Your apologies mustn’t be verbal,do things that pleases her for now and when you’ve won her heart then remind her again that you still waiting for her forgiveness and after that you wisely keep your distance while still caring for her. Your mom is just being egoistic, which I understand. But truth be told, deep inside her she has forgiven you, because your action of apologizing to her might have melted her heart and weaken her; because she never thought you'll come back to apologize.

Inasmuch as she's so hard on you now, dont relent effort in apologizing to her, till she openly forgives you. Keep on being remorseful.

And don't be too hard on yourself , because you didn't do that deliberately, it was because of her constantly provoking you.

But the good thing is that you have done the needful.

Send her gifts after some months, pricey gifts and clothes and do this consistently while you make sure she doesn't see or hear from you.

Do it consistently sending her gifts for as long as a year or two. Absent makes the heart grow fonder. Continue sensing gifts monthly. I.e salary. Till when she will send for you.

Okay... I felt the need to update y'all on what followed that ugly incident.

I really did understood that I went overboard with how I reacted as I should never have hit my who woman you birthed me as it has caused me so much emotional trauma and I really wanna move on.. my life literally stalled ever since.

The incident happened last Monday and she traveled the following day, so whatever plan I had to apologize had to wait till she was back.. learnt she came back on Saturday. Definitely couldn't see her until atleast Tuesday which was yesterday. So I had called an elderly man who happens to be our family friend, explained everything to him and told him I was sorry. We both went to her to apologize but she insisted on not forgiving me and there's was no one I could ever think of that can make her do otherwise.. meaning no one can beg her on my behalf. I just weak like this oloun.

Honestly speaking, I wasn't disappointed with her response as I expected it.. i won't lie. She's that difficult to deal with, really difficult! Sigh. Tin ba sope ko sumi, iró ni mo pa

I think you should call your dad, you guys should meet and talk heart to heart and possibly seeks ways to ask for her forgiveness.
If possible, your dad should talk to your mum as well to change for the better.
All forms of pain whether mental, physical or emotional is never an easy load to carry not to talk of someone having to carry all three.
Make a move, talk to your dad, someone you are sure can help or go alone, ask for forgiveness and move on.

Today that bro has over 4 houses in Nigeria, he built his house on same street as his father. He commanded respect out of his father with this action and the rest is history.
