I Believe that 2 years advance is both wrong and cruel; so also is the agreement fee paid; I believe that onus is on the government to create an enforceable legal framework where by a landlord can get 6months deposit and pay monthly in advance; so for a new tenant you need to come up with 7 months payment; if a tenant defaults on payment for 2 consecutive  months ; the landlord can institute an eviction proceeding in court which must be concluded within the remaining 4months thus protecting the landlord and giving the tenant ample time to get alternative accomodation or bring their payment upto date.

I hope so too; And it will only be if the forum allows it, we cannot let anyone destroy the good thing that has existed on this thread; it amazes me that people that profess to have benefitted from this thread seem hell bent on seeing its demise. I sincerely hope that this is not a sponsored attempt to destroy this thread or it may be cashcraft seeking revenge. Whatever the reason we should not be cowered to submission.

With all respect- Could you please explain your reason for not wanting to allow peace to reign in this forum as you have been repeatedly been asked; just today alone you have repeatedly insulted the integrity of members of this forum by casting negative aspersion on them. If you have ulterior motives kindly let us know as many people will support that if you are upset about elder napoleon saga and most members of the forum have alluded to the loss of both his person and inputs, but it has gone on for too long, this is not a thread to discuss personal matters, it is reserved for stock market kindly leave out all snide remarks.

Mr President- You need to read the previous pages of this forum as advised by other peeps, it will help in educating you better on how the forum works; if you are putting your business proposal in public domain, your are therefore putting it under scrutiny good or bad, it is good that you are getting positive responses no need to get personal as it would only forment trouble and bad PR for your business.

This forum represented the best collaboration of Nigerians both at home and in Diaspora, cutting across ethnic, Age, religious and educational background to achieve one common and should not be allowed to disintegrate.

@Poster when u mean big- are u referring to number of people, or u mean how expensive or elaborate a wedding is.

The choice of whether to have a big wedding or not- unlike what a lot of people have stated here earlier does not only depend money, as the financial burden will not be left to the couples alone. It largely depends on size of family, relatives and friends, if you both come from a large family or have loads of relatives around you guys, it will be difficult to have a small wedding (small in number of people attending) as u wouldn't want others to feel less privilege hence that it is why it easier for westerners (Europeans) to have small weddings. It however does not mean that there wedding are less expensive. A friend did his wedding last year in London and only spent £6000, and there was about 400 people there and was really nice both he had friends and family contributing one way or the other to it. Whilst another choose to do her wedding at a hotel for 100 people and paid £70 per person. I think it all comes down to the couples enenvironmentfamilies, relatives and Friends, then finances) which in turn will dictate their choice.
