No Igbo man who has the interest of the Igbo nation at heart will accept what we're getting from this Nigeria. Even if he is a billionaire he can't be satisfied if he looks at our lands and our collective state of affairs. So I say its either Nigeria is restructured or we seek for secession. Now restructuring depends on the willingness of the other people of Nigeria to get while secession doesn't. An intelligent Igbo man should be able to identify which one is easily feasible. Are we as a people oppressed in Nigeria? Are we denied our entitlements? Is what we're getting presently the best we can get in our existence as a people? Will those who formed this skewed political structure be willing to change it for our good? If your answer is 'No', then the need for Biafra cannot be overemphasized.
The OP is not an Igbo man hence I'll call him an shameless impostor. He and his ilks swim in the ocean of deceit as they cannot bear to see a prosperous Igboland. It is his type that have frustrated any economic stimulating infrastructures from being built in the old eastern region. They employ all sort of tactics to ensure that unity does not return to our people. I'll not go into the numerous antics they use as I believe many of our people already know that. What many of our people who reason with them fail to understand is that they are only looking out for their own good not yours. With no good infrastructures in our place is it any wonder that our people troop to their place. Its a very simple thing. Who would want to leave a beautiful home in Igboland to go and live in slums if not for the enabling environment the FG sited in their region? With Lagos saturated is it any surprising that our people are now moving in droves to Ogun to develop it because of the proximity? Will our people carry their massive buildings on their heads any day they feel like relocating back home? We need to think. Keeping the status quo is only for their own good. Assuming the oil in our regions dry up tomorrow and there's no more free money to share will these people hesitate to fight you out of their regions? Will they be willing to pay you the worth of your investments there if you want to sell them. We need to think brothers. I have a policy which is I'll never live my life on another man's desires and at his own terms. It must be by mutual agreement. Our main goal as a people now must be to make our region economically viable by ensuring that our ports in the old eastern region functional and thereafter patronize them even if it is comparatively costly. Who says a positive change comes easily? With that we're sure of possessing a strong gateway. I'll come back for more.
VICTIM, VICTIM, VICTIM ALL THE TIME!

when will you people ever grow?

IMMATURITY: They're the reasons why I am (we're) not succeeding
MATURITY: I (WE) am where I am because of the decisions I made Yesterday

Pls Grow up you lots, nobody is after You, Before you exist with us, we've been, we're organized and we make our progress, If you want your Biafra, Go and have it. If you don't have developed cities like Lagos, BUILD IT, Abi na Yoruba or Hausa man they collect your Monthly Government allocations, Or when AWOLOWO was bulding the west in the past, he added your own money, don't you have leaders then? It;s funny how you insinuated that others are the reasons why your place is not developed enough -YOU PRACTICALLY BLAME PEOPLE FOR EVERYTHING, SHUSH!

And this Idea that you develop places that you go to, In fact, it will be a blessing for both of us, maybe you'll finally have your own mega city like Lagos and of course we would have far less populated cities, more organization, more control on crime and less pressure on our lands, more Order, and less infighting, complain and bickering, - fresh air.

But I need to warn you, Your problem is not BIAFRA, your problem is your ATTITUDES, if you don't fix it, you guys will still not be a united BIAFRA, In fact You should not even count on Niger-delta because they won't follow you. In Nigeria, the truth that everybody fills marginalized for one thing or the other here, but you can have what you want by agitating for it in a CIVILIZED way and cooperating with other regions to achieve your aspirations , - but that seems foreign to you I guess, since you're BETTER than every tribe and they are AFTER your downfall, that's probably how BIAFRA will be too - The Bulk still stop at your table.

Subject the issue of Biafra to referendum, at least it is constitutional and forget about who will be part of Biafra or not. Igbos have never bullied part of this country to be part of Biafraland, even the minority down Niger will have their say in the referendum. The Yorubas know why they are shaken to their marrows anytime issue of Biafra comes up.

