"The Treaty consisted of 25 articles.[4]

Article 1 provided for the new united Kingdom to be named Great Britain.

Article 2 provided for the succession of the House of Hanover, and for Protestant succession as set out in the English Act of Settlement.

Article 3 provide for the creation of the one, unified, parliament of Great Britain.

Articles 4–18 dealt with aspects of trade, movement, taxes, regulation etc to ensure equal treatment for all subjects of the new United Kingdom. Article 16 required the introduction of a common currency for Great Britain, subsequently effected through the 1707-1710 Scottish recoinage.

Article 19 provided for the continuation of Scotland's separate legal system.

Article 20 provided for the protection of heritable offices, superiorities, heritable jurisdictions, offices for life, and jurisdictions for life after the union.

Article 21 provided for the protection of the rights of royal burghs.

Article 22 provided for Scotland representation in the Parliament of Great Britain to be 16 Lords and 45 MPs.

Article 23 provided for Scotland's peers to have the same rights as English peers in any trials of peers.

Article 24 provided for the creation of a new Great Seal for the United Kingdom, different for the Great Seal of England (but that the English one could be used until it was created.)

Article 25 provides that all laws of either Kingdom that may be inconsistent with the Articles in the Treaty are to be declared void."

@ mazaje - i am not a slavish adherent of anything fed to me by any one. You should have noticed that by now. It took me many years to arrive at my conclusions trust me. In the past i have been an Anglican, Jehovah's Witness, Rosicrucian, considered Islam, and almost Crossbearer. I have read the bible, the quoran, the grail message, and many Buddhist, Taoist, shintoist, and even hindu philosophies because i am a SEEKER. The only way we can belong together is to hold a national conference to thrash out a contract between citizen and state and between regions and cultures. Intellectuals like Wole Soyinka have battled hard for this over the years; the more we ignore their cries, the deeper the "nation" will sink into jungle slush.

We can escape from any conspiracy just by becoming united. The Time to Unity is NOW. We see that statement so often but to those that overstand, it doesn't get old, it only gets more relevant!! Time is running out, quick. We cannot afford to be part of shocked, unprepared and dumbfounded masses when it all hits the fan. By this time, and with all the knowledge that has been entrusted to us, we should have already established our own TRUE FREEDOM, our Own self-sustaining, self-ruled and controlled, prosperous black community that becomes a worldwide united black nation and so on. If we're expected to make it through what's coming, you better know we need to be in power by that time. Just making it is about to get even more difficult for anyone without sufficient resources. The thing that the average "African" doesn't seem to get or accept is, WE have to get it done. There is no "savior" scapegoat-copout that is going to come down and hold our hands, think for us, gently explain to us the location of our own asses, take care of everything for us, bubblewrap us and deliver us to our dream homes in our dream communities. WE are the ones that are responsible. Like the saying goes, the only helping hand I need is at the end of my own arm, and I have two of them.!!

Well, I watched DISTRICT 9. And I have to say that it's the VERY BEST action sc-fi movie for the year 2009. And it's rating among critics all around has been very high. Regardless of what we may all think about the movie and were it was shot, I have to give kudos to the director for his creativity and the excellent storyline. I agree that I was a bit upset about them portraying Nigerians wrongly, but I just laughed over it.

@Poster: coolruler, it simply means "turn the other cheek", the expression that is. you dealt a hand that is too heavy to carry, but you must carry it. no way for you to shunt it, otherwise you have disobeyed the commander who said "turn the other cheek!" you must at least volunteer for a second cheating, vioation, abuse, etc, and oh indeed, slapping of the "other cheek" which you must turn!

you cant complain, because it is a sign of intending to disobey or reluctancy at accepting the order to turn the other cheek! whats so funny about all of this is that you already know that it is unnatural to subject yourself into all of these abuse, the reason you put all the many questions up for some guy who is going to beg the questions pretends as if he is answering and change the whole thing to some silly process of argument! look, just like the idea of turn the other cheek, however you slice it does not make sense, it is the way the idea of three gods to be in One God does not make sense!

now you know how impractical it is to turn the other cheek. it is impossible to allow the like of mike tyson in his hay days slap you in anger and full force behind it, and after you recover from the long daze, "turn the other cheek" to him to now slap you down, with a ferocious force that may have a disastrous outcome for you.


let me tell you, you will be the joke of the century for turning the other cheek, because you called it on yourself. i wonder if your god asked you to do something this unreal, impractiable, unnatural, inhuman to yourself and dangerous to your health, which is obvios, how many things are in the bible with one or more of the qualties that i listed?

Christians and jews were oblige to have a special prayer on friday but they neglect it. Thats the fact. Why do christian have good friday ? Message of the prophets are authentic. The ten commandments are valid and followed by the muslim till day. Sabat was not mentioned in the Quran as long as i can remember except in your bible, so i can't say anything regarding that, we all know that the bible suffered from addition and subtraction

I still don't get your rambling. We follow the law of Prophet Muhammad and not moses or jesus, there are many things that are unlawful to past Prophets but to Prophet muhammad were made lawful. The ten commandments and many laws of the Past Prophet are inherited down till today because their message is one, God monotheism-This is the islamical point of view

What i am telling you is, muslim are religious to the extent that they practise what the christian desist in their bible. Before the Prophet(SAW)'s death, in His last sermon, He said He is leaving for us two things; the Qur'an and the Hadith. Allah perfected our religion by giving us a life instruction manual- the Qur'an. Its for this reason that muslims worship in uniform. I believe if you hadn't been a christian, you would have noticed the discrepancies in your book or maybe you sometmes silently weep in a corner because your book is a disgrace to humanity.
