Northern Muslims abeg make una caution your young ones o.. When last have you heard a Muslim from south-south, south-east and south-west killed base on religion ground? Not even in Saudi Arabi that home the Prophet Nor it neighboring countries (UA) is such senseless act been done. Prophet never order killing on his behalf, in fact during his life time the pagan of Mekkah insulted him, stoned him (just as jesus was stoned by isrealite) yet he order peace not war. It was said that you can ONLY fight if you're forced and oppressed not to perform your religious right and don't kill except they attempted killing you and while fighting don't kill WOMEN, CHILDREN, ELDERS, who didn't intent fighting you and anybody that willing surrender. Likewise don't kill by fire and don't destroy properties. With strong indications Prophet has never initiated any war, he was oppressed and forced to fight in defends by his enemy. No doubt, you guys have talented and respected Muslims but most of your people lack any understanding of this religion of ours #some don't even search for knowledge but rather based their fact on hearsay #sad The Prophet said " travel even if it will take you to China just to get knowledge, don't be ignorant and don't base your fact on what people say. I think there is urgent need for Northern leaders to talk to their youths and children to seek for knowledge and stop black mailing Islam. Islam is for peace, Prophet preaches Peace not War. |
By Lawal Abdullateef KD/15B/1466 PPA, as generally known, is the nightmare of most corps members, many corps members prefer to serve in NDA, NMS, industries, tertiary institutions, federal and state ministry, thinking they will have more comfort and will be well paid if fortunately posted to such place, infact some go to extra miles and are willing to pay any amount to ensure they're posted one of the place mentioned above. Only 5% corps members if not lesser are willing to serve in school, Why? They don't want to teach, they don't want to give what they were given before becoming a corps member. Anyway my different as I am happy to serve my fatherland in Ehcowas Discovery Academy, Hayin Banki, EDA is a secondary school located in Hayin Banki area of Igabi local government, they treat corps members like angles, they provide enabling environment for corps members, nice accommodation, provide monthly allowance and also provide extra allowance, E.G christmas allowance, Sallah Allowance E.t.c. I urge every corps member to accept anyway they are posted to, as it might be much better than where they are going extra miles to get. |

Abuja - The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced the introduction of a newly-fixed rate for the sale of kerosene across the country, Naij reports. According to Alhaji Tokunbo Korodo, leader of the south Nigeria Union for Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), the new price is set to encourage more importation of the product. Also read: Buhari orders NNPC to intensify oil exploration "The NNPC has fixed N150 per litre as the new depot price of kerosene and has directed all its depots and private depot to comply with the directive. "The advantage of this is that it will open door for more marketers to commence importation of kerosene just like petrol," Korodo said, Vanguard reports. The announcement follows a statement released by the Emir of Kano, revealing that the payment of a fuel subsidy was an opportunity to enrich a few people at the expense of the nation. http://m.news24.com.ng/Nigeria/National/News/kerosene-to-now-sell-at-n150litre-nnpc-20160808 |
Difference Between the Bible And Qur'an
This came to me as a question from a sister, so I
thought of writing a post for the benefit of others
too.
The word "Bible" comes from the Greek word Biblos
which means "collection of books", while the word
"Qur'an" is an Arabic word.
The word Bible is not in the Bible but the word
Qur'an is in the Quran.
It is mentioned in the Qur'an 2:185 - "Ramadhan is
the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a
guide to mankind...".
Similarly, it is so found in verses 17:88, 59:21.
The name Bible was neither given by Jesus Christ
(pbuh) nor Moses(pbuh) nor by any other prophet.
Neither did God Almighty choose the name Bible.
What we Muslims believe in is the Injil(Gospel) which
is the revelation given to Prophet Jesus (pbuh) by
God Almighty.
But if we open the New Testament, we see 4
Gospels. And these are "Gospel according to"
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The question is - why
use the words "according to" ?
In his lifetime Jesus Christ (pbuh) didn't write a word
nor did he dictate a single word nor was a word
written. The New Testament we have today was
never present at the time of Jesus(pbuh). Not only
that, he didn't even know that after him there would
be books by the name Romans, Corinthians,
Galatians, Colossians, etc.
The earliest of the 4 gospels to be written was the
Gospel of Mark, some 40 years after Jesus(pbuh).
Another difference I see between the Bible and the
Qur'an is about versions. The Qur'an has 114 chapters
- whether you go to America or Africa or Europe or
any other place in the world.
The Protestant Bible has 66 books, the Roman
Catholic Bible has 73 books while other Bibles have
78 and 81 books.
The Qur'an has been memorised by heart (cover to
cover) by thousands of people of world over and that
too in the Arabic language.
I am not sure how many Christians know their Bible
cover to cover and that too in the original language !!
There is something called as The Red Letter Bible.
Anything which Jesus Christ (pbuh) is supposed to
have said is in Red while the other verses are in
Black. And if you see the New Testament, most of it
is in black.
In Islam we have 3 different categories
1) Word of God - this is the Qur'an
2) Word of the Prophet - this is the Hadith
3) Word of the historians
But in the case of the Bible, all these 3 are in 1 book.
And you also have something (4th category), for
which you can refer to Ezekiel 23.

