rebekah2011:As far as I know, Japaul belongs to Access bank and Diamond bank just the way cbn owned skye. All japaul shareholders are just wasting their time. They hold nothing. As for jegede, he has alread made 1000times what he invested. |
locodemy:Mine is 25k, urs 20k. Lets move it to 25k first. But before then, my eyes are on fidelity cos at fidelity, we keep our... |
veecovee:You go see Yayira for that side. Say hi to her. |
swilo:He is a potential member. His tithe go make sense. |
swilo:If u don't pay school fees how will u learn? |
Mcy56:Lol. I seriously need it at. 25kobo. |
locodemy:Wetin una dey see for this aiico sef. Uniondac is two times better. But airservices and fidelity are even better than both. My opinion sha. |
Uniondac. |
currentprice:Leave wema matter abeg. I see it the same way I see unity bank. They are both govt banks, no matter how they perform, even if they cook thr books, govt will never let them fail. But they never really grow like the rest. I never see wema doing what a bank like uba, access etc did ie growing from 3-10. |
Pls will the market open today? Or are they also on strike? |
Infinitisi:I think that makes it a good buy. For this reason: "For retail investors, the situation could most likely lead to a mandatory tender offer (MTO). Under NSE rules, the tender offer would be at the highest price in the last six months before the MTO was announced. This would most likely be in the region of N0.55 per share." Culled from the quoted site. |
wanaj0:I wonder oh. I have been reading the guys comments and watching him go round and round only to arrive at the same place. Assuming fidelity took 3months doctor their result, he wants to now catch them and unravel it in less than 24hrs without any knowledge of accounting/auditing. |
Mcy56:Fidelity is not for offloading. Its for loading. I see in fidelity what I was looking for in uniondac. |
Mcy56:Watch and see. Its that time. As they would say, NOT A BUY RECOMMENDATION. |

The Nigerian Stock Exchange bounced back today as the All Share Index closed at 33,114.44 basis points, up 2.04%. |
Where is fxuser. Hope skye did not carry him and go. #bringbackourfxuser# |
Chibuking81:Abegi. na today we start hear melt down? Talk another thing pls. Pple have been shouting meltdown since 2014 |
Mcy56:The market has refused to mourn the demise of skye bank. |
OBAGADAFFI:The other day I asked if the accumulated fine for late submission of result by skye had not accumulated beyond any profit they might have made between 2016-date. Them say make I close mouth make the bull continue. NSE only acts after other regulators have acted. Now they will nit be able to recover accumulated fines. Except if the go after individual shareholders. |
Yes. Oil now 80.11 |
Bonanza gang right now. Just waiting for the right time.
|
Oil now $79.76 |
gift01:Ayeni took 70billion from skye. But he had a total of 150billion from the banking industry. Most of this was spent in power sector investments eg Ibadan and yola discos https://www.thecable.ng/httpswww-thecable-ngexclusive-tunde-ayeni-wrecked-skye-bank-management-writes-osinbajo/amp |
Jejebabaa:I don talk am before. The next real tsunami will be in the insurance sector. Many will not remain the same. |
Oil rising this morning. That $80 is well in sight. Meanwhile, although fidelity result is not yet out, I don't see them going the way of skye. Fidelity just raised additional capital the other day(400million eurobond ie Over N160billion) But who knows, them fit share de money in one day. |
Mcy56:E go better my classmate. No mind them, all of them don pay school fees before before. U still be shareholder jare, nothing do u. |
Mcy56:I no fit do police work naa. Make Agba take my place abeg. |
I cannot vouch for any bank's integrity. Before CBN took over the likes of Intercontinental bank and Oceanic bank, they were among the main players in the banking sector and many saw them as part of the strongest. Ibru was still basking in her award as african banker of the year which award she received in london. Then suddenly sanusi took over and the rest is now history. FBNH was lucky, they delivered the bank form that Bisi of a guy. They are still not totally out of the woods anyway. For me, it can happen to any bank including gtb. The problem i have with those in skye is that the signs were there. Cbn started taking over this bank long ago. What we saw yesterday was just a completion of the script. I continue to laf at CBN's excuse that the shareholders refused to recapitalise since 2016. How will they recapitalise when CBN's appointees were in charge and had not released any report of the state of the company for shareholders to kw what to do. The same cbn appointees were the ones in the position to convene AGMs and EGMs for that purpose but never did. But they still put the blame on shareholders. |
Pple are scared of Diamond bank, but the next tsunami will not be from the banking sector. It will be in the insurance sector where a new set of reforms are being implemented. Many insurance firms will not meet their capital requirements. I remember one of them announcing plans to do rights issue abu na private placement of 40billion new shares. I just dey laf at their shareholders. |
aremso:Nothing will happen to accounts in skye bank. For them, its only a name change. Na shareholders go suffer. |
