jonathanOz:it's not about proving more catholic than the pope, it's about doing the right thing that would yield a long-term result. That some other people are doing it doesn't make it right, if most of are 25yrs old at under 17, how old will they be at senior level? 35 probably, that's why our football is now so backward, we need a lot of prayers to beat unknown country like Swaziland, no big name at the big stage anymore, the only Nigerian playing at a top team (Mikel), is benched 95% of the time, others play at foreign places not known with football or lower division - IF WE WANT TO MOVE FORWARD, WE NEED TO STOP CHEATING. |
Dragonking:He was right, some fools will still say trash. it's a known fact, Mri or not that Nigeria cheats, I don't understand why people like celebrating stupidity, insanity is doing thesame thing and expecting a different result. Nigeria has the highest trophies worldwide at the under 17 level, yet we never even won under 21 or under 23. we've never gotten to quarter finals at the senior level, who is fooling who? You think FIFA are fooled, you think fifa don't know we cheat, they've just allowed us to enjoy our stupidity, our shortcuts to happiness, I don't celebrate any under 17, I don't celebrate mediocrity, I guess the only set I can forgive are the Ihenacho's set because I think they're relatively younger, but they''ll still be around twenty. This is what we do in every other facets in Nigeria, it's all about the results, nobody want to do anything right, but like the under 17 victories that we like to celebrate -we win today, we weep tomorrow. |
djkirkoo2:Your point here, I don't get it. It's the nature of most if not all Nigerian politicians to not accept defeat, Buhari inclusive, reason being that our elections are not perfect, you'll always have one irregularity or the other to point to. But if you want to know who actually won, majority of the people will accept the result if you win, only your tribe or regions close to you will be crying blue murder, when you lose. So Jonathan actually won in 2011 no matter what. PMB. Or anyone said, even inspite of the irregularities and PMB won in 2015, he was the popular candidate, the only people crying are SS/S.E, and probably those who worked with him like Okupe, even deep down in your heart, you know, you people just don't like to concede. |
djkirkoo2:Ok you won't give up, pls answer these two simple questions, who was the INEC chairman in 2011? Who won the election? |
banio:Crying blue murder all day long, thesame JEGA conducted the election in 2011, PMB was also a candidate, some other northerners are candidates, But JONATHAN Won, there were far more irregularities in that election than the one of 2015, but JEGA declared Jonathan winner. Why can't you people just accept that Jonathan was no more popular in 2015 and let the nation finally move on, JEGA DID NOT CHANGE, THE PEOPLE DID!. |
djkirkoo2:Only shows that JEGA didn't change, but the people (VOTERS) did! |
midolian:Thank You very much for saying this, This is the kind of comment I'm looking for on the frontpage - JEGA was not biased when Jonathan won in 2011, but he was biased when he lost in 2015, fool! Everybody saw the hand writing on the wall, you can feel the pulse of the people, the only way Jonathan would win is through Rigging, he's lost the people, I guessed the only mistake Jonathan made was not to Rig enough to win (which was good for his own peace anyway). The only people that voted for Jonathan voted for tribal sentiments not on performance, I voted for Jonathan in 2011 and so did many Nigerians, but we can't repeat same error in judgment twice, if Buhari did not give us the change we want, I and many others who are not ruled by sentiments will vote them out come 2019, we won't stop until we get the desired NIGERIA, the key word is PERFORMANCE - accept defeat loser Okupe pls. |
I just wish they'll just allow these people to go, all these distractions and noise are not necessary, Nigeria need to move forward, we can't talk progress in a divided country, let Biafra go pls. But unfortunately i fear it won't happen under PMB, no president wants to have the record of being the one in power when Nigeria was divided, as clueless as Jonathan was, he was able to hold on to the end, I'm sure PMB won't let it happen, how i wish they could just go without war or trouble. |
People are just jobless, what's in this picture? there's nothing to condemn in this picture, it's just a normal selfie. |
shadelek:What exactly is the reason you want to see those you voted for? Is that why you voted them in? to be seeing them, how does that change your life? You only need to see their activities, the infrastructures and the proper governance of the state, that's their Job, that's why they're voted in, not eating Guguru and Groundnut at b.stop and taking pictures. |
ODUBEZE:Like you don't know politicians, with his gutter politics, he'd definitely gained popularity in the PDP and maybe some regions in Nigeria, I won't be surprised if he'll want to vie for the presidency on the platform of the PDP in 2019, but whatever his ambition is, he should sit down and work for the people he claim to love, the way to show appreciation to your people is to leave a legacy of good governance that the next governor after you will have problem keeping up, not clowning up and down the street. |
dokJ:Other governors shouldn't copy this, this is not dividend of democracy, this is clownishness, and cheap publicity, sit down and work for your people, have something to show at the end of your four years, that better the lots of the people... it's different from taking photo shoots up and down claiming you're people's governor, this will only deceive low minds. |
Yes, Ambode needs to start doing this to correct an impression that he's not working - He doesn't need to turn to Fayose who goes to market everyday to eat with market women and take pictures, but a little show off is needed in politics or people go bury you with criticism. This guy is not a fluent speaker like Fashola, but I believe he's working, he just need to start showing it. |
Great Article with great lessons, hope to see more of this on FrontPage, not tribal bashing threads or Apc, pdp threads. |