You guys are just time wasters, you talk about secession and you're the most unprepared for it, which tribe is the most dispersed in the country, which tribe has it's properties and life savings in other regions? which tribe needs the markets of the other regions more, to sell their goods? We are more educated and well exposed than in 1914 when the amalgamation happened. So you have never heard about unity in diversity? The British left since the sixties and we are still going strong as a united nation. The most important lesson is understanding our differences and doing everything within our power to minimize it.
And do you think even if we split along ethnic lines, the Igbo man from Anambra will not love to lord it over and above his brother from Ebony I and vice versa. Or the Yoruba man from Osun will not like to overtake the man from Ogun?
It is about individuals!
Following your argument why should an Igbo man marrry a Yoruba Lady, then? Do they have similar cultures? Or why should an idoma lady marry a Fulani man?
It is very simple! Know your differences and minimize it. Each tribe and ethnic group in Nigeria has something positive to contribute if given the chance.
Probably the most enlightened Igbo man I've come across, how I wish there will be more Igbos with mentality like yours and this Nation will finally move forward. America is a nation with Varieties of ethnicities, even Race, but they lived together in unity, that is called CIVILIZATION, but here, we want to hold on to issues of 60 yrs ago, 100yrs ago - Nobody or no country moves forward, looking at the REAR-Mirror.

One more reason never to judge why people are the way they are

Let God do the judging ,judgment is not man's place ,she has had a tough childhood abused by the very people who should care for her and "her" way of expressing to the world what she has been through is what she does/what she is doing ........
Beneath that exterior is a child ,who has been through so much pain this is her way of fighting back a society that refused to protect the child in her

I know some people will say afterall she isn't the only one who experienced such but don't forget that as unique as our DNA is ,is also how unique our reactions to certain experiences are or will be
What Happened to her - That's not her Fault
What she does about it - That's her fault

Simple Question - Do you want to leave the world better than you met it?
The List is endless, of people who experienced far more horrible childhood but still turned out right, a good example is Oprah Winfrey

Another Question - What kind of LEGACY is she laying down for her daughter or her kinds in the society?

Another Question - How do you use your ANGER?
Another person would have used the opportunity to launch a crusade against RAPE, CHILD ABUSE AND MOLESTATION, to protect helpless women and children

WE ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR ACTIONS OR INACTIONS!

Y'all need to chill and get yourselves coordinated before you get yourselves arrested or shot at.

1. Wait for coordination before you go so you can go en mass. It has to be a joint movement across social media. There will be a protest at Unity Fountain, near Millennium Park in Abuja on Friday by 5pm to start plans.

2. The protest for Lagos has not been fixed yet so it will be soon I guess

3. The Lagos state house does not sit on weekends. You will just go there to loiter the place and make noise.

4. I heard one of Buhari's kid will be involved in Abuja at least. Not confirmed yet

5. Dino Melaye might show.

6. Calm yourselves down and get coordinated before you start jumping up and down.

7. I thought you people loved the idea of the Deputy speaker? Now that he has shown his colors you scream. Oh well, as usual we have to suffer the myopia of others. Nonsense.

In other words....hold on for further info and don't make plans alone
I agree we should get coordinated, Barrister Ubani was saying something similar on Radio this morning, we can't fight effectively at different fronts, WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER.

You are a jobless clown. Did the allowances issue start with Buharis government? Why didn't you lead a civil disobedience when your god GEJ was there? You want to cause problems for Buhari ba? No other government in Nigeria's history has ever destroyed the economy of Nigeria like GEJ but you didn't lead any civil disobedience all through its history. You are a paid PDP agent and any understanding Nigerian will do anything within his power to stay far away from you and your suggestions!
my brother, for once, forget about Buhari, I voted for Buhari too, we are talking about our future here, with this trend, NO GOVERNMENT CAN SUCCEED, these people don't care about parties or tribe they just want to EMBEZZLE and they achieve it easily when we keep fighting foolishly.
PoliticsRobbers In The House Of Assembly by mpowa(op): 9:10am On Jun 17, 2015
I'M THINKING ALOUD THIS MORNING; For evil to prevail, good people have to keep quiet, this is the time to mobilize all young people to move this nation forward, let's say no to the biggest Armed robbery gang in Nigeria, they don't carry gun, they don't sweat, they only dress in Agbada or suit and go to a house called HOUSE_OF_ASSEMBLY and they loot the nation dry.

