys is probably subconsciously because of the obvious similarities in color. If most African monkeys didn't have dark fur, would people be quick to jump on the idea that black people came from monkeys? Or to make jokes or insults of calling a black person "monkey"?
Has anyone thought about what color monkeys would be if they were hairless or had minimal hair?
Now, between black Africans and white Europeans, who's actually more hairy like monkeys? The way I see it, white folks are more similar to monkeys. Unless you wanna compare their resemblance with bears.

Actually its more likely you're one of those with the problem. This thread was made with the intention of being humorous. If you read the first 1-3 pages everyone kept it pretty light . . . well until those who think they "know better" chose to show up.

Yes we look like monkeys, it may interest you and other folks to note that 99% of our DNA is no different from that of a chimpanzee.

I am not sure why people cannot see your intentions for what they were. This was simply an observation of purely phenotypic similarities between the monkeys and the men. NOT A THEORY, NOT A PROVEN ANYTHING!!!!!!!!.
For all we know, it might be some element of the environment that has caused this. Also, we as humans are very susceptible to suggestion. Your brain will always try to make sense of something, and it tells the eyes what to see. All the big grammer aside, its was just something you noticed. Doesn't apply to entire populations or anything! AARRGH!!!!! I"m pissed! To add insult to injury, people are trying to look and sound smart off of it. Morph do not defend anything jare! I repeat. No the chosen man in random pic DOES NOT AND CANNOT represent one people. We are still too different physically even if we share similar traits (skin colour, nose shape, etc.).

I was born and raised in Nigeria for 10 years. However, last time I came to the country I was asked SEVERAL times by colleagues what my country of origin was - and by people who are familiar with foreign faces because this happened in a large oil company I underwent an internship in.
Believe me or not I got some people guessing "Egypt, Black Arabian, non African, half-caste", etc. My mum is Igbo, my dad Yoruba. But apparently I don't "look like the common Nigerian". . . if that means anything.

Conclusion: generalization = form of manicheanism.

The logic of the thread/topic is flawed because, granted that in most pics there are strong ressemblances between the indigenous men and monkeys of a given region, you cannot extend the comparison to the other men of those particular regions. Are you with me?

In short, yes the man you chose in one pic looks similar to the monkey of the region he lives in, but that man DOES NOT represent all the other men in said region. So, no. The 'phenomenon' you're refering too isn't actually noteworthy.

well whites will always try to justify their continued subjugation of blacks by labelling us as less intelligent, this has been going on for centuries, slavery was justified by the white slave owners and merchants because they claimed it was necessary to turn heathen blacks away from their primitive idol worshipping ways, they even used their bible to justify the atrocities that were meted out on black slaves, saying that it was necessary in order to "civilise" us. Now in the 21st century we still have so called academics coming up with this racist ideology.

Until we as a race of people learn to do for ourselves and not look to the white man as our alpha and omega we will continuously be exposed to this our ancestors built the pyramids a feat so outstanding that present day skyscrapers all over the world are modelled after its structure and design.
