Hbuyosh: Apartheid was so bad ,it brought together strange bedfellows. But unlike in most African countries where once the unpopular regime is kicked out, the groups that were once united in the struggle turn against each other in their mad scramble for the state's goodies, messing up their country in the end. SA didnt regress into that situation. The various protagonists in the struggle against apartheid are still united and still share the vision of creating a united, progressive, democratic, multiracial state. See the black SA regime provide a very good lesson to the rest of the world on proper human relation.Tribalism is rife in SA even if it's underlying. In my opinion, the systems and structures left in place post Apartheid make it difficult for the country to disintegrate "as quickly" as most other African nations. The "antagonists" who still reside within the country continue to practice "racism" in all manners be it institutional or outright. A multi- racial state will be difficult to attain as long as one class of people continue to believe they are "privileged. What pacifies a lot of people is the ability to maintain(white) and the promise to attain(black) wealth. Take the US as an example. How many years since the emancipation proclamation, reconstruction, civil right bills, Barack Obama and America is still divided on racial lines. Don't buy it. Hbuyosh: To me, the most admirable endeavour of the black regime in SA is their trying to build a one society devoid of racial/ethnic/religious bias. SA is a somewhat more united country today than during the white-rule era. Again the govt there has really tried to build better, bigger and more infrastructure to augment the ones built during the apertheid era. The other African countries too can develop. It'll all depends with the policy of the govts, availability of quality education and most importantly, peace and stability. Unfortunately, these contries have for a long been bessoted by wars, diseases and misrule, they couldnt concentrate on development.so "technically" speaking Apartheid was a good thing cause it galvanized all the ethnic groups into focusing on a single enemy...."the regime". |
EroZA: You should know by now that SA is rich in natural resources, even the SA weather is very different with those of other African countries...SA is surrounded by oceans and more importantly black south Africans share same culture and languages...remember white people did not go to Europe and ask money to build SA ,all the money was generated here, thanks to our minerals ...not forgetting our beautiful weather for making the environment conducive....uncreative people will always use their skin colour to justify their failure. All the above stated pretty much supports my premise. No White people, no rapid development, gold or no gold ![]() |
CraigB: Trust an ape-gerian to think the world cares about the differences between ape-gerians.The settlers didn't care about ethnic differences any which way when they arrived, how much more a part neanderthal "mukiwa" masquerading as an "African". The point is lost to a cold adapted mind that doesn't really belong on the continent. Dance for us "mukiwa."...dance till your feet hurt. Msauza: Categorically, I would state that your stance to this issue is preposterous. It would equally reduce to saying that Nigeria of all west African countries appears to have a better infrastructure than the rest. SA same as Nigeria is developed because of its fortune in the endowment of natural resources and not because of a white man.Unfortunately, many African countries are not equally endowed same as SA and Nigeria. However, I believe that despite the whites contribution of developments in SA, blacks would have equally achieved the same level of development, perhaps even more.I am guessing the Congo which has the richest deposit of mineral resources doesn't count ? |
ZDee: travelers, do travelers seek asylum in other countries? ;d ;dObservation: There is serious religious and ethnic violence in the Northern part of Nigeria. Why is it many people from these parts of Nigeria; Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi Adamawa and Jos not flooding the SA embassies in Nigeria or South African Home affairs offices. All I hear are strong SE and SS accents plus an illiterate Home affairs officer in the video Hmmmmm ![]() [flash=400,300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRCPpcSFG7E[/flash] |
ZDee: Isn't naai-geria hell on earth? You can pretty much identify and tranpose any one of the above 'situations' into any state in Africa including the very much alive bantustan "locations" in South Africa. Evidence is un-convincing. |
ZDee: It would still be paradise compared to naai-geria, that's certain..Maybe, but that's a hypothetical. We can never truly know, Unless of course you move all 5+ million whiter saffers to Orania. The coloreds are technically black anyways. |
Msauza: The question where SA would be without white people seeks to undermine cognitive abilities of black people. If Nigerians, Kenyans and others could manage to bring and put up the little that they got to develop their respective countries to the level that they are today, why would black South Africans fail.but why is it then that all other sub saharan African countries "without" white settler populations are not on PAR with the pseudo-African state called SOUTH AFRICA in terms of infrastructure. What created this developmental divide? Do the rest of us in Africa lack that "cognitive ability" when almost every country in Africa is rich with natural and human resources? The answer to the above questions doesn't undermine anybody, it simply alludes to the answer to the question "Where would South Africa be without white people" ANSWER: remove white people, you get just another sub-saharan African country. Why can't you guys deal with this reality ? |
AwodwaGyanOniwe: @IconizeI don't blame you, you have turned your back on Banku for "pap" and chisa nyama |
14: Full Time score: Niageria 2-3 CongoMumu, qualifier neva finish we are coming for bafumble bafumble....make sure your players load up on "pap" and cabbage so you will have enough strength for the full 90 mins. |
Abagworo: Igbos are semi-bantu. The term "Bantu" is widespread as word for "mankind" or "people" which in Igbo is "madu". At least the similarity is clear and becomes even clearer when applied with Akpo dialect of Ikwerre which is "Bandu" for "mankind". Some other variations are "Manu", "Vadu" and "Nmadu".In my opinion, it would be safer to assume that "proto-bantu" speakers may have produced offspring that diverged with one or several groups spreading the language across central-east-south Africa migration routes and possibly the other group spreading Westward merging with Niger-Benue speakers of which the Igbo, Ibibio and efik may be related to. "BA" and "Ntu" are the affinity words that cut across for bantu speakers as in Basotho. Batswana, Ba-Uganda(Buganda) and BaCongo. |
Shocking. Liberia should not complain if they completely isolate them. They are handling this situation quite badly. What strikes as odd is this ebola patient being able to physical roam. Should he be bed ridden ![]() [flash=400, 300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbOmgHUI0aQ[/flash] |
Just saw this video, See how the people are running away from him. What is odd is the man is pretty fit for an Ebola patient even managing to struggle with the health care workers. Na wa, Liberia! [flash=400, 300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbOmgHUI0aQ[/flash] |