In the light of some brainless nairalander who choose to use nairaland to confuse people and make them a pagan as they are. Sit yourself down and ask yourself these questions. 1. If there is no God how did the world come about 2. How did Sun, moon and others came to existence 3. Why do people die 4. Why are scientist still unable to stop death Lastly please answer how possible is the story below. I went to a river and to my surprise i something that amaze and shocked me, when I got to the rival I saw tree cutting down itself, I was surprise and decide to see what will happen, after few minutes the tree started forming ship on the offshore, yet I standstill and kept watching. Few minutes later the tree formed a ship and drove itself onshore, to my surprise it kept driving itself onshore, without anybody controlling it. If you believe this story is possible then it's possible for your brainless skull to believe there is no God. But if don't believe the story then think twice, it is never possible for the world to form itself and keep sustaining itself without a divine power. I rest my case. |

Nigerian Media: Truth versus Reality
In the past few days, the hearts of genuine citizens of
our great nation have bled over the news of the
killing of a female Christian preacher by alleged
Muslim fanatics in Kubwa area of the FCT, Abuja. I
was actually alerted by a friend's ext message
because although i reside in the affected area, i was
far away in Ibadan, Oyo State, as at the time of the
incident. As an average concerned Nigerian, i
thought, when will this nation be free from religious
and ethnic crises? But as a journalist and one with
eye for investigation, i knew i had a duty at hand. So,
on my return to the city, i visited the particular
street, the particular spot, conducted personal
investigation and secret interviews, and made several
findings. I became sad! Why? Most of the information
doled out by our media are NOT TRUE! For the
avoidance of doubt, there was no evidence of anyone
present when the woman died. Witnesses only said
they met her dead. Secondly, i did not find anyone to
confirm that any part of the woman was missing or
mutilated. I talked with one who saw the corpse early
that morning, with two policemen, before the news
went viral. Thirdly, there was no mosque in that
street or behind the spot. Fourthly, the vicinity had
been under the torment of cultism in the past few
months, in fact, two separate persons were found
killed and dumped in the area recently, one of them
on the street adjacent this particular one. The police
is actually on the trail of s notorious cult who is
believed to have sneaked into and hiding in the area.
The police is insisting that they met the corpse body
intact. But, alas! What my colleagues wrote were
terrifying. In fact, it revived hatred, instigated
religious intolerance and personal mistrust. I am
sure many of you journalists who wrote the story
were not in Abuja, you just received the news from
friends and forwarded to your headquarters, which
also did not verify before going to press. I also know
that many of those in Abuja then did not visit the
place, nor conduct proper investigation. For an issue
as critical as religion and ethnicity, most of you
goofed! The media is an indefatigable player in
nation building, and no society is firmly built on
negligence and mistrust as being displayed by our
journalists. But, the media houses too are at fault.
Most of them pay peanuts for staff while the few at
the top swim in affluence. Where, then, is the
resource and motivation for the reporter to carry out
investigative reporting and due diligence. To survive,
many journalists are pipers in the hands of
politicians, religious leaders and businessmen and
even government, who dictate their tune. Yet, the
masses are at the receiving end because they
naturally hold on to the news from the media. It is a
hell a times, to change the people's perception on
issues, over which our media had made serious
blunders. I had had to show identity cards to some,
before they agree to reason along the right
perspective. The corruption on the media is much,
but our colleagues can just help hold on to the truth.

As part of his personal Community Development
Service (CDS), A corps member Lawal Abdullateef
serving in Kaduna state has trained over 100 students
on plantain chips production and took another 30 on
excursion to a computer company; hepzibah
integrated technology limited.
The plantain chips production training took place on
the 3rd of March 2016 at three different locations;
EHCOWAS Discovery Academy, Government
Secondary School Kawo, and Government Girls
Secondary School Kawo, all within Igabi Local
Government, Kaduna where the corps member
currently serves.
The students were taken through the process of
sourcing materials for production and a practical on
the process of producing plantain chips was
undertaken by the corps member.
Explaining the process, Abdullateef said that the
students must maintain good personal hygiene
throughout the production.
“After collecting the raw plantain, we first peel and
slice into a clean container. After this, we will add
food colourant, table salt, sugar and water at
required quantity before frying. We can either fry
with vegetable or palm oil depending on choice. We
must be neat and careful during this process so as to
have good output.” He explained.
The following day, 4th February 2016, the students of
EHCOWAS Discovery Academy were taken on an
excursion to to hepzibah Integrated Technology
limited located, Magajin gari, Kaduna.
They were received by the Head of the training Mr
Kelle Irenuma who took them through the Business,
networking, hardware and sales departments of the
company.
Commenting on the organisation of the students, Mr
Irenuma said that the students were well organized
as he would love to see them take up different
trainings with the company.
The overjoyed students in their comments said that
they have learned as well as enjoyed themselves
during the excursion and training.
One of them, Hajara Mahmud Mahmud an SS3
student of the school when asked about the excursion
replied that it was the ‘best excursion experience she
ever had.’ In her remarks, the principal of Ehcowas
Discovery Academy, Hajiya Fatima Muhammad
lauded the corps member on the initiative. While
urging the students to take it serious, she said that
the knowledge will assist them not to solely depend
on the government in the future.
Thanking God for the successful successful
completion of the projects, Abdullateef who hailed
form Kwara state said that he was encouraged
because the world is changing in technological and
business fields.
“We are in the computer era and everything you do
now requires computer literacy that is why I deem it
fit to take them on the excursion to expose them to
new things. For the plantain training, it is something I
have been doing before and I feel I should train
them on a skill which will serve them in the present
and the nearest future.” He stated.
Abdullateef, a 2015 Batch B corps member of Kaduna
state also informed about other of his projects which
include; plantain production training for community
residents, a public health lecture and a debate
competition among schools in the local government.