As if it's not enough that they are the most paid House-of assembly in the world, as is if is not enough that they are about one of the largest houses in the world in terms of numbers - 109 for senate, 360 for house of representative, their allowances are unthinkable, the most recent being the 9 BILLION Naira for WARDROBE ALLOWANCE alone, that's approximately 20 million naira per member for just clothes, this is against the backdrop of a lot of unpaid salaries of workers at the federal and state levels, of the bad state of the economy due to fallen oil price, of the huge dept incurred by the country from the last administration at all levels, federal and states.

Now we're yet to talk about other allowances, that will definitely be higher than this one; housing allowance, furniture allowance, vehicle allowance, hardship allowance, miscellaneous allowance, all kinds of allowances --- these are same people who don't create any tangible laws except the ones that enriches them more or protect them from prosecutions, some of them go to the house to sit down throughout their four years in the house, some even go there to sleep, these are all legalized money o!, they will yet steal some illegally. Then their is the state house, with about 800 or more members, some states houses have two representatives for a local government, those ones too will do their own, but really, we can't see the effect, we don't know what laws they're creating

No matter the intentions of Buhari and Osinbajo, I don't know how anybody can do anything meaningful under this atmosphere, after these thieves have finished looting the whole treasury, what will be left to do anything meaningful for the masses? We must not wait for another 4years to start shouting, THE CHANGE WE WANT IS NOT A PARTY, but that our lives, Nigerians' lives gets better - we want light, we want good roads, infrastructures, better internet services, Jobs for the unemployed, they won't happen with these thieves taking the country's throat by the jugular.

This as nothing to do with party affiliations or tribes, I in fact I think most Nigerians are foolish, these people have PERMANENT INTEREST but they use PARTY or TRIBE to divide us - The people committing this crime presently are from every tribe in Nigeria and are also in both major parties, when it favours them, they always AGREE TOGETHER

The greatest thing Tinubu gave Buhari was not South-west Votes but Strategies and Structure, he promoted him, he gave him the media, promoted the INTEGRITY idea, by providing a vice with a similar profile, pulling enough forces all over the country to make APC to be finally more powerful than the PDP, Recreated his international image, massively supported him financially.

Buhari had always been popular in the north but he lacked Administration and Structure and he has a very bad image as a northern Jihadist - He won a lot more votes beyond the southwest because of what APC and Tinubu did.
PoliticsRe: Buhari And Dolapo Osinbajo With Mothers Of Chibok Girls In Abuja Today by mpowa(m): 10:34pm On Jun 12, 2015
ire700:
You are right. These women are "crisis actors". It is critical that Nigerians debunk the Chibok Schoolgirls Hoax as soon as possible. This story was a massive “psychological attack” on Nigeria as a nation carried out by “exogenous forces” with the active complicity of “endogenous forces” namely a faction of the Action People Congress.

This sham must be exposed by Nigerian truth seekers, in an effort to thwart the ongoing western destabilization of the country. Denouncing the lies surrounding the Chibok saga does not imply that the fact that the issue of kidnapping in Nigeria is not acknowledged and that it should not be treated seriously by the authorities.

