When I asked he said he has paid,when I give him my share of the money, he rejects it.

Now my boyfriend comes weekends,he doesn't greet him,even when my bf hails him, he answers reluctantly! He then puts off all his electronics hoping to hear moanings and ends up disappointed. If I pack my bag for the weekend,he jumps out of his flat to stylishly ask if i'm going to the mainland or my aunty's house in Oniru. I usually give him same reply "i'm going to Aguda to see my bobo" He then offers to drop me off at the bus stop which I always turn down.

I'v never seen him with any lady, neither has any lady come to the house to visit,he's always alone.Even when I encourage him to start dating again,he usually says Slim, hardworking independent ladies are hard to find. You said the op had a girlfriend, which pretty much rubbishes insinuations that he is gay.

He is 13 years older, so I may be estimate he is 40ish. Ever wondered why he is still single at such age? He has specific expectation from his dream girl, ie slim, independent etc. Some guys may be on the autistic spectrum. That does not make them weird, but they are very choosy in life and set high expectations for themselves and others. From all you said, he has shown kindness to you and no hostility. Maybe he feels you are that slim and independent woman he dreams of dating but too shy or don't have the balls to ask you out. Your boyfriend may even intimidate him.

The guy being "black or dark" sounds like a very superficial excuse just like him breaking up with his ex for being overweight. Besides are there other flats in the compound or other residents so you can judge if he is equally kind to them? If you are ever to break up with your boyfriend he seems a good person who can cater to your needs.

We should try not to stereotype people based on the colour of their skin country of origin etc. What matters more is each individual whether they have a good heart or not.

Not all West Indians dislike Nigerians/Africans and vice versa. Some of my best friends were and are from the caribbeans. Similarly I have come across some that were hostile, but a closer look revealed that they are also nasty to people from other cultures and even to their fellow caribbeans. It all boils down to upbringing and self esteem issues.

We should also realize that the caribbeans is very diverse although Jamaicans form the largest population. I even met a white Jamaican the other day