Na wa for RUMOR MONGERS oh! all the news about this are coming from Nigeria's HUNGRY BLOGGERS, no credible News sources like punch, vanguard, not even Goal.com, the Nigerian version, and there's no single international source - why people they convert their WISH TO NEWS na! |
My name is Olasupo, it's not not even a popular Yoruba name, but I cannot change it for anything in this world - I have English and other names, but no name makes more meaning to me than my Yoruba name, all my children's first name must be a Yoruba name I'm not condemning Desmond Eliot, I understand where he's coming from, he's not totally a Yoruba - I'm 100% Yoruba and proud. |
MissSlimbody:It's pathetic, such behaviors attracts curses, how can such a school grow? when you're feasting on people's labour and sweats. |
MissSlimbody:Chei! I'd rather be jobless. |
Osode: , greatest minds?... you don't use such words for gutter politicians, you use it for intellectuals.People like Fayose, after eating hot Amala or drinking beer with goat head will just say, 'Karomu people have not talked about me in the last three days, what can we do to cause a stir?' and Kamoru will give him another wonderful gutter advise ' Alamasia just died, maybe we can make something of that' |
kendrick9:I'm not a fan of any version of Nollywood, but when I mistakenly watch the Yoruba and the English Nolly, I always prefer the Yoruba. If you talk of 'No substance at all' and unnecessary part 1 to part 100, turn to English Nolly. Just sprinkles of standout producers like Kunle Afolayan are helping salvage the poor industry. |
They should rather be putting on black, or dark colours, everything's just white. |
I will not join the band wagon and blame Oliseh because of this, I think there's more to the story than what everybody knows, but for Enyeama, thank you for all your years of dedication to the national team, farewell. |
olumalcolm:The Bolded is very incorrect ' every coach had issues with enyeama, from Siasia to Keshi to Vorgt to even Nff. His disagreement with Siasia made us to loose qualification for AFCON in 2012. |
ladenz: why do you keep repeating 22yrs, 22yrs, you have believe problem? |
I agree with his reasons 100%, though i disagreed with how he communicated it. Amhed Musa is very qualified, sentiments apart, and he represents future eagles leadership. Some people are talking about how Ahmed will manage people like Mikel and Emenike, those ones are rounding up their career already, who cares, if they can't cope, they should retire earlier, he made the right choice but didn't manage the leadership change properly, there will definitely be uproar from different quarters when such things happen, it happened in Brazil, in Argentina, no surprise here! |
WailingWailer00:I wanted to insult you for using Buhari's name abusively then I saw your moniker and i gave up...you're just doing your job, keep it up |
I don't support the manner Oliseh went about the change in the captaincy, I thought he should have managed it better, communicate properly with Enyeama, especially since he was just bereaved. But I totally disagree with this poster suggesting that Musa cannot make a good captain, he has what it takes, he's Nigeria's best player now, nobody can contend that, he's about the most committed senior player, he can inspire others on the field to play better, and No, we don't need a fighter for captaincy and we don't have any senior player who's so good we cant do without. What I love about Oliseh's style as opposed to our wonderful Keshi is, he puts merits before sentiments, some are suggesting Mikel Obi, based on what exactly? Mikel should be thankful he was called up, you can't just choose based on age or years spent in the national team, he has to choose the most consistent, successful and disciplined senior player. I hope Oliseh succeeds, we need to stop the era of politicking with the national team and get down to business, like I said I don't agree with the way he treated Enyeama, but I don't think Musa is a bad choice. |
whirlwind7:The Mofo who gave a hateful comment is very stupid, not withstanding, I don't think any lady should be excused to look this way, even if she's into sports, except she actually wants to become a man. Nooo! it's ugly, you can't turn that way by accident, football doesn't build six packs, she definitely makes great efforts in body building, I've seen very beatiful female boxers, well built physically for sport, but you wont start confusing them for a man, Blessing Okagbare is physically built for athletics, but she's still womanly... but after all is said, it's still her life and her business, what can anybody do about it? Maybe she could connect with any of the gays guys who always feel they're women trapped in a man's body - PerfectCollaboOfLife. |
obioraval:People who talk like this, I can guess, are Ajebos, whose needs are all met and they have connection in high places, 60k is not much but with the present reality (for an everyday Nigerian o), it's a very good place to start, then you walk your way up, if possible do your masters while at it --> there are no guarantees anywhere, some Msc degree holders are seeking 50k job. Those who get smaller jobs have bigger chance to get a higher paying ones than those who've not gotten any at all. |
ahabue111:Even Phd holders are looking for Jobs this days, you go for Job interview and you see all kinds of certificates that will threaten you, end of the day, it may be a B.sc holder that will get the Job. He should go for the Job and then do his masters Part-time. He gets experience at work and also opportunities of opening for better and higher Jobs. |
MizMyColi:Your Political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian, but Young people looking for jobs lost their lives and nobody was sacked not to talk of prosecuted, CLUELESS, HYPOCRITE PRESIDENT!
|
abbey621:At least since they've become stars, these guys had been promoting them, their works, brands, that they're established doesn't mean they need less promotions, I know of the video awards soundcity had awarded these guys, of course they deserve it, They didn't say, do the show free, but be considerate, because we're more or less partners, then what i think spoilt everything is that statement "WHAT HAVE YOU EVER DONE FOR PSQUARE" aba! that's ugly, they could've turned them down with any flimsy excuse, it's nothing but disrespect and arrogance. |
