This boy's situation is similar to many exploitative ones in Nigeria that never saw the light of the day because the offender was a corrupt politician.

4. What has stopped the progressive governors running back to the president to brief him and make their appeal?

It is obvious Buhari signlehandedly chose the present APC chairman for him to do his bidding. And the sole selection of the presidential candidate by him is among them.
Buhari's wish to solely present the candidate was known. And he had his preferred candidate. And obviously, Tinubu was not the one because events before and after the nomination still prove it.
With all the foregoing, it was obvious with all the available facts that Buhari's preferred candidate was the one the APC chairman (Buhari's puppet) brought out as the consensus.
Had it been there was no opposition or negative aftermath, the selection would have stood.
So Buhari actually told his puppet to present lawal as consensus. They are just beating around the bush and avoiding telling the truth.
