You might probably take it as an insult but your post is filled with so much misinformation and a dash of ignorance in regards to the actual state of things and significant misunderstanding with regards to the actual project and contract to the point of being shocking. . . . . . . . it really is. Kindly Note and Understand that there is a clear difference between something being proposed and actualisation; hence the Infrastructures that I Mentioned might have been proposed ala light railway (since Jakande); 4th mainland bridge; oh and no major roads are bad in lagos again,

@ BabaPupa and All pro Airport in LFTZ; Can you list what benefit the airport would bring to the 16 Million lagosians in the next 5years, note 16Million lagosians and not the less than 1million living in the Lekki Axis, I am not saying it is a bad project but at this point in time and with the situation of infrastructures in lagos state embarking on this would be doing the right thing at the wrong time; hence the reason why I termed it elitist;
At a time when Most lagosians are still wasting up to 4-5 hours daily in traffic due to bad road or inadequate road infrastructure, ensuring that the proposed rail lines come to fruition ASAP is paramount as it benefits every lagosian; would lead to job creation; investors are guaranteed to get their returns quicker; people will spend less time commuting; less congestion on the road will mean goods and services get to their destination quicker, Also the goods; people (2Million jobs/workers as they most likely wont All be living on the island) would not fly IN or Out of LFTZ.

Am a fashola admirer;but that doesnt mean I can't fault some of his actions, the land can be left as it is; allocated & earmarked for airport development in the future; london got Heathrow T5 only recently but that land has been there since forever and the required and supporting services where put inplace first; LFTZ has not taken off yet; the purported business and job are not there yet;if the investments are made towards roads; 4th mainland bridge; train services now, this infrastructures have been on the card since the time of Jakande thats close to 30years ago; when the LFTZ becomes functional this rail and road infrastructures will serve it, Lagos does need another Tinapa like project; Do you not agree that if Tinapa was only 2-3hours by train (efficient) to lagos; regardless of whether there is federal govt support for the project or not; it wouldn't be the monumental failure it is today, The Business case for the need for this airport does not cut it All,

Another Elitist Project, We have 2 Airports in lagos already, dont see the need for another presently, If all other infrastuctures are working; road gridlocked cleared and trains connecting places as proposed atleast one of the train is supposed to connect MMA with marina, the more people using the trains means roads will become less congested , fashola should concentrate on that rather than building another airport, PPP involves counterpart funding which may not neccesarily be in monetary terms, The Land can be preserved or earmarked for the Airport; In future should that Axis develop or expand as people are saying about the Lekki Free Trade Zone; then we can then build atleast business activity in the LFTZ would have genearted enough funds to aid with the building, in the list of priorities facing majority of lagosians building an airport in lekki is not tops.

@Gbawe, will I do understand ur position, I am incline to believe that Jonathan, knowing that he has nothing to loose by sending the Uwais report could have actually sent the Unedited version , knowing fully well that the members of NASS will not pass it, becos most of them if not for rigging will not be there in the first place, really do not see the being pass before the 2011 election sincerely doubt if it will be pass even after the 2011 election unedited depending on who becomes the president.

In the Interest of Equity, I support the rotational system, it does not neccessary mean it will throw up illiterate or failures, there are capable hands in every regions, until the polity take electioneering and make our votes counts then we should blame rotational presidency but our electoral failure,

The lady should take responsibility for her situations, she is where she is because of her actions or inactions, Except she is lying having been in the UK for almost 8years with her kids arriving legally, there provisions and oppurtunities to regularised her stay or to get a status because at a time they most have had some kind of status to bring in the kids and the elderly mother, and even if it was the husband that had the status , then proving even common law lwife and the issue of abuse would make have aided her getting a status, , but her inaction by not asking the right question and seeking advise from the right people, having meet a few nigerians with the same attitude, Also we are failing to ask about the father of the Children; How can a nigerian man abandon his 4kids to homelessness and while he is still earning an income & in the UK, well as some people have said it may just be lies added to make her situation really bad to further her case with the home office or the social welfare, If not so why is the guy not being charged with wife battery and being made to contribute towards the welfare of the children when he is still in the UK, I just get a feeling that we are not being told the full story

Umar is great. I don't think there is any Northerner I like like that guy - he does not hide under any ethnic cloak at all. But my fear is that he defends the South so much that the North may not even believe he is a Northerner anymore.

He sure has IBB's support and alot of northern progressive will support and also the military brass will give their support, if the handles national security stability whilst his VP Pat Utomi handles the Economic part , nigeria hand two of our best hands handling the two most important areas of our nation.

The Banker & Banker ticket neglects national security stability which whether we acknowledge it or not is vital for the development of our infant democracy,

I believe that Col Umar and Pat Utomi combination will make a good presidency , both are progressives, Umar with being ex military will ensure national security stabilisation hence limiting the chances of the military truncating our democracy whilst Utomi diverse knowledge will asist in policy formation to move the economy forward whilst meeting the North/South; Muslim/Christian, ExMilitary/Civil Balance, with no detriment to quality or merit.