AwodwaGyanOniwe:Ahhhhhhh Nana Kweku "makwerekwere" Mensah, not every Nairalander is igbo, even though it might seem that way. Nigeria has over 150 languages. You score zero points on Morpheus's ethnicity. The igbo are however my people because we share the same nationality. However you have made it clear to us you are a half breed Kwa-Bantu disguised as a "multi-ethnic" in SA PS, Those links you posted are simple picture spamming conversations with yourself by yourself, slow down and again point us to the "HISTORY" thread so we can meet there...or did you mean "CULTURE" thread. Small boys get gra gra no be small lol |
AwodwaGyanOniwe: The FLAT HEAD WHO HAS NEVER BLOGGED WITH FACTS IS ASKING FOR FACTSQuoting out of context. I only recall making reference to the inherited Vodoo culture of Haitians brought mainly by Fon people who imported this practice from the kingdom of Dahomey which is present day BENIN. PS. You must point to this "HISTORY THREAD" on Nairaland. When you find it let me know. Kweku "makwerekwere" Mensah you must stop Fibbing o! ![]() ? |
AwodwaGyanOniwe: @Morpheus24Excerpt with no source, no context. I could as well pull a snipit from Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf" to support the view that black people are "Sub-humans" and use that as "factual evidence." The mere mention of the word "Igbo/Biafra" in your snipit simply suggests that whoever the author is/was, they definitely are biased towards the Igbo ethnic group and if I were to guess the author is probably writing about the justifications for the Nigeria war against the Biafrans. Please stop passing that nonsense off as evidence. PS. I see you did not challenge my rebuttals of point 1 and point 2. Did you concede those 2? |
otumfour: oh yeh, e worwor pass ur mama and papa rolled up in 1, shut tha fhuckup and keep getting whooped by South AfricansStill terrible. Sierra leone Pidgin beta pass. E show say you no be Accra boy. Na dem Kumasi people dey yarn this your kind. |

AwodwaGyanOniwe: Visit the HISTORY THGREADS....I have it all.Point 1.... Your "stats" show West African(non bantu) at 60% flowing to the US and the Angola-Congo bantus spread out at a relative 40% to the rest of the Americas. What is the make up of the other missing 60% to the Americas?, if it is non bantu, then how do you assert that AA's are primarily BANTU! Point 2... Seeing that the average physical build of a Sene-gambian was and is still superior to that of an Angola-congo, I highly doubt your second assertion is accurate. Point 3. I do not recall anywhere a particular ethnic group were singled out as "lazy" when they got to the Americas, however there is evidence of Captain's logs that show the "Igbos" were prone to jumping off the ships. This is based on their cultural beliefs that they would return to the land of the spirits in their native countries. Ha Kweku, don't fibb o!

AwodwaGyanOniwe: @Morpheus24Never said it was a crime, just setting the "context" |
iconize: You're a beast of no nation with no identity, we all know that.CraigB is a lost English speaking wanna be Johnny Clegg "mukiwa" from Kwazulu natal, probably of Jewish ancestry(hence the liberal views compared to a typical Afrikaaner) Dance Zulu boy.... Dance!! [flash=400, 300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDJDX-FuKHc[/flash] |
AwodwaGyanOniwe: New world Bantus....Most of the origins/Areas of those you posted as BANTU are of West AFrican extract.. Sene-gambian, Gold coast and sierra leone are not Bantu |
^^^ all those Bantu's are not like the ones from east or south Africa. Different breed! |
paniki: Yes, I let you call South Africans xenophobic. Don't let that bother you.I repeat... "can you stop me" |
^^^^^ "the country of Africa" part cracks me up! |