According to the Global Database of Events (www.gdeltproject.org), there were 2,285 kidnappings in Nigeria in the first four months of 2014 why would the “invisible” 300 Chibok schoolgirls receive more attention than the other 2,000 abductions for the same period? Why would the Western media care so much about kidnappings in Nigeria? The reason is clear. It aims at keeping a focus on Nigeria in an effort to portray the country as a “failed state” incapable of protecting its people.
What I wonder is; why some of us care more about not looking bad than to stop this evil, if by your statistics, about 2, 258 people in 4 months doesn't it still make the country a Failed state? Or you need your family to be among them to appreciate the gravity of this evil, either it was chibok girls or any other people, it was obvious that the GEJ government lost total control of the state, this is the kind of reasoning that made him fail, it took him a whole two weeks to make a statement on the issue after the whole world had gotten involved, Everything to him was ' they're after me, they're getting at me' No empathy, no leadership, even if it's a hoax as insinuated, a leader will give a benefit of doubt cos it involve a lot of lives - make a public statement on how unfortunate it is and that you'll investigate. Then you do your homework, to unravel the supposed SCAM (@ least you're the government), but the best they could come up with are lies from Okupe, Fanikayode etc linking APC to Boko Haram, playing politics with the lives of the precious citizens -Now if you tanoids still believe it was cooked up, come up with your investigations and give us the proof, enough said!

Don't pity me sister I know better. I believe in what science can prove. What religion can't prove they shield it with "just have faith". Forgive me for being a "doubting Thomas". But last I read the bible it said "blessed are those who don't see but believe". It didn't say not believing before seeing is a sin. Saul/Saul saw before he believed. If I don't get to see and don't believe and then I'm condemned for not believing how is that fair. Democracy is giving everybody a level playing field with the same rules. Say no to DICTATORSHIP!!!!!!
The problem with knowledge is that it ends in foolishness, I mean, how many things can you prove really? Many people in modern times pride themselves of being enlightened, the Jews ask for a sign, the Greek wants wisdom ( like science), but we preach Christ is crucified. Life becomes meaningful only for those who have faith God. Even the science most people hide under ( as cover to runaway from God) has a lot of loopholes, I mean, you need more faith to believe in the evolution story than the Bible - since we've known, no body have seen ape coming close to becoming human beings, and the incredible story of giraffe growing a long neck while eating leaves from trees?

But science have in many times discovered the truths of the bible after laborious years of research, example for many years people believed that the earth was flat, while the bible have simple stated it in many places that the earth is round (example Isiah 40:22, job 26:10). and all the things happening in the world now don't surprise us (Christians) because we know what the future holds, how the world will end, the wiser thing to do is to just have faith, but I guess, most people want it the harder way, the feeling of challenge, of wisdom - Life is CHOICE.

The bible and all other "spiritual" books have too many unanswered question. One of the many reasons many people don't do religion anymore. To me, live your life right and do good by your conscience. If there is a God out there, the only thing he gave to man to guide his ways is his conscience and not any book be it Bible or Quran. If God actually sent us a book he would make it easy for anyone and everyone to understand it easily.
A very dangerous way to live, it'll be too late to discover the truth when you're dead. The better option is to search for the truth now and stick with it and you're safe for eternity, I've found mine and it is Christ and Christianity.

" The kingdom of God is like a HIDDEN TREASURE field which a man sought with all his might and after he has found it, he sold all he has and bought that field " - Jesus Christ (emphasis mine)

All these grammar na hogwash, yes most of us are illiterates, in fact we don't even know how to spell 'economy' but we know the basics, the basics are that food is on the table of the common man, that things are better than they used to be, not paper economy, not our lives getting better on charts and statistics, not nonsense awards to people whose impact cannot be felt by the common man, not rise in the nation's dept, not borrowing to pay workers salaries. And in the midst of all these there are numerous presidential jets, some militants are feeding fat, there's leakages everywhere in the economy.

With all these what people like you want is for the people who are suffering to be smiling and keep singing the praise of our corrupt leader for either your myopic or whatever reason, tell Yale university to bring their school here for 1yr under NOI's watch, we'll see if they'll still give the nonsense award afterwards.
